“Every little detail has been thought of. Nothing was out of place. The mixed drinks were a perfect mix. The oysters were very cold. The soup was exceptional. The server was extremely friendly and knew her menu. Even the chef came out and checked on us. Our one complaint is the size of 2 types of oysters were VERY small (size of a quarter). I prefer a frozen mingionette shaved ice, though their's is a well balanced version, similar to what is in the PNW. If you want a restaurant that has food with love and is well thought out in every detail, this place is worth it and then some.”

Treating fresh local ingredients so well and not over complicating the plate is a rare thing. Most chefs try to show you how "cheffy" they are. Get the Carolina Gold Rice with the Blue Crab. It's the perfect dish. Fresh Crab, the rice is perfection and would make southern food enthusiasts like Sean Brock ask for seconds. We'll done!”

“My granddaughter and I recently dined at Chuck’s Fish to celebrate her graduation. The food, drinks and atmosphere were excellent. We had kimchi Brussels, uptown shrimp, and a delicious sushi roll. Then we really did it up big with the white chocolate bread pudding. The staff went above and beyond. Very friendly and attentive. Can’t say enough about how delicious the meal was. One of the owners came to our table and checked on us to make sure we were being taken care of, which we were. I would highly, highly recommend this place!!!”

“My fiancée and I ate here for the first time last night. The entire experience was utterly fantastic. We were there with a large social group who meet once a month at different restaurants in Mobile and Baldwin counties. There are always going to be challenges with a large group, and we have had some downright awful experiences; this was the exact opposite. The servers were super friendly and knowledgeable, and if they don’t know the answer, they will find someone who does. They are also very serious about allergy issues, with a dedicated fryer AND a dedicated boiler for gluten free noodles. I also got to speak briefly with the owner, Tyler (spoilers: he’s a nice guy and a great chef). He brought me a sample of a dish they are working on because I’d seen it on their FB page and asked him about it. We will 100% be back to eat here again, and we recommend everyone else come eat too.”

The server here was wonderful and friendly. She told me everything that came on what I was ordering and helped me figure out what I wanted. I wanted everything! Oh. My. Goodness. It was so good!!! The cook made it perfectly and I am gonna be back to get this goodness! Who would have thought I would get my gravy fix at the Waffle House?”

We almost didn't go back but I'm glad we did.
They fully redeemed themselves this time.
It started with the greeting as we walked in and only got better as things went along. Showtime was one of the best servers we've seen in a long time anywhere we've eaten and Morris is a grill operator extraordinaire. They got our order right despite the fact that we had difficult special requests and are extremely exacting.
We will definitely be returning and probably sooner than later.

“Drive from Bay Springs MS to Mobile for supper last night. Found the restaurant through an internet sesrch, with no prior knowledge. Walked in, was seated immediately. The waitress was very pleasant and took our order and brought our drinks immediately. Bread and salad was out quickly, when that was finished, the main course was there. All very efficient and quick. The wife got a ribeye, medium well, it was grilled to perfection with a good smoky flavor I had fried shrimp, onion rings and sweet potato casserole. They came with cocktail, tartar and comeback sauces. Shrimp were fried to perfection and I think this may have been the best onion rings I’ve ever had. Generous portions. And when we got our bill, it did not break the bsnk. Very reasonable. Would not hesitate to go back or to recommend this place to anyone. Great experience.”

“If you find yourself in The Living Room in Mobile, Alabama you owe it to yourself to try the burger. It is melt in your mouth amazing. I had planned to only eat half and take the rest back to my hotel fridge to have the next day for lunch. However, after one bite it was suddenly my cheat day! Ohmygoodness! My next thought as I savored this culinary masterpiece was to at least save the fries for another meal. Nope! They were decadent! I am diabetic, so I fought the urge to eat them all. I did however leave them at the bar for those having a drink because it’s blasphemous to leave anything that delicious to get refrigerated and reheated, much less thrown away.
I will say they could use more servers and bar tenders when it’s busy, because I did have to wait, but I kind of forgot all about that once I tasted the burger!”

I was going to start working for her and in doing that we have developed a strong, wonderful friendship. So last year, we decided to start celebrating our birthday together by going to lunch, whatever - just a Girls Birthday Out. This year we decided to go to Olive Garden. This place NEVER disappoints. This is probably my second favorite place to eat Italian food, the first being my house because yep, I am Italian. You can't fail with the soup, salad and bread sticks, but all of the sauces are really delicious. I've tried most of them (you know, just to see...) This visit we had the most delightful waitress - young, clean cut, articulate, she was a pleasure! And when we told her we were celebrating our birthdays, we received a free dessert! Very special. And affordable. Olive Garden is a traditional favorite (but you'll have to come for dinner at my house sometime. Just sayin...)”
