“We were vacationing in Scottsdale and just happened upon this place on our last night in town. I rarely write reviews but just want to say that we are so sorry we didn’t find you at the beginning of our vacation. We had the very best waiter and the FOOD! “We have been meaning to try this place for decades but always forget about it. We finally made it in and are glad we did. The environment is super chill and very western. Definitely want to come back to see a band in this setting. The food was much better than I expected. Ribs were a huge hit, soft, and fell apart nicely. The chipotle sauce had a great flavor but wasn't spicy. Just wish it came with some sides like it is pictured online. The cheeseburger was just ok. Not a thin patty but not thick and meaty either. Unfortunately, they won't cook it below medium as I prefer, but they didn't overcook it as the middle was still pink. Again, there are no sides as everything is al a carte. Highly recommend their sweet potato fries. Service was polite, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. We enjoyed our our meal. They also have some fun and humorous Handlebar J branded shirts and merchandise.“

“It has been a few (7) years since I had Rudy's (ABQ). So, thought we'd try this local spot as we pretty much watched them build it. Went on Friday afternoon at 3 and was in/out in less than 15 minutes. Think half of that was taking in the sweet aroma of smoked meat. We picked up a lb. of smoked Turkey Breast, half of Chicken, and a pint of potato salad. Both the chicken and turkey were tender , juicy, and nicely smoked. The potato salad was quite good. (I like to add smoked Serrano chili powder to give it a kick) The location is good and provides easy access on/off the 101 and near shopping.“

“This location in Scottsdale is not bad. I wanted to give it a high score, but the food per price ratio is kind of off. Very small portions for a high price. Customer service was good and the atmosphere was good as well. Location appeared clean and organized. I do not mind paying more for food, but give me a better portion.“
“The place was getting slammed with customers today. The server (Billy, I think) did an amazing job working the front. He was still nice and friendly, smiling and upbeat under the pressure. Looked like everyone in the back was working hard. It took a little while to get the food, but considering the circumstances it's perfectly understandable. Food was hot and delicious when I got it. They may not see this review, but that's a team to be proud of.“

They can accommodate most requests as far as dietary preferences.Dietary restrictions: They have vegetarian and gluten free options. My husband can't do spicy foods and they were able to accommodate his needs.“
