“Just stopped here on our way to Hot Springs. I’m usually not a bbq person but this food was SO good. Get the ribs and the potato salad! An easy place to miss, it’s the small green colored cabin right next to the gas station.
Owners are super friendly and gave some extra pieces of ribs for our puppy (she definitely approved too.) Bonus points for being a veteran owned business!!

“I've been to Acapulco many times ever since it opened up here in Pocahontas all those years ago. The waiters have always been friendly the food has always been good and the portion sizes are always generous.

I do have one critique based on my last visit though. I ordered some nachos and it had bacon in it. I noticed the flavor was a bit off for bacon and it was also a pretty big chunk. Looking at it closer I realized it was actually hog jowl.

I'm sure this is done to cut cost as bacon is a more expensive cut of meat than hog jowl. It also tastes close to bacon so it may fool some people.

However, this is wrong to fool your customers this way. If the menu says it has bacon on it, I expect bacon, not a cheaper, lower quality meat. That's like advertising steak but giving someone ground beef pressed into a steak shape.

At the absolute very LEAST I would have liked to have been told that the bacon was substituted with hog jowl when i ordered so that I could have made a different choice.

I still love Acapulco and I'll still go there, but needless to say, I won't be ordering anything that has bacon on their menu again.”

“So happy to have found this place! We are from TX passing through our way to PA! The food is absolutely amazing and so flavorful. The portions are huge and the prices are great! If we lived here this place would definitely be on our 'regulars' list for take out food. Come see them...you absolutely will not be disappointed! We got the hibachi chicken and hibachi vegetable plates and an order of spring roles.

Vegetarian options: Hibachi vegetables served with fried rice and we got an order of spring rolls that were also vegetarian.”

“This place is amazing if you love a good, down-home diner. Food is cooked-to-order and always comes out hot! The atmosphere is friendly and comfortable. Menu has lots of options for adults and kids. I highly recommend their breakfast ham and their pancakes. We have been several times with our two small children and have also taken family when they're in town visiting. If you want fancy, go to jonesboro - if you want a comfy country breakfast, go here!

“OK, the buffet was stocked with a decent selection of food. Limited selection for pescatarians like myself. But overall, good quality service. I had one issue. Their credit card device broke during checkout. Had to walk next door to the gas station and use the ATM, which had a 3 dollar service fee. So I ended up paying more for my food.”

“The new cantina chicken taco is delish . Got the bottom of the chip bag on the nachos or bag dropped. Chips still tasty though.

“The plain brownie is a must try. We have 3 more bags of goodies for our girls. As a small business owner it is always fun to hear about the ups and downs and the dreams from other small businesses. We live in Paragould, but we will definitely make the drive to try more items.”

“Nice little specialty shop located between Gypsy Girl and The Playhouse in Pocahontas. Great spices, tea, coffee, cheese and friendly owners. Pick up a wonderful sandwich on fresh bread and deli meat and cheese.”
