Food was delicious my husband had the grouper, my mom had the Baja shrimp tacos, and I had the honey pecan shrimp. All of our sides were great! Everything was very tasty. “29 Feb 2024: Another amazing dinner with our friends at VY. I had the Pekin duck breast with Madeira brazed mushrooms, simply outstanding. Impeccable service as well and s strawberry cheesecake to die for!31 March 2022 update: We just came back again after a over a year avoiding restaurants bc of COVID - as great as ever! We sat on the patio, enjoyed live music, and had an amazing dinner!We started with fresh oysters and cocktails, proceeded to the catch of the day #alabamaseafood and enjoyed a bottle of Rosé, together with our two friends who also had an awesome experience with fish selections, redfish and grouper - super fresh and delicious!Kudos to Sara - she kept our group well-served with bevs and even got the bar to serve a nice louched absinthe on request. “Went here for our 25th anniversary tonight. Service was fantastic from the minute we walked in. Seated fast, given menus, and drink orders right away. Salads came quick and food just as we finished salads. Filet and snapper combo was very good and cooked perfectly. Wide said how good the grilled shrimp was. Nice romantic atmosphere made for a perfect anniversary dinner. “One of Alabama's best seafood spots near the capital!Customer service: we were aided by the youngest daughter with our order. She was well-spoken, knowledgeable about the menu by heart (even the ever-changing daily menu), and patient. Just this section alone received a 6/5. The rest of the family is very accommodating. The mother made sure that I had a comfortable amount of heat to my sauce. Food: we ordered the 1lb snow crab boil and the fish basket. Both were fresh and seasoned well. Not much to say here; it was perfect. You won't be disappointed. Atmosphere: you can tell they have repeat customers because some of the patrons came in as if they were at their relative's house. It was beautiful. Definitely a place I can support. This place looks like the typical seafood shop, so expect just that. No frills, and amazing food. Would I recommend? Already have.Will I be back? “This was our first time eating here. Upon pulling up, my husband was a little skeptical, but I told him I'd seen FB friends post about going here and it was fine. We proceeded to go in, we were right before dinner rush, so got seated immediately. Our waitress was super friendly. I can't remember her name, but she made drink suggestions and answered any questions we had about the menu. She even allowed us to move from the inside seating to outside, when a table became available (this was shortly after being seated and we only had our waters). We ordered our appetizers: gator tail, gumbo and crawfish cream sauce and she said she'd wait because we might be full. Well, we wanted the whole experience so when we got our appetizers we placed our entree order. She was right! We were already stuffed! When our food came, catfish platter and a 1/2 order of fried oysters, and chicken fingers, we sampled each item and the sides, but ultimately had to get a to go box. My husband was very impressed at the size of catfish and said they were so good. It was just an overall wonderful experience. The sun was setting and the scenery was beautiful. We even got to speak to a gentleman as we left, that we feel was the owner. He asked about our experience and told us that Sundays are when they have the live band. We will definitely be going back. It's not often you have such a pleasant experience and everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy their job.“
“This place is a small but good place to eat! It’s really easy to pass when driving by but definitely a place you should stop! My husband and i have been passing this place for years and decided to stop on a Friday night and eat here. It was pretty busy around 7pm. This place has a lot of regulars from what i can tell. The server was on her first day and did pretty good! I started out with a side salad. The onions, and tomatoes were so yummy and fresh. The tomatoes were sweet and the dressings were delicious! My husband got the seafood platter that had a little bit of everything. His favorite were the jumbo shrimp. I got the shrimp platter with fried okra and coleslaw. The Cole slaw was not my favorite but everything else was really good, including their sauces. My husband loves the cocktail sauce and i enjoyed the tartar sauce. For the amount of food and quality of food, it’s definitely worth it! I believe they had an outside deck for people to sit on and possibly live music. We both recommended this place to our family and friends and will be back soon with everyone!“

“Every time I move I try to find my go to Chinese food restaurant, well I found it for Montgomery. The food is good, nice since portions, all for a decent price. There is some seating available but I have never seen anyone stay to eat, rather everyone (like myself) just ordered to go or came in to pick up an order they already placed. Plenty of parking outside as it shares with other stores in the strip.“
“Saturday lunchtime wasn't even packed. First time going. Impressed! Great portions and lots of different food options like the stir fried gizzards. GET IT!!!! Any other day we would've ordered just bulgogi, but we just loved the gizzards so much more. It came with a salty sesame oil that was tasty. One dish plus the banchan sides are more than enough for 2 people. We took all the leftovers to go. Ask for the cold boricha (barley tea). ?“
“Bonefish was great! Our appetizers and entrees were brought out piping hot and our drinks were made perfectly. Our server was also very attentive and checked on us several times. I would also like to mention that the manager came over and expressed his concern and apologized for the dislike of the corn chowder. We truly appreciated it.“
“Got some food to go; the shrimp po'boy, crab cakes, and red beans and rice. All the food was excellent matching anything i have enjoyed in New Orleans itself. The service was quick and attentive. I walked in, made a large order and walked out with my to go order between 10 and 15 minutes. While i did not dine-in, the atmosphere was lively as i watched the auburn basketball game at the bar. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the cuisine. Excellent all around. Would definitely recommend it to others.“

“This place is better than 3 and a half stars. I got the chicken bulgotti and it was good. Everything was fresh and hot. It was my first time here. I came in around 5pm so I got the dinner pricing and it was a little pricey but it's a nice place and the service was good.“
“I was there for a workshop. I ordered my steak well done, but it was medium rare. YUCK.. The mash potatoes was good so was the broccoli. A lady at my table said NO to the salmon. My guest was not satisfied. Nice workshop, I will consider going back maybe to the bar..“
