“Tastes like home cooked, Sunday lunch after church. We ordered the chicken and shrimp alfredo, grilled pork chop, and fried catfish. All were great but highly recommend the catfish! Oh, and my husband said the stuffing tastes like his Grandma's when she made it from scratch. I agree. Very satisfying.“
“I asked my friend to recommend a good place for soul food and knew he'd steered me well before I'd even gotten the restaurant's front door open. The smell was rich and warm and felt like a hug.Smoked turkey melting off the bones and served in its own sumptuous stock ... Slow cooked greens with a bit of potlikker to drink at the end ... Butter beans that were rich and creamy, perfectly cooked and not at all mushy. And a side of homemade cornbread.Mmmm! Yes, ma'am, pleaseandthankyou!“

“I either received someone’s order, or they gave me what they wanted me to have….I’ve got to start checking my order!Good thing the food is good and the folks are friendly. I would give the service all stars if I had received what I ordered.(Also did not get the cobbler I paid for…. I know I didn’t need, but I wanted it. . )“
“I am generally not one to eat at gas stations. I have nothing against them, it is just that they aren't part of my normal pattern for eating. New Orleans Lunchbox is the only one to get into my lunch rotation list. And I am told everything is good there, but I have never gotten past the Jambalaya. The first time I went I bought a quart because I was in a hurry and have never gotten past it on the menu because it is so good. It is thick with a variety of meats and some heat that gives it a little kick without any tears or need for buttermilk to sooth the burn. These people make a tasty mix for Jambalaya. It is at Holmes and Jordan which is easy access from Redstone or Research park and they do have some seating, but I always get mine to go and eat it on teleconferences. Great stuff. Great people. Definitely worth the stop.“
