Our server, the blonde with tattoos, and the shift leader or manager on duty, who looks like Rosario Dawson, were so attentive and provided alternate options for our food. It’s very rare now a days to go out to eat and have up to par or above par service. We didn’t feel like an inconvenience and it was really nice to be out. “Always a fantastic restaurant! From their New Mexico restaurants, to this one in Scottsdale, I highly recommend anyone visit El Patron! The complimentary chips and salsa are to die for. Chips are salted perfectly, which usually makes or break something complimentary. I highly recommend their enchiladas. Especially the blue corn ones. Service was spectacular and we received an amazing welcome from the host.“
“I went with wife and friends. Had a great time, Fernando gave us excepcional service and drinks. Soft rancheras songs were playing in the background. We had delicious queso fundido twice and tlacoyos de huitlacoche, it was my first time and it did not disappoint. I had La tampiqueña, the quality of the food was superb but the quantity was a little bit lacking.The creme brulee was not too sweet, so it was perfect for me.Parking: There is plenty of parking.“

“Local place serving Southwestern food but specifically New Mexican style. This hot spot is always crowded. The brunch on the weekends is excellent with many choices. This time I had the Carne Asada Enchiladas. It’s a huge serving that also comes with two eggs, hash browns in 3 types, beans and a freshly made hot n fresh tortilla. Others had the breakfast burrito and the Jalapeño Huevos Rancheros. They also had a Peach Margarita as a drink special which is delicious! Seating is limited and the bar is always full. They call it Dick’s Hideaway for a reason. IYKYK!Parking: There are a limited number of spots in the front and along the side but more parking in the back of the building.“

We love that they offer free chips + salsa. The service was pretty slow--it took a while for a waiter to first check in on us--but things picked up to a decent place after that. I was impressed with the cocktails and, after trying my friends', decided to order one myself. We all got various margaritas--they're pretty fresh + well-balanced. I loved my BBQ tacos--I was craving bbq so they hit the spot. They were sweet with a good amount of meat and I'd definitely recommend the handmade corn tortillas. My friend got the carne bowl, and I thought the carne was pretty chewy--I was glad I hadn't gotten that. All in all, a roundup to 4 stars. Free chips and salsa, good vibes, and tasty food.“

“Back to Rokerij for the best mellow atmosphere in AZ. Make reservations for a table if your group is 3 or more.. but the bar seating is comfortable and cozy. Drinks, service and food is fantastic! We had the whole cellar to ourselves with an early dinner reservation at 3:30pm.. valet parking available but we got there early and were able to park on our own front and center.“
