This hotel is in a great location in the SE valley and convenient to Phoenix Gateway airport. The decor is very unusual for a Doubletree and we thought had all the charm of a Days Inn, however the room size was good and the staff was very friendly. We chose this hotel because the pool looked so nice and large in the website photos. It is large, but it was not very clean nor was it heated (in April) so we couldn’t even use it. Great service at the front desk and lobby and pool looks nice. Very bare rooms, thin walls, tiny tv, and vinyl floors. But awesome water pressure. Good place if all you need is a bed to sleep in and bathroom to shower, but not a room that I would want to spend anytime in.

As a Hilton Lifetime Diamond member I was insulted with the horribly prepared dinner and breakfast I had ordered. The cook definitely needs more trading or termination. The food at the greasy Waffle House is much better.
