Thank you so much the food was amazing, this place will always be our annual visit when coming to AZ. My favorite and will never change is the Chilean seabass..hats of to the chef!! Tonight, my husband ordered a beer that they need to replace and they had issues getting the new keg open and they brought him a small sample of something similar, then when it took longer than expected they brought a slightly larger size, and when it became apparent they wouldn’t be able to get the beer he wanted open, he ordered a replacement of the sample in a larger size. The attentive service and kind gestures went a long way to making our evening more special because they could have just as easily said they were out and asked for his back up choice from the start. Well earned 5 stars. Our waitress, Ernestine, was a delight and the manager (?) or gentleman in the white collared shirt, Dom, was also very attentive.”

Pinball machines and other games. I wondered about the empty parking garage lot but there's more parking in the back. Staff was super nice and helpful. I got a great sour and when I told them it was the reason I came, they gave me a sample of another. They said they change the drinks out about every 2 weeks. Ordered a mushroom Swiss burger that I did not expect much more than average bar food out of but it was huge and delicious. One of the best I've had in a while. I may become a regular.”

So for our wedding my wife and I had a German themed wedding that could be described as an old world decorated ceremony and dinner with an Oktoberfest reception. Anyways, we needed food to be catered and there being only about two restaurants in the valley that could support this, we were able to come to an agreement with Chef Luis and his staff here at Haus Murphy's. This was a wedding planned for a max of 175 people to attend, there was not that many to attend but we ordered enough food for that amount of people. Our request was for giant pretzels and stuffed mushrooms for the cocktail hour with their mustard and cheese dips. Main course was Eisbein, The BIG Smoked Beefy Bratwurst, Kilometer, spätzle, potato pancakes, German potato salad, and sauerkraut. Chef Luis nailed it!!! The food was definitely one of THE MOST talked about hits at our wedding and I could not agree more! I love this place and it will always be high on my recommendations for friends and family who visit the valley and is a Downtown Glendale treasure.”

This is also one of the few places left that still have angel hair pasta and they use deliciously perfect Roma tomatoes. No sugar added tomato sauce AND everything made in-house? Wow...that's about all I can say about this wonderful gem in the desert. Everything had taste bud pleasing flavor, portion sizes are perfect and at a very decent price. Not to mention service was perfect, immediate and very accommodating. Whether this was a lucky night for us, or the usual for this wonderful place, they have new fans that will back for more. There is a ton of variety to the menu which requires more visits to experience. Don't pass this place up! The only suggestion is the artichoke leaves could be a little more tender using the baby leaves only, however, they are delicious and worth a try.”

Old post: As a revert it’s difficult to find halal spots alone but I was recommended this place by a few revert sisters. The establishment is well kept, lots of space to sit (inside and outside), was welcomed as soon as I entered and the staff are very kind/friendly mashallah.
The food was flavorful BUT sadly the burger patty was burnt and dry, fries were dry too. The burger had thick cuts of onion, it literally burned my nose when I bit into it 😭😂 I like onion but not when it burns my nose haha.
I went in an hour before closing, the chef could’ve honestly just been tired and I understand that. I’ll definitely visit again soon to give it another chance because I genuinely enjoyed the atmosphere and customer service.
Ps. My dad is a chef and when he saw the patty he told me to return the burger and get a new one 😂 but I was too tired and hungry after a long day at work. Alhamdulillah for the meal, it filled me up at the end of it all.”

“Update: today I went to this location again in the morning and the manager spoke with me and apologized for how we were treated and made sure my wife’s drink was made with one shot. It was nice to see accountability and hear an apology. Like I said I always love this location and I shouldn’t let a couple baristas ruin it.

But ever since they switched out the baristas the drinks are not consistent and the baristas give attitude if you tell them your drink is not made correctly. I always do pick up order and my wife can only have 1 shot of espresso due to a health condition (it’s her only caffeine for the day so it’s a treat for her). They constantly make it wrong and whenever I let them know it has two shots they say it only has one, when It clearly is dark and taste strong. They will make it again but after giving attitude. I’m sorry but paying basically $6 for coffee I would like to get what I pay for. Wish this location was better like it use to be. If you go in the afternoon usually you have a better chance of getting good drinks but never the morning.”
