“My granddaughter and I recently dined at Chuck’s Fish to celebrate her graduation. The food, drinks and atmosphere were excellent. We had kimchi Brussels, uptown shrimp, and a delicious sushi roll. Then we really did it up big with the white chocolate bread pudding. The staff went above and beyond. Very friendly and attentive. Can’t say enough about how delicious the meal was. One of the owners came to our table and checked on us to make sure we were being taken care of, which we were. I would highly, highly recommend this place!!!”

It's the perfect dish. Fresh Crab, the rice is perfection and would make southern food enthusiasts like Sean Brock ask for seconds. We'll done!”

“We've dined at the Dauphin's a few times before during previous visits to Mobile, AL and always enjoyed the experience. Unfortunately, this recent visit during Memorial Day weekend was a bit of a letdown. While the service was okay, the food left much to be desired. The main issue was the white fish of the day limon style, which was overcooked ~ extremely dry and hard with a side of overcooked, slimey asparagus. This was quite disappointing, especially since it's a dish I've enjoyed here in the past. However, the rest of the items we ordered were pretty good, maintaining the quality I've come to expect. I have to add that portions are above average size so if you're looking to try dessert, you may want to skip appetizers. One consistent highlight is the view from the 34th floor, which is simply amazing and adds a wonderful ambiance to the dining experience, especially during sunset. The cocktail with thyme is also great. Overall, this visit was not as impressive as previous ones, but I hope it was just an off night for the kitchen. We may give it another chance due to the beautiful setting and the generally good food we've had in the past. Unfortunately, based on this visit, I'd only be able to give it 3 stars.”

Ambiance is good, except that it gets quite loud when busy and difficult to hear the person you're speaking to unless they speak loudly, which just contributes to the problem. Not a big deal unless you want a quiet dinner. Not sure much can be done to fix this. I think it's just the acoustics of the large open dining area. The seating could be a bit more comfortable. The metal chairs can be a bit hard and uncomfortable, and some find it difficult to maintain good posture as they are sliding around on the chairs. Some seat cushions would probably fix that. It is also very bright. Not am issue to me, but some would prefer a little less lighting, which could improve the ambiance. Some dimmer switches and maybe some candles for the tables could address that.”

Does the owner not like the thousands of folks from New Orleans that now live in Mobile ?
When I have asked that just ONE of the TV's be out on the saints game I've been told the staff is not allowed to change the channel.
Can the person who does have the authority consider the demographics of the store customers ?
The Washington game was on today and I don't think anyone in this part of the country cares . The other TVs just seemed to have on a random channel.
Maybe at least the store manager should have enough autonomy to make such a small decision?

“Drive from Bay Springs MS to Mobile for supper last night. Found the restaurant through an internet sesrch, with no prior knowledge. Walked in, was seated immediately. The waitress was very pleasant and took our order and brought our drinks immediately. Bread and salad was out quickly, when that was finished, the main course was there. All very efficient and quick. The wife got a ribeye, medium well, it was grilled to perfection with a good smoky flavor I had fried shrimp, onion rings and sweet potato casserole. They came with cocktail, tartar and comeback sauces. Shrimp were fried to perfection and I think this may have been the best onion rings I’ve ever had. Generous portions. And when we got our bill, it did not break the bsnk. Very reasonable. Would not hesitate to go back or to recommend this place to anyone. Great experience.”

The 2 young guys working were friendly, outgoing and truly a joy to talk with. staff was awesome. We had made tried the sausage they used before and they gave us a sample, as well as the soups and oh my gosh, they were divine. If we had more room or lived locally, we would have taken a quart or two of either one of the soups: today there was a taco soup and a beef noodle one. I highly recommend either one. Everything was fresh, serving sizes were adequate and prices were fair. If you are in the area, check it out; you won't be disappointed.”

“Had a great experience this morning at the bank location. I am not a big coffee drinker, so wasn’t too sure what to order. Matthew was so friendly, helpful, and just really seemed to enjoy his job. He even made sure I liked my drink before I walked away from the counter. I got my toddler a strawberry banana smoothie and a sausage, egg, and cheese croissant… he inhaled both. I got a sugar free coconut/sugar free salted caramel iced coffee that was great; not too sweet, not too bitter. We utilized the outdoor seating area, which was gated, so it was great to let my toddler “be a toddler,” without disturbing others. The only thing that would have made it better would be canopies or shade over the outdoor seating area. We will be back!”

I had Christin as my waitress and she was absolutely delightful. Christian, Michelle and Madison were also working today and were so sweet! I’ll definitely be back soon and would recommend brunch or date night to anyone looking for a hip atmosphere with great personality. 10/10”

Worth trying to see if it fits your bar type at least once recommended for at least one visit on a slow night Sunday- Wednesday and at least once on Friday or Saturday to see if it fits your type of bar liking.”

“02-07-2025: I came here around 15:30 or so and the parking lot was packed. I was surprised I didn’t have to stand in line; I was seated promptly. My friend, K.N., showed up shortly after. We had an excellent meal and were both very happy. I got the 16 oz. sirloin (medium) with a loaded potato and loaded sweet potato on the side. It was oh so good and cooked to perfection! When we were done eating, the pay-at-the-table electronic device was nice! I absolutely love that convenience and wish all places were like that! I wish I got some pictures of my dinner, but it was too late…lol…maybe next time…..and there will be a next time! :)

“We've dined at the Dauphin's a few times before during previous visits to Mobile, AL and always enjoyed the experience. Unfortunately, this recent visit during Memorial Day weekend was a bit of a letdown. While the service was okay, the food left much to be desired. The main issue was the white fish of the day limon style, which was overcooked ~ extremely dry and hard with a side of overcooked, slimey asparagus. This was quite disappointing, especially since it's a dish I've enjoyed here in the past. However, the rest of the items we ordered were pretty good, maintaining the quality I've come to expect. I have to add that portions are above average size so if you're looking to try dessert, you may want to skip appetizers. One consistent highlight is the view from the 34th floor, which is simply amazing and adds a wonderful ambiance to the dining experience, especially during sunset. The cocktail with thyme is also great. Overall, this visit was not as impressive as previous ones, but I hope it was just an off night for the kitchen. We may give it another chance due to the beautiful setting and the generally good food we've had in the past. Unfortunately, based on this visit, I'd only be able to give it 3 stars.”
