First off, I’d like to say I’ve dined at Mastro’s probably 50+ times in my life. All time, it is one of my favorite steakhouses, that was through the 2010’s… that reputation has since faded. Mastro’s use to serve top shelf steaks, very well marbled and prime cuts cooked to oergection. I will say, as of today Mastro’s still cooks their steaks perfectly (for what they are given), but they are not serving top shelf cuts like they used to. They do not have a full body of flavor, are not marbled great, hence do not leave a tender and flavorful cut. Sides and appetizers are great, atmosphere is great, service is almost always great, and I’ll still be back because it’s down the street, easy, and a very solid restaurant. That said, they are charging $70-$100 for steaks that you can buy at the local Kroger or Costco for $15-$25 per cut. They are simply not top shelf prime cut steaks anymore…. Chewy with a lack of top shelf steak flavor, and I know I’m not alone. If I want a great steak, I’m either buying a prime cut at AJs and cooking it myself, or I’m going to Dominick’s or Steak 44. Would rather have eaten a cheeseburger at In N Out.Very disappointing to have this quality from what used to be one of the country’s premier steakhouses. Same thing happened to Ruth’s Chris - hopefully Mastro’s can turn it back around… because I’d love to enjoy the OG Mastro’s once again.

We have been here 3 times in the past 3 years. The first 2 years we had amazing steaks and were very impressed, but this year, both me and my dad had steaks that were not very good, and considering they were the dry aged ribeye and ribeye steaks, we were very disappointed, and it was very hard to cut and not very flavorful, but my brothers steak he claimed was very good. Overall this year was not amazing.

Food and service was great. The desserts are worth trying as an appetizer they are so good. Although the presentation of the shrimp cocktail was everything you'd expect from a place like this. Enjoy your time here.

Great service in a private room. Food average and uninspired. Somebody might reinvent the steakhouse but I suppose that’s the point. Same ole standards. Overcooked heavily salted veggies, watery thin mash potatoes and boring salads. Fish forgettable. Steaks require sauce. This was great in 1985

It’s not the same dining experience as it used to be. When restaurants go corporate, everything changes, and not in a good way. I doubt I will eat at one again. There are better options out there!

Every single employee interaction was a good experience. You assume going into a dinner at Mastro's it will be special, and those visit didn't disappoint. We went for “date night” and reserved a table in the bar. Its a great place to people watch and pretty lively (in a good way). Lindsey was our server and she was super engaging and attentive, but not intrusive. She really enhanced the experience. The martini's were as good as I've had anywhere and the food...amazing. Shrimp cocktail was a nice production (steaming dry ice) and the horseradish sauce was REALLY good (but sinus clearing). The bone in ribeyes were cooked perfectly (for our tastes) as medium and the side of truffle gnocchi and wild mushrooms were the perfect sides to accompany. Finishing with the butter cake was a great choice, but you won't eat it all. Its HUGE! Enjoy the people and enjoy the food here! We will be back!

Maybe an off night but the food wasn't great. My plate was hot as expected but the steak was barely warm. The Mac and cheese was amazing. They only gave us some of our leftovers and we didn't notice until we got home. Expected better for the price but again, could have been an off night, every restaurant has them.

A little noisy, some of the bread was a little stale and it seemed like it was just serve and be done. Always love Mastro's but don't feel like we dined, more like we ate there.

Mastro's has always been my favorite steakhouse but my man Tobias at this location made this easily my favorite. Very attentive and recommended some awesome selections. Can't thank him enough.

Went for Valentine's day. The staff went above and beyond to ensure every guest had the best experience possible. There was live music that almost seemed to be perfectly curated so that there were breaks between served courses. Our cocktails and appetizers arrived quickly, and there was a perfect break for conversation before our main course arrived. The roasted bone marrow was eye-watering delicious, and the jumbo lump crab cakes were larger than expected and were very lightly breaded with a perfect crisp. I am very particular about how my steak is prepared and it was beyond perfect. I tried my girlfriends lamb and it was the best I might ever have. The Gnocchi was savory and had perfect consistency. The lobster in the mac and cheese was so fresh, rich and abundant. I was hoping our first Valentines together would be memorable and Mastros delivered the best evening we could ever hope for.

We've been dining at Mastro's at least monthly for several years; we made our usual reservation and showed up today expecting the same level of service. The hostess told us she couldn't seat us in the banquet area and wanted us to sit at high top that barely fit 2 people, eventhough we were a party of 3. We ended up staying for dinner and watched as 3 of the banquet tables remained opened. I was truly disappointed and likely won't be dining there anytime soon. Mastro need to coach the hostess & female bartender (blonde) who were both quite rude in my opinion. Thankfully our waitress was great.

Steaks and other food was very good, not excellent. For the dollar, somewhat overpriced. It's a Landry's restaurant but be aware that you will not receive Landry points for dining there even though the waiter said we would. That was disappointing.

Love Mastros and have been going since they opened, not often but every couple months. The last couple visits have been a little disappointing. Service was stretched, overly noisy with less than great music, but most disappointing was the food was not great as it usually is. Had the twin lobster tails and they weren't good at all. Service was very friendly but not available all the time. Items were missing on the menu. Won't stop us from going next time but for over $650. For 4 people expected a little more.
