Treating fresh local ingredients so well and not over complicating the plate is a rare thing. Most chefs try to show you how "cheffy" they are. Get the Carolina Gold Rice with the Blue Crab. It's the perfect dish. Fresh Crab, the rice is perfection and would make southern food enthusiasts like Sean Brock ask for seconds. We'll done!”

“Been here numerous times and always a positive experience!! Bloody Marys are THE BEST IVE EVER HAD and yesss, they really do have real squid ink in them. I PROMISE you, they’re better than anywhere else I’ve ever been, everrrr. Every single variety of the Bao are out of this world, I can’t decide which one is my favorite. Teens say the burgers are BOMB, hot chicken sandwich is amazing too. Atmosphere is super inviting, servers are always so friendly, informative, great at recommendations, and if outdoor seating is your thing- they have picnic tables with seats that are made to swing!!!!!!!”

“The owner, the food, the service, everything was absolutely phenomenal. Ordered a crepe it was cooked perfectly and filled with the toppings i wanted. On top of that the owner and also cook overheard me wanting to try churros and gave me a sample of churros of my choice free of charge. He brought our food out to us on the porch, checked on us, and then offered us free drinks as well. The owner was more than accommodating and was absolutely so sweet. best service i’ve had in a while. absolutely would recommend.”

“My granddaughter and I recently dined at Chuck’s Fish to celebrate her graduation. The food, drinks and atmosphere were excellent. We had kimchi Brussels, uptown shrimp, and a delicious sushi roll. Then we really did it up big with the white chocolate bread pudding. The staff went above and beyond. Very friendly and attentive. Can’t say enough about how delicious the meal was. One of the owners came to our table and checked on us to make sure we were being taken care of, which we were. I would highly, highly recommend this place!!!”

“My fiancée and I ate here for the first time last night. The entire experience was utterly fantastic. We were there with a large social group who meet once a month at different restaurants in Mobile and Baldwin counties. There are always going to be challenges with a large group, and we have had some downright awful experiences; this was the exact opposite. The servers were super friendly and knowledgeable, and if they don’t know the answer, they will find someone who does. They are also very serious about allergy issues, with a dedicated fryer AND a dedicated boiler for gluten free noodles. I also got to speak briefly with the owner, Tyler (spoilers: he’s a nice guy and a great chef). He brought me a sample of a dish they are working on because I’d seen it on their FB page and asked him about it. We will 100% be back to eat here again, and we recommend everyone else come eat too.”

We almost didn't go back but I'm glad we did.
They fully redeemed themselves this time.
It started with the greeting as we walked in and only got better as things went along. Showtime was one of the best servers we've seen in a long time anywhere we've eaten and Morris is a grill operator extraordinaire. They got our order right despite the fact that we had difficult special requests and are extremely exacting.
We will definitely be returning and probably sooner than later.

The food however the lady that was the cook for the night she’s a little heavy-handed on the salt. I’m a bit disappointed because there’s so much salt i can’t enjoy my food. “It’s been years since I’ve been to the Boiling Pot and I’m so glad we decided to visit on Tuesday. The food was EXCELLENT. Everything we ordered we enjoyed. We had a steamed platter, popcorn shrimp platter, shrimp and catfish platter and the crawfish bread. Everything was perfect, even the sides. The crawfish bread was insanely good. The prices were also quite reasonable. The shrimp was big, even the popcorn shrimp. I will definitely be back.”

“Drive from Bay Springs MS to Mobile for supper last night. Found the restaurant through an internet sesrch, with no prior knowledge. Walked in, was seated immediately. The waitress was very pleasant and took our order and brought our drinks immediately. Bread and salad was out quickly, when that was finished, the main course was there. All very efficient and quick. The wife got a ribeye, medium well, it was grilled to perfection with a good smoky flavor I had fried shrimp, onion rings and sweet potato casserole. They came with cocktail, tartar and comeback sauces. Shrimp were fried to perfection and I think this may have been the best onion rings I’ve ever had. Generous portions. And when we got our bill, it did not break the bsnk. Very reasonable. Would not hesitate to go back or to recommend this place to anyone. Great experience.”

So last year, we decided to start celebrating our birthday together by going to lunch, whatever - just a Girls Birthday Out. This year we decided to go to Olive Garden. This place NEVER disappoints. This is probably my second favorite place to eat Italian food, the first being my house because yep, I am Italian. You can't fail with the soup, salad and bread sticks, but all of the sauces are really delicious. I've tried most of them (you know, just to see...) This visit we had the most delightful waitress - young, clean cut, articulate, she was a pleasure! And when we told her we were celebrating our birthdays, we received a free dessert! Very special. And affordable. Olive Garden is a traditional favorite (but you'll have to come for dinner at my house sometime. Just sayin...)”
