“Wanted ice cream and this place looked good it was. Loved the nostalgia in the place says it was oldest soda shop in Alabama 150yrs. The lady's in shop were friendly and willing to tell you about the shops history nice little gem.”

“Tried Pappy’s for the first time a couple of weeks ago. The food was freshly made, great vale and tasted delicious. The hamburger looked great but my chicken fingers were so big, I would call them chicken hands! All was delicious! Excited to watch them grow in business! I saw a dessert that looked scrumptious. Check Pappy’s out, you will not be dissappointed!”

“We tried Gear Jammers simply because they had a 4.7 rating on Google. We were not disappointed. The ladies behind the counter were friendly and explained the food could be ordered off the menu or served from the buffet. I ordered a western omelet with a biscuit and gravy. They were delicious. Cooked just right and served hot. My wife and our daughter ordered sandwiches and they were pleased too.

“Without a doubt, this was the best beef soup that I have had since my Grandmother, RIP, last made this for me! Huge pieces of carrots, potatoes, and fall off the bone meat with a delicious consume that only gets better with the addition of fresh cilantro and diced onions. Warm tortillas accompany this hearth soup that will keep you full ALL day. Yummy! Can't wait to come back for more, especially with the cold weather on the horizon. 92 health rating and a real down home feel.

Without a doubt, this was the best beef broth I have had since the last time my grandmother, may she rest her soul, made it for me. “We have eaten there quite a few times. The food is hot, plentiful, and delicious! The salad bar is very good with all things salad including macaroni salad and potato salad! The country-fried steak is soooo good, crispy and plenty of gravy! The choice in sides - there sre many; check out the fries, many choices there, too! We like it! Give it a try!”

“Love the atmosphere of this place, you can tell a lot of attention to detail was put into Genos! The waiting staff is very attentive and polite. Service is SUPER fast! I do have a few criticisms on the food. #1 is inexcusable use of imitation bacon bits. Sooooo gross! I mean how much could they possibly save by using fakin bits instead of a sprinkle of real bacon bits?? Also, on a pizza this thin (which I love!) there is too much sauce. Garlic powder in a shaker would be a nice addition. Dessert was yummers!”

“I'm from out of town and I visit Scottsboro about once a year. Didn't get out of our church meeting till late. Been having a strong strong hankering for pizza. I went by Little Caesars and they had been closed since 9 pm. I went to Marco's Pizza the lights were on and people in the parking lot. I ask a man there if they were still open, it was 8 after 10. So he went in and came out with two pizzas. They were so very good, they staved off the hunger. So a very big SHOUT OUT. Thank you so much Berrien. You are the best.”

“My husband got me on this place, as I’ve worked at 3 restaurants (2 bbq) and we love it! But Michael served me, I could tell he was having a bad day, so me being me, tried to cheer him up, and let him know I understood. He was “tired”. It was like I made him even angrier. I HATE dissing anyone, it isn’t the restaurant, but Michael, get it together honey! I’ll pray for you and hope you have a better day tomorrow and better attitude daily. Or if you’re going through something bad, even though I said,” atleast you didn’t lose 3 family members since April, house burned, lost our 2 dogs… but 5 stars for Tate’s!!! ♥️ Hoping he has a better day tomorrow. ? “Pretty good food. I had the Dragon Roll and Steak Hibachi. My daughter had the California Roll and the kid's Steak and Noodles. Service was good, but slightly vacant. I had to wave them down a few times for a box and my check, but that's alright. They were super pleasant.We spent about $20 each, but we had a full meal AND a sushi roll each, so it made sense.The photo below is of the kid's Steak and Noodles.”

“First time at this restaurant and our family of 11 loved everything. We tried a variety of appetizers, soup, gumbo to a variety of meals. Not a disappointed person at the table. Fried fish, crab legs shrimp and grits were all amazing. Service was spectacular. Very friendly atmosphere with great southern hospitality. Don’t pass on this restaurant.”
