“First time at this location. The menu is similar to the larger Calera location. Food was good and consistent across both places. The only difference we felt was that the rice was not as good here. It was a bit on the plain side. However, the overall prices seemed less for a very similar experience. Would recommend.”

“This place has the best fried Gordita. Much better Gordita than Gordos and Mi Pueblo... The tacos are delicious as well. One of the best Chorizo tacos I've had. The only thing to make this place perfect would be to have fresh tortillas, but I know fresh tortillas can be difficult to make for such a small place. I can't wait to come eat here again!”

“Today, my family and I enjoyed a fabulous lunch at Slice. With us were my son’s classmates and teachers. Among the items were the very veggie pesto pizza, a meaty pizza of some sort, pepperoni pizza, cheese pizza, and cheese sticks. All of the food was top quality and delicious. To top this all off, our server Ashley was both professional and kind. We will recommend Slice to all our friends coming to Montevallo from now on! Thank you so much for your hospitality!”

“The first time I was a student was in 1996, and I’m finally going to graduate in 2025. The Anna Irving dining hall is much more light and airy now than it was then. It was all dark wood panel. I was amazed at the quality of food and I actually look forward to eating there again.”

“Small spot with some charm and a nice outdoor seating area. I love the decor and the atmosphere. It feels like a week kept family restaurant. Server was attentive and I ordered Queso Flamadeo and a taco lunch special. Food came out and looked good but "hot plate" was no understatement and I usually get wary. Tacos were pretty plain, the appetizer was good. Over all the tortillas with the exception of the chips could have been more fresh and same for the chopped veg and rice. Still ate my whole meal though and enjoyed the visit. At 4 stars I'd say worth a visit.”

“This KFC fell by the wayside a few years ago, but they've really stepped their game up. I hadn't been in a long, long time, but I decided to stop in and consider a family bucket for dinner... I'm glad I did. Not only did the employees answer my questions, but they were inquisitive to my needs, and attentive to them most importantly. When it took more time to cook my chicken fresh, because of my order, they walked it out to my car with a smile on their face.”
