“This place is a hidden booger in your nose. I really like this place because it has a East Coast style. The rice is magnificent and the customer service is excellent. If you try a dish, try the sweet-and-sour chicken with a sauce on the side and you can’t go wrong with the sesame !“
“Extremely nice vibe. The guy who serviced us was exceptionally nice and professional. My family of four dine in and the kids were extremely happy, especially when they brought dessert out on the house. The coffee cake was the bomb. I will definitely be back.“
“If the place doesn’t have a plastic container with a faded lid and a tiny little spoon, containing the house chili oil, or the squeeze bottle with the top cut off just enough to make you work for the chili garlic paste….. Do you even pho though?! “Side of Vietnamese fried pork egg rolls with a delightful fish and vinegar sauce)“
“We tried Ming’s Cuisine for the first time for lunch and were not disappointed. Service and food were excellent. Lunch comes with soup, egg roll and an entree. Hot and sour soup was delicious. Kung Pau chicken, Paper Steak and Sesame Chicken were all delicious. We will be back again!“
“Portion size alone, I would give five stars. I ordered the Chicken Fried Rice with an egg roll and the rice was plentiful. It was not a bad meal. However, it was something about the chicken that I didn't care for. I am not sure if it was the texture or what. I don't mind trying this restaurant again but maybe ordering the Shrimp Fried Rice if possible and an extra egg roll. The ladies at the counter were very welcoming and appear to really get to know their regular customers. I observed their interactions while waiting for my food and that was a good feeling.“
“Brandon our server was great! He was extremely knowledgeable and very nice. The margarita that was the bar special was one of the best margaritas I have ever had. Food was delicious. Definitely when we are back in town we will be back!!!“
“I stopped by to see how this place stood up to the other Chinese food places and it was great. It will be my new go to location in Trussville. I will stop by again to do a full review.Vegetarian options: Just about anything can be made into vegetarianDietary restrictions: Each order can be customized to you restrictions, for the most partParking: Large parking lot“
“This is one of my favorite places to eat. The food is always made fresh when you order and the service is top notch. It can get a little busy on the weekends during dinner hours but it is worth the wait. I you haven’t tried it, you need to put Shiki Sakura on you list.“
“I ordered through DD and ordered the beef Singapore noodles with no bean sprouts. They did as asked and they threw in chicken and shrimp in it ?. It tastes absolutely amazing and have been craving it for so long but other places I have tried it didn't taste as close to the 1 place I use to order from when I lived in Colorado and it is a huge portion. Thank you guys for making my night with this. Absolutely amazing.“
“I have several friends & family who will not go with me to Chop Suey Inn because of your poor health department rating. (a score of 50, I’ve been told)Please clean up your act. Every customer is a valuable asset you don’t want to lose.“
“I ordered take- out for the first time with this restaurant. It's clean. The customer service is good. The food was hit and fresh. I ordered the chicken and broccoli' with rice which was delicious. It also came with an egg roll. I will definitely return to try something different“
“Came here for lunch with my coworkers. The server was very nice and informed us that this restaurant was family owned and had been here since the late 90s. And the food and flavors certainly show this. I had the Mongolian beef with hot sour soup and crab ragoons which were amazing! Will be back “
“We tried their ramen here for lunch and both of our ramens were so good! Our waitress was attentive. The food came out quickly as well as the check at the end. The ramen was $15 per soup and it was well worth it. We might be back for dinner :“
“You will never taste Chinese food like this anywhere else. I travel for work and this is the best I've ever had. Come by, give them a try.Wheelchair accessibility: It's a common sidewalk in front of the businesses, so you may have to access a ramp left or right of the Palace.“
“China Bistro is my go to place for good Chinese food. The staff is always nice and accommodating. My food has always been ready when they say it will be ready!Dietary restrictions: They never have a problem modifying an entree to make it Vegan.“
“I recently went to Black Pearl in Birmingham and it was outstanding. The Mongolian Beef was flavorful, the dumplings were a delight, and the Egg Drop Soup was perfectly seasoned. What made the experience even more special was the excellent customer service and the owner, Michelle, who was incredibly welcoming. Highly recommend for a top-notch dining experience!“
“You would never know.. hole in the wall. Has store connected to restraunt. Absolutely love it. Service is great. Our server extremely kind. People think Chinese think buffet. But no, this you order from menu. Food was fresh. A must go to.Vegetarian options: I'm sure it's availableParking: Seems to be enough parking, decent size, not always packedKid-friendliness: Yes, family friendly for allWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“Always my go to for take out Chinese. Haven't been in SO long but ordered the summer roll and Szechuan combination. Always so god and reasonable prices! Ready in 15. Always on phone taking orders though but she made them wait and took my money so I could head home!“
“We ordered takeout from Mr. Chen’s in Homewood today - our first experience with this restaurant. Placed order by phone with ease and our food was ready and packed when we arrived. The Mongolian Beef and Triple Delight were both delicious. The staff was friendly and professional. The atmosphere of the dining area was inviting and we look forward to eating in next time - and having a look through the market! ??“
“The food is amazing everytime I come here. This last time I got it to go and had an hour and a half drive. By the time I got home, my food was still hot and delicious! Also, they have some of the best fried rice ive ever tasted.HIGHLY recommended!!“
“Lol, the very first review says "authentic" Chinese food....errr.....no. It's really not lol. You want authentic, try Mr.Chen's, some of their menu items are indeed authentic. Anyway, the food here is pretty standard for "Chinese" restaurants like these. Good sized portion with okay food. Good value for your money, but don't expect too much. I personally think the dishes with water chestnut can do without quite so much of it....and I like water chestnut! Not a fan of their egg rolls at all. I do like their soups that come with the lunch specials though. No specific recommendations....honestly all the dishes seem pretty similar when you get them!“
“Beautiful, clean, large restaurant. Food was absolutely outstanding. The best I’ve had. Cashew chicken was very tasty, egg drop soup was my favorite, egg roll could have subbed for a meal. Service was great! Price was very reasonable. We have learned a new Go-To restaurant when we go to Bham now. So glad we found it!“
“Enjoyed a quiet evening visiting a new Chinese Restaurant. Enjoyed a cup of hot and sour soup and the Mongolian combination Chef's special with white rice. Also tried and egg and spring roll. Will have to come back and try other dishes. Heard that they have a great lunch buffet. Worth checking out.Vegetarian options: Pick your veggies.“
“Very fresh tasting food. Sweet and sour shrimp and egg drop soup were delicious. Food was ready when stated. Friendly owner.Vegetarian options: Tofu is available.Parking: Shared parking with Metro Diner, and Bubble Tea Restaurant. Plenty of spaces.“
“My recent visit to Good Friends Chinese & Seafood was a delightful journey into Chinese cuisine. The restaurant's inviting atmosphere set the stage for a satisfying meal. I ordered fried rice, egg rolls, and shrimp, and each dish was a delight. The fried rice was flavorful and perfectly cooked, the egg rolls were crispy and packed with savory fillings, and the shrimp was a succulent and flavorful treat. Good Friends Chinese & Seafood's dedication to authentic Chinese flavors and high-quality ingredients was evident in every dish. The friendly service and the welcoming ambiance added to the overall enjoyable experience. Whether you're a fan of fried rice, egg rolls, shrimp, or simply seeking a taste of China, Good Friends is a must-visit. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to savor more of their delicious offerings!“
“The food is very good and they haven't raised their prices to a ridiculous amount. The Black Bean Chicken, Tofu w veggies and General Tso dishes are tasty. I always get my lunch orders with steamed rice. So good. Oh and the hot and sour soup is some of the best in the city.“
“Another great find in Hoover! The takeout was as savory and authentic as advertised. I'm looking forward to trying other items on the menu and hope to visit soon.Vegetarian options: Choose to your delight.Parking: You have free parking and lots of spaces to choose from.“
“This was the best experience I've ever had at a restaurant, the people there are so kind and sweet. We came in at near close and they still made us everything we asked for, the waiter was so nice to us. I had eggdrop soup and some wantons. That soup was easily the best meal I've ever had, I've never enjoyed something more. It was so warm and homey, and the wantons were so flakey and beautiful. I will admit that the lemonade was a little odd, but it can be overlooked due to how amazing everything was. I tasted my friends food as well, and it was all so delicious. I highly recommend the restaurant to anyone in the need for some good Chinese.“
“Really, really tasty food! I had the Manager's Special which was Sesame Chicken with Rice & Noodles. A bit on the sweet side for me but the chicken was so tender and flavorful, obviously just prepared fresh and delicious! The Noodles were absolutely perfect, just the perfect tenderness and also flavorful. The rice was fine but nothing to write home about. Overall a delicious meal!“
“The food is well let me say!YUM,YUMMY,WOWYUM??DEFENTILY WILL PUT THIS PLACE IN MY TOP 3 ALONG WITH THERE # ON THE FRIDGE. SO ITS EASIER TO ORDER QUICKLY. AND IM NOT LOOKING WHEN I WANT CHINESE!? If you're interested in a good place for Chinese food check out the Golden Dragon ? It's really yummy. ? InMy area ensley 5points shopping center.“
“I ordered steak & broccoli, combination yo mein, sesame chicken, egg foo young, and Large shrimp fried rice. First time asking for only meat on those dishes. The orders where right and all the food tasted very fresh. We were very satisfied! They included all the condiments we needed, unlike other establishments. Wait was reasonable 15-20 minutes.“
“This was my first time visiting this restaurant and it was so good! I ordered the Pepper Steak w/onions and an egg roll. Tasty, flavorful, filling, lots of meat, and the egg roll was very good also. I will definitely be visiting this place again!“
“This is a hole in the wall Chinese restaurant. And when I say hole, I do mean it. Trash in the parking lot, cars and in a seemingly sketchy side of town. The shopping area that it's in seems abandoned. But baby.... The food is absolutely delicious. I was told to get the pork egg rolls. I got 4 and made them a meal. There were people walking in and out with orders like it was a major restaurant in a mall. Locals say it's the best Chinese food in B-ham. Blink and you will miss it. This place is a gem.“
“Happy China has hands down the best Chinese in town. Unfortunately I don't go to this side of town often but when I do I stop in for a quick bite! Their egg drop and wonton soup is amazing! Warm, hearty and its own flavor compared to other Chinese establishments in the area. We also really love the owner and her kids - they are so sweet. You feel like family. I can't recommend Happy China enough!“
“Food was fresh and delicious. The lunch portion meals I ordered for my family were generous in size. I got like 7 meals for the lunch menu for like 65.00 and that's a decent price especially for the amount of food you get. Customer service was top notch. Will definitely be going back here sooner than later.Side note: the sauce they put on the egg foo young is not necessary please stop putting that sauce on it because it actually messes up the dish it's like a dark brown gravy that doesn't even taste good so why put it on there and on the Kung pao chicken there were way to many peanuts in it although the dish was good but there were a whole lot of peanuts Jesus Christ.Shrimp with lobster was freaking delicious ?Pepper steak and onions was deliciousSesame chicken was goodGeneral Tso's chicken was goodSweet and sour chicken was goodEgg drop soup was goodEgg rolls were delicious ?Parking: Parking in the rear of the restaurant“
“Yelp! I have become a regular at Magic Wok. Tonight we are a party of 3, Bae, baby Dee and me. We decided to eat in tonight. You really casual but your front counter staff is pleasant with smiles. Christmas is in the air, I love your tree. And, this Run, Run Rudolph got me head banging. Bae got General Tso delight, Baby Dee got garlic empire, hold the beef, I got the Schezwan chicken. Delicious! We tried the hot sour soup tonight, it's just okay. But, the rest of this stuff good. Y'all already know, I'll be back.“
“Awesome food for dinner. Steak, ribs with barbeque sauce that fall off the bone, fried shrimp,, catfish, crawfish. Salad bar, sushi bar with hibachi, and dessert bar with bananna and chocolate pudding, coffee cakes. A ice cream bar with three flavors. Everything you want in one place with plenty of seating in four different seating areas. Saturday and Sunday is all day dinner buffet.“
“I haven't rated Atmosphere since it is usually takeout only.I order very regularly and enjoy the freshness and large portions of the food. The cost is also very reasonable. This business is run by a very hard working family and I enjoy seeing them achieve the American dream.“
“NO WAY. NOT BELIEVING MY TONGUE. BEST MEI FUN IN BHAM HOOVER METRO AREA. I was just looking for a Chinese place closest to Costco and what a pleasant surprise!!!!!! The owners are so nice too! They know how to do American Chinese food right. It's a to-go place so I recommend taking out than dining in. Gonna try out other stuff whenever I stop by at Costco too!!!“
“You may have to wait on a few items to be remade but the crew communicate well and are respectful. Particularly, the light skinned black lady( I can’t remember her name). She was really nice to me as I waited for my food. Also, the place inside is clean and well taken care of. My food was also hot, fresh, and tasty.Parking: There’s always about 20 spots to park.“
“China Way is hands down our go-to Chinese place in Birmingham. It may not look like much, but this small place has the best food and always is delicious. It's exactly like the Chinese food you crave. Service is always fast and friendly, love the drive thru.“
“Absolutely love this place!!! especially the ppl who work there!! they are so welcoming. It may be a little pricey but the huge portions of food are great!! if you need more food than what they give u at dinner menu then it’s time to hit the ?️“
