First time visitors to George's Restaurant. My wife and I like to eat LOCAL, George's fit that requirement. We each ordered a sandwich and side. The Philly was excellent, Reuben was good too. Their fries are top-5 I've ever had! I ate most of the potato salad on her plate too (carb loading for a hike). Service was excellent, super friendly, and fast! Prices are comparable to most cafe-style diners. It's not fancy but it was great for a quick late lunch. Homemade pies? We don't normally get dessert but did split a piece. Glad we did! Simple. Unprecotious. Good food. Great service. 100% will return next time we're in Fort Smith. No photos - we ate it too quick!

Shyla took great care of us! Finally....old-fashioned service! We thought it was gone forever! There is hope! Go to George's....generous portions...(they literally give two plates because of the HUGE portions!)fair prices.... hot, fresh and delicious....we will be back....with friends and family.Vegetarian options: I had a salad and had to take over half of it home. Ordered the cheese burger w fries and the chili dog. The hand formed patties were tasty, but the burger was very small. It didn't stay very warm. Also, fries were cold, which makes them hard to eat. Maybe time of day and crowd had an effect on the fries being cold. You do get a large portion of fries. The chili dog was very good and fries were cold also. Good enough to give another try. Other items appear good on the menu as well.

Horibal service they refused to serve us and the food was nastie and there were bugs everywhere. Horibal atmosphere in that restaurant never coming back!
Had a late dinner about 7:25. They close at 8:00. Had customers at about 5 or 6 tables, so they were busy. Food was great. Enjoyed the service and atmosphere. Had the Catfish and Hamburger Steak. More French fries than 1 person could eat. Didn't care for the brand tarter sauce, so bring your own.

Ordered a burger and it had no lettuce, tomato, no pickles, had crumbled bacon which i didnt want. Wanted the sliced bacon. Too much mustard, waitress wasnt very friendly. Will not be back.

The place is still good. And I still think the burgers taste great ...It was better years ago2h Minn now it always makes my stomach hurt from all the grease. So last I ate there I had chk fried chkn and it literally was just like a frozen chicken patty. It wasn't hand fried batter or anything and it cost 15 bucks after tax.
