“We had brunch today at Mockingbird Kitchen. Everything was wonderful. There was no wait time and we arrived at 11:00. The place was full but we got right in. I had the eggs Benedict with a side of cheese grits. My boyfriend had the chicken and waffles with a side of cheese grits. We both agreed they were the best cheese grits we had ever eaten. Everything we ate was superb. The waiter was very attentive. We will definitely be back.”

“If you're looking for a good place to get a sweet treat and chat then this is a perfect choice! I went for the first time on Monday night and the atmosphere was a lot visually but it also made it feel like it was a space designed to have people in it. I got an Oreo and cream and no joke is was the best cookies and cream ice cream I've ever had. Like it was shockingly good... Service was really quick and the people were really nice even though we came in pretty late. They also had some imported snacks including some harder to find kitkat flavors which was a pleasant surprise. They have tons of options for board/trivia games. There were also lots of places to sit and some options for large groups. When we arrived there were two larger groups there playing board games games so it got pretty loud but it wasn't disruptive. My friend and I ended up staying until close (mostly by accident) and the employees were really nice about us needing to move on with our lives. Overall, I can see it being a lot if you're someone sensitive to lots of noise or visuals but it's a great option for people looking for a place that has good stuff to eat and good stuff to do”

“First of all I've given patronage to this establishment for over 30 years. I've given this place more business than they ever deserved. My last visit from Fayetteville Arkansas was definitely my last! My family was treated terribly. I'm a veteran so I thought maybe I'll go out veterans day and have a good meal. I never usually go out or participate and I didn't order anything off the free menu. I ordered the lobster, salmon and shrimp trio. All of the food was completely undercooked and the fish was nearly inevitable and had a strange flavor. I complained. I've had perfect salmon at this restaurant. So I decided to replace it with the perfectly grilled fish. Only problem is they just made another piece of the same disgusting fish and served me that. She never came back to see if I was happy or not.They literally just didn't care. The quality of the food was beyond sub par. I came home and the next morning I woke up violently ill. This was the only meal I had that day. My daughter also became very ill with the symptoms of food poisoning. Upon contacting the restaurant,the arrogant, POS, jerk that answered the phone as a "team manager" over the weekend Commenced to tell my wife she was a liar. That no way we got food poisoning but promised her a refund after pretending to look up our ticket and table. They never issued any refund so he lied about that too. I'm really at the point where you need to remove your head from your as*. Don't bother contacting me about this. Nothing you could do could possibly fix this. I wouldn't even take a lifetime of free food at your establishment. You just suck.”

“We were celebrating our anniversary and the drinks, food and service were top rate! We were shocked at the size of the Bisteca; we ended up taking half of it home and had a separate meal from it! The sea bass was melt in your mouth, just succulent. They brought us a complimentary dessert to honor the occasion.”

“What a surprise!!! Great food. Wonderful service!! Wife had the fish tacos and said it was the best she’s ever had. Background music is at just the right volume. I would definitely come back!! Parking is a challenge. If the lot behind the restaurant is full you’ll need to find the overflow parking. As you pass the place on the side you’ll see a bunch of signs that boldly say NO FEED AND FOLLY PARKING!! When you get to the bottom of the hill turn left and you’ll find the extra parking. They do need to do some lot repairs here. It’s in pretty bad shape.”

My husband and I ordered different meals and can honestly say that it was the BEST Mexican food we have eaten! Every thing tasted incredible! The portions were generous and we our chips and salsa were refilled without us having to ask. Our server, who’s name I don’t recall was the friendliest person I have ever met while traveling.”

My 4-year-old daughter and I stopped in for lunch, and a young woman named Nevaeh took our order. She seemed fairly new to the position and needed a little assistance from her coworkers here and there, but I have to tell you — she was professional, friendly, patient, and genuinely sweet the entire time.

It was the middle of the lunch rush, with a long line of people behind us, and I watched her continue working through everything without letting the pressure of the crowd change the way she treated people. She kept things moving quickly and efficiently, asked for help when she needed it, and was so sweet to my daughter while taking our order. ❤

Near the end of our meal, I happened to notice a man sitting with his coworkers who sincerely told Nevaeh that she was doing a great job. And honestly, I thought that was wonderful to hear — because she really was.

After we finished eating, I went up to her and asked how to spell and say her name because I wanted to complete the guest survey on my receipt. Her manager’s name was listed on the receipt, and I specifically wanted to make sure they knew that we received EXCELLENT service from Nevaeh today.

She said goodbye to us so warmly, and we told her we’d see her next time. And we absolutely will. 🥰

So, Nevaeh — if this somehow makes its way to you, I hope you know that you made our lunch a little sweeter today. Keep going. You did a great job. ❤

If I need a pick-me-up, I stop here for a whole milk lavender and vanilla bean matcha. It makes me happy as soon as I take a sip. I would love to branch out and try more of their experimental flavors like Mexican chile or the seasonal pumpkin butternut squash, a fun twist on an autumn classic. Interior is cute too, though, I find myself not wanting to hang too awful long as it is not my exact preference for a long lingering stay in a cafe. You will like it if you are into very pink (of course) elegant aesthetics. Your rich classy aunt designed this parlor. Fayetteville, you funky, funky town. Your coffee scene is damn hard to beat!”

“I love Penguin Ed's!!! For health reasons, I try to avoid ultra-processed foods, especially highly refined carbohydrates and artificial flavors, colors, etc. I'm always in search of restaurant options where I can get REAL FOOD -- including plenty of low-carbohydrate vegetables -- especially on days when cooking for myself isn't workable for one reason or another. My favorite selection is Penguin Ed's pulled pork and green beans. So flavorful! And -- best of all -- the fabulous flavor clearly results from skillful traditional cooking methods rather than the chemical flavor-enhancers that are in practically everything these days. The only way that their food could be any more nutritionally awesome would be if the vegetables were organic. (And if the meat were from grassfed animals, it would be even more incredibly fabulous.) But I won't quibble about a difference of degrees between near-perfection and perfection with this local labor-saving resource. When I want to include a higher carb selection, their pinto brown beans are wonderful. Traditional, flavorful, and naturally high-fiber which helps my blood sugar levels remain stable. Penguin Ed's has delicious food that makes avoiding unhealthy ingredients a delight rather than a chore. I'm so grateful that I found a local restaurant that is making real food in traditional ways. The traditional preparation methods (slow cooking meat in its own juices, simmering beans along with cuts of pork so they absorb meaty umame flavors) make their food delicious without the use of toxic, damaging chemicals -- and so much healthier than all the chemical-laden fast foods and convenience foods that are all around us in the SAD modern world. I love the bulk options such as a quart of beans and a 1/2 pound of pulled pork. That always makes the trip worthwhile. I appreciate that the bulk carry-out containers seal very well, so I haven't had any mishaps getting even a large order home. I also love that their online ordering platform is very easy to use. Also, the servers and counter personnel are always attentive to detail and very cordial, which is definitely the icing on the cake. I'm so grateful that I can get real food at Penguin Ed's -- and even a sugar-free refined-carbohydrate-free meal -- that is so exceptionally delicious. I should mention, also, that my husband heartily approves of their ribs and their baked beans. Many appealing menu options, for a variety of preferences!”

“Was looking for a fun local smoothie place to get something cool today, and we decided to try Smoothie Q’s. I love how passionate the employee was about the craft. They use all clean ingredients which I love about it. There were an infinite amount of combinations you could do in your smoothie. I got the machine with peanut butter and it was delicious. Will definitely be back to try some more combos. Atmosphere was also a vibe, it looked like they do live music inside sometimes.”

The Thai Orange Chicken (I got spice level 2) speaks for itself crispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced between sweet and heat. And of course, the Pad Thai was a classic done right fresh, simple, and made to perfection right on the spot. You can truly taste the care and freshness in every bite. “Such an amazing spot! From the moment we stepped in, we knew this would be a new go-to spot for us. It can be hard finding something near Dickson Street that doesn’t scream “college town”. This is a perfect spot for all to enjoy. The atmosphere has that low-lit jazz lounge vibe to it. Jonah & another woman served us(wish we got her name) & both were so sweet! We loved the vinyl records that were playing & the cocktails were top notch! Perfect spot for a date night or to bring a group of friends- I cant recommend this place enough!”

“Hey, for a food truck, nothing was less than 5 stars. Best sushi and best value in NWA. The food truck part doesn't detract from the experience, though. As you wait for your food, there are tables surrounded by lush greenery. The service was so courteous and welcoming, the prices the best for sushi in Fayetteville and the food? Better than most other full service sushi sit-downs in the area. The Rainbow Roll is the best I've ever had, and I've had a lot from so many different sushi chefs. 😀”
