BEST baked beans I've ever had! We ordered a large and small BBQ sandwich with sides of beans. The small sandwich is full size and stuffed with pulled pork with the perfect amount of sauce. ALWAYS trust 'side of the road' BBQ. As soon as she opened the window we could smell how good it was going to be. We should've bought a sauce to go.
My first day in Scottsboro so I thought I'd try a barbecue joint. I had forgotten about the South's use of vinegar in their barbecue sauce and coleslaw. I'm not a fan of sour things and so it was not what I expected but it was decent.

I haven't made it to Tate's for several years, but it is the best BBQ out there. The meat has flavor and the Carolina, vinegar based sauce is my favorite. It was rarely a family event when we didn't make it to Tate's to pick up pulled pork. If you want a sweet sauce, this is not really your place.
