Our server Megan (along with assistant and alternate server) was very attentive and when we walked to our table I noticed the red flower petals which was really lovely. Thank you so much the food was amazing, this place will always be our annual visit when coming to AZ. My favorite and will never change is the Chilean seabass..hats of to the chef!! “New to the area and looking for a place that served sours. This place is 10 minutes from my house. They had just opened so only a few other people. Kind of a small, tucked in place. Pinball machines and other games. I wondered about the empty parking garage lot but there's more parking in the back. Staff was super nice and helpful. I got a great sour and when I told them it was the reason I came, they gave me a sample of another. They said they change the drinks out about every 2 weeks. Ordered a mushroom Swiss burger that I did not expect much more than average bar food out of but it was huge and delicious. One of the best I've had in a while. I may become a regular.”

Wow...that's about all I can say about this wonderful gem in the desert. Everything had taste bud pleasing flavor, portion sizes are perfect and at a very decent price. Not to mention service was perfect, immediate and very accommodating. Whether this was a lucky night for us, or the usual for this wonderful place, they have new fans that will back for more. There is a ton of variety to the menu which requires more visits to experience. Don't pass this place up! The only suggestion is the artichoke leaves could be a little more tender using the baby leaves only, however, they are delicious and worth a try.”

“Came for lunch today, Thursday, September 25th, on a recommendation. This restaurant is more of a ‘To Go’ place, but they do have tables to sit and dine-in. When you’re ready to order, place your order at the counter and pay. They’ll bring your food to you packaged ‘To Go.’ I had their Moo Goo Gai Pan, combo meal (dinner portion) and a can of Coca Cola from their cooler. The combo comes with soup, egg roll, and crab puff (as they call it) for $13.25. The soda is $1. The food came, and I started with the crab puff. It was crispy and good. I wouldn’t call it a puff as it was a flat triangle shaped appetizer. The egg roll tasted peculiar. While the roll was nice and crispy, all I could taste was raw cabbage. No shrimp, no pork, or a protein in the filling. The sweet & sour sauce was better than what most other restaurants serve. The soup was an egg drop soup. Its broth was very clear which suggests it was a vegetable broth, and not chicken. It had some good flavor to the soup. The entree was a very good sized portion that filled the container with fried rice, and the Moo Goo Gai Pan. I liked the tender flanks of chicken, and the vegetables. There were mushrooms, water chestnuts, carrots, snap peas, onions, zucchini, and a flavorful gravy. Not impressed with the rice. It wasn’t bad. There were a few big pieces of egg; and had a peculiar taste to it as well. Plenty of leftovers to take home. The restaurant is fairly spacious and clean. The tables and chairs are on one side, and suited for parties of four. Arranging two or more tables together may accommodate larger parties. I did not use their restroom. There’s plenty of parking being located in a strip mall. The food is worth trying. Would I return? If I was in the area and wanted Chinese food… yes.”

I kind of wish the garlic Parmesan was a bit more saucy. The hot honey bbq (I can’t remember the exact flavor) was saucy and the best one we had I thought. Cheese curds and fries not that bad either. Pretty cool hang out spot with pool tables and darts.”

“I’ve been coming to this restaurant since I was a baby. Every year for every family members birthdays, and in between. It has changed a little bit over the years, but mostly it is the same. The Pad Thai noodles are to die for, chicken satay, peanut sauce and cucumber salad is AMAZING. Then to end with coconut ice cream.. wow. I pray this place never closes. One woman also remembers my son who’s now three and we’ve only been there like 4-5 times since he was born. They are great people.”

This time we came to celebrate our 23rd anniversary and we were greeted by our server, Kiah. Best server ever! She was so attentive, very friendly, very professional, and really added to our experience. We laughed together - but she was also respectful of our celebration, and gave my husband & I space to enjoy the food and each other. Next time we come, we will certainly ask to be seated in her area. At the end of our meal, DJ, the General Manager, came by our table to make sure that we enjoyed the food. We sure did - but we also raved about Kiah. DJ was wonderful!, very friendly and appreciative. Thank you Kiah and DJ - you made us feel like royalty. Highly recommend Olive Garden Glendale. “Top marks across the board! My family and I have been dining in here for years and have never had anything but good things to say about them. So for our wedding my wife and I had a German themed wedding that could be described as an old world decorated ceremony and dinner with an Oktoberfest reception. Anyways, we needed food to be catered and there being only about two restaurants in the valley that could support this, we were able to come to an agreement with Chef Luis and his staff here at Haus Murphy's. This was a wedding planned for a max of 175 people to attend, there was not that many to attend but we ordered enough food for that amount of people. Our request was for giant pretzels and stuffed mushrooms for the cocktail hour with their mustard and cheese dips. Main course was Eisbein, The BIG Smoked Beefy Bratwurst, Kilometer, spätzle, potato pancakes, German potato salad, and sauerkraut. Chef Luis nailed it!!! The food was definitely one of THE MOST talked about hits at our wedding and I could not agree more! I love this place and it will always be high on my recommendations for friends and family who visit the valley and is a Downtown Glendale treasure.”

The restaurant was quiet and the atmosphere was relaxed and that's where the good ended and the terrible began. I'm 6'2" tall and the plush seats were of such poor quality, that I literally sank into the cushion. So much so, that my "posterior" was below my kneecaps. Others in my party made the same complaints among ourselves. The food was delicious, but served luke warm at best. At $85.00 P/P, you'd think that a planned Thanksgiving dinner would be served hot from the kitchen to the table. At the end of the meal, we had coffee and dessert. Even the coffee was served luke warm and that's how the night ended. For a place with a supposed stellar reputation, it fell FLAT ON ITS FACE!! FYI... I notated my remarks on OpenTable (where I made the reservation) and to the American Express Platinum Concierge Department (who recommended the restaurant). Remember, first impressions are lasting impressions.”

“I absolutely love this place, this location in particular. I used to 'dine in' quite a bit, always a wonderful experience, and a near perfect meal. Unfortunately for the past few years I've primarily been ordering my meals to take home and I'm consistently disappointed. Apparently when you phone in an order to take home, the chefs are seemingly 'phoning it in' themselves.
My favorite menu item is the filet and shrimp teppanyaki, file cooked rare. When dining in the restaurant it's cooked to perfection. Take out? I'm lucky if it's somewhere between medium rare and medium well, frequently it's not even pink at all and rare should be red. Even the shrimp is typically overcooked. Tonight the shrimp was actually burnt. It was seriously hard and rubbery.
This particular location is easily 1 of my top 5 favorite restaurants in the Phoenix area- when I'm eating at one of those cooking tables, but it's quickly becoming my least favorite restaurant for pick up and take home. A slight difference in food quality is expected and understandable with 'to go' orders. That is not what's happening here though. This appears to be a blatant disregard for customers who aren't in the restaurant while eating their meals and theoretically won't complain when they are served something less than what was expected.
I honestly hope they see this review and make some much needed adjustments with regards to the care they choose to place in preparing food for faithful patrons ordering take home meals.”

“We went after the CK memorial, so you can imagine the crowds of people. The hostess (I wish I got her name) she was smiling the whole time and really welcoming. She is so pleasant and managed the waitlist efficiently and precisely. We only waited 20 minutes for a table. Our server Cee (her name tag indicated that she is a team lead as well) was incredible. She got quadruple sat with tables and nailed her points of service. She took everyone’s drink orders, dropped off all the drinks, then took food orders, and consistently checked everyone in her section. She also had an amazing support staff that helped deliver food and drinks. In its entirety, the team shows that they work together to optimize a great experience for their customers. While most people focus on food criticism, I enjoy recognizing those who work hard. I hope management sees this and gives this team a much deserved recognition. GREAT JOB HNJ!!”

This time we came to celebrate our 23rd anniversary and we were greeted by our server, Kiah. Best server ever! She was so attentive, very friendly, very professional, and really added to our experience. We laughed together - but she was also respectful of our celebration, and gave my husband & I space to enjoy the food and each other. Next time we come, we will certainly ask to be seated in her area. At the end of our meal, DJ, the General Manager, came by our table to make sure that we enjoyed the food. We sure did - but we also raved about Kiah. DJ was wonderful!, very friendly and appreciative. Thank you Kiah and DJ - you made us feel like royalty. Highly recommend Olive Garden Glendale.
