“We stopped by on a day trip, just myself and Hubby. It was around lunch time. The place was busy so we had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. The people who waited on us were very nice and attentive. The food choices are not that big. My BLT was good, but they had no fries to go with it. They only offered chips, and about 3 other side type items. The other food choices were other sandwiches. There were no burgers either. The ice cream choices were very plentiful. I got black walnut on a waffle cone and it was delicious. The visit was very pleasant. Would go again for ice cream, but not for lunch itself.”

“First time coming to Victory Grill because we heard they had awesome burgers and we definitely were NOT disappointed! Burgers are huge, all the topping you can imagine and delicious! We will definitely be back! Onion rings were also awesome ??? you can’t beat the view or the service!”

“I ordered the deconstructed kebabs and chicken quesadilla for carry out. Both taste fantastic. The meats are tender, veggies crispy. Stevie was my bartender and was absolutely the best. Great attitude, friendly and generous. Cherika is lovely as well and friendly. They make you feel like you are not in a chain restaurant, but more at home. So, good food, awesome service. Would give more than 5 if I could.”

“We love love love La Canana’s by Juan! The entire experience every single time we have come is top notch, from the service to the food to the live music! This is the only Mexican restaurant we will go to and Juan is simply the best and nicest guy! Definitely a must try and repeat place to eat!”

“Out for a drive and saw the sign and dropped in. Glad we did. The tenders were great! Meaty and moist. Had mango habanero sauce which was perfect! Wish we had taken pictures but we inhaled them! ? Service was excellent and atmosphere was relaxing with a good vibe. Will be back!”

“My wife ordered our dinner January 13 2024 20 pc bone in wings half bbq half without sauce with 2 baskets of fries a order of chicken tenders and the wings were made with hot sauce couldn't eat them bc stomach ulcers and the tenders were a little pink all we want is a remake of our order but nonetheless nobody can find when it was made since we paid with cash so we still have not gotten our order remade that's all we want we love scooters #1 food and services just some issues with our remake.”

“Pappy's place is the place to get your food fix! Stumbled upon this while in the area for work and it has become the defacto place we go when in the area! Plenty of options, and great service. Go to Pappy's, you can't go wrong!”

“The food was amazing. I got the buffalo chicken sub and my boyfriend got the Philly steak sub with fries and ranch. Everything was delicious! The lady up front taking orders was very nice and helpful. Will definitely go back again.”

“Went for lunch with friends, Love the relaxed atmosphere.. Because when we get together we Laugh out loud and usually stay couple hours. It's very clean, we were seated and food served promptly love the huge catfish fillet ❤️ Servers very nice and attentive but she could see we enjoyed catching up and didn't make us feel rushed to leave ! Our waitress said she enjoyed hearing our laughter ?”

“I enjoyed the authenticity of this restaurant. It was a little rough around the edges but very charming . If you want all you can eat chips and salsa, this isn't the place to go. But if you want to go where there's lots of locals and Spanish people eating, it's a fun experience. I got the tacos. They were very good. My husband got the quesadilla he said it was just all right . You'll need to take cash as the credit card machine was broken.”

“This place was a pleasant stop on our weekend road trip. I am a softie for the good old classic small town breakfast cafe and Gear Jammers fits the bill. Food is awesome - perfectly cooked like they give a darn, the inside is nothing fancy or pretentious, and the service is wonderful. Bring cash - they take cards but charge a fee. The prices are great, and you can tell that this is a favourite morning breakfast hangout. They're only open for Breakfast and lunch, but it's worth the stop. If you like real small town American (American Loving) good food cafes then this is worth the visit. In fact, I'll plan my next trip around breakfast just so I have a reason to stop in! You should too.”

“Decided to stop here for lunch while in Scottsboro, AL. Most food choices in town are down home cooking or take out. We were very surprised how incredible this place was. The service was fantastic - extremely friendly and very professional. The restaurant was very clean and well decorated. I ordered a Pina Colada which turned out to be one of the best I have ever had. Bonus that it was served in a frosty mug and only $7.25!!!! I ordered the street tacos Al pastor and they did not disappoint. And my husband ordered quesa birria. Wow, wow, wow!!!!! And each plate was right at $11. We are from Huntsville with an overwhelming amount of food options. We love Mexican and especially street tacos. This was better than any of the places we have been to in Huntsville, Madison, Athens, etc. we will make the drive to go back.”

“I had the pork plate with beans and cole slaw. There was plenty of good food at a good price and I really liked the thick sauce. Pay no attention to the nit picking ninnies elsewhere in the reviews. Were the beans canned? I don't know. The roll that came with the meal was not hand made on-site, so what. Go in and enjoy a good meal, at a good price, served by really good people. I double dog dare ya.”
