What a great way to end dinner on a sweet note! This local ice cream shop has a variety of unique flavors with your standard ice cream options. Service was friendly the moment I walked in and were so nice to give samples as I couldn't decide what I wanted to get a scoop of. They had banana pudding during my visit so I had to get it and it was a good balance of sweet and creamy. Will come back to try other flavors next time I visit!
I rarely give 5 stars and I really wanted to but I'll have to wait for a follow-up experience to assure it is a consistent experience. That being said, I tasted a number of their samples and loved every single flavor. They had some really great twist to the common favorites and also some unique flavors. A flavor for pretty much anyone's pallet. I hate to admit it took me far too long to experience this place but I am glad I finally did. If you ask my friends, they all will agree I'm not a dessert guy. My own mother has disowned me and said I was switched at birth because I don't care about sweet things like she does. But hot durn, Sweet Republic tries to change my outlook on sweets every time I go there. Their basil sorbet (it comes in pints in the freezer, you gotta ask for it) is one of those incredible desserts that defies normalcy. Tart, sour, sweet, wonderful. They know what they are doing with their sorbet.
