“This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in Oro Valley. We always get the pollo chipotle and split it. Tons of food and Sooo tasty. We keep saying we are going to try something else but never do. Laura is our favorite waitress, excellent food and service!“

“The ambiance was super chill, a come as you are sort of vibe. We hung out for a few beers then ordered food and I think the server came to check on us once which I appreciated because we were just passing time and we told him that. The food was hot and delicious. The birria tacos were moist, flavorful, and they had a nice salsa bar. Not superb but good. We also ordered their baked potato and it wasn't as good as other places. The toppings could have been more generous as we were left with a plain potato 1/4 of the way down but maybe we should have added some more stuff from the salsa bar. Overall, I'd say a nice place to go hang out and have some good tacos.“

“Two things make Carlotas stand out in a sea of Mexican restaurants. First and foremost is Ricardo. Hands down one of the kindest and most capable waiters I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. I spent a few weeks in the area two years ago and would frequent Carlotas. Fast forward two years later, I walk in and sit down at the bar and Ricardo GREETS ME BY NAME! He’s just an absolute joy to chat with and I always make it a point to come see him and eat at Carlotas anytime I’m in the area. As for the food, it’s delicious. But it’s even better if you come during happy hour when you can eat like royalty on a working class wage. I recommend the quesadilla as it’s massive and served at half price during happy hour. Best deal around. Come and check them out!“

“This place is cute as heck and has seriously good food - fresh ingredients, well prepared. Chili is great, as are chicken tacos. LOVE the salsa! EXCELLENT service... prompt and friendly! Tonight, it got really busy really fast - and the two servers kept up with everything without a hitch. Live music was a lovely added touch. Their margaritas are sweeter than I like, so I may stick to Modelo or Palomas in the future. But we'll be back as regulars for sure.“

“The atmosphere was very cozy, our waitress did a great job, and the food was superb. I ordered a chicken burrito with guacamole, and it was so big, I had a 2nd meal with the other half. My sister and I both ate for $22 , including drinks and tip.“

“Highly recommend this place for the carne asada burritos and the rolled tacos. One of the best I've ever had. The guy at the counter is fast and helpful. Small seating inside but the patio is nice if you want to eat there. Very clean place.“

“I found this to be different and my shredded beef chimi was very good. Service was fast and the chimi was huge. I'm not used to not seeing beans and rice with a meal like this but that chimi more than made up for it. The place has a European feel and it does feel and taste a bit like Mexican food you would get in the UK but it's still very good and well worth my visit. They have German food which will be the objective of my next visit.Edit: the food is very rich. Very good with high quality ingredients and fills you up quick and you should get a box.“

“The beans are come of the best I’ve had. The taco was excellent and definitely home made in every way. The green enchilada sauce is so tasty and just the right spice. You can sample the enchilada sauces and salsa to find your fit. Great service and the chef came out to say hi. Delicious food.“
