“We loved our first meal here: lamb korma, chicken tikka masala, eggplant (Bagara baigan), dosa and garlic naan. Each dish was extremely flavorful. Spice level was as requested. Our only disappointment was the korma did not have many pieces of lamb, but it was still delicious and we will be back. I especially appreciate the inclusion of South Indian Dosa which is not on every Indian restaurant menu.“
“my favorite indian food spot, I can't find a better butter chicken or chicken tikka masala I swear. 10/10 with flavor and portion sizing. only thing I would ask is to add a dairy free option with coconut milk or something for those of us with dairy issues“
“From the quality of food to the amazing service from the staff, Saima's Grill is quite a treasure I dined in here in a party of 6, arrived around 1:00pm on a Saturday. We did not have to wait for a table, but the place quickly became packed! We ordered a variety of dishes, including their famous Chicken Biryani. We also had a variety of their drinks which were all delicious. Portion sizes were generous and prices were not too bad.“
“I brought my dad in for lunch while he is visiting Phoenix, and we thought everything was phenomenal. I had never been in before myself, and I think this may be the best food I have eaten in Phoenix, hands down. We ordered several vegetarian Afghani curries, and each one was full of layers of flavor. My dad says the cauliflower was the best cauliflower dish he has ever eaten. The restaurant was quiet during lunch, and the service was prompt and attentive. I can't wait to tell everyone I know in Phoenix to come here, and I will certainly be back!“
“The place has got some good Desi food. The naan was fresh, warm and made in the most perfect way.Samosas are good but the vegetarian samosas are the best.Mantoo dumplings and the lamb shank were pretty good as well. But the chicken karahi needs improvement.Overall a decent desi/afghan eatery with a nice and cozy dining area.Vegetarian options: A few vegetarian options are available“
“Great lunch I'm so glad I stumbled across Khyber Halal. This place is a local small Afghan restaurant with a good selection of dishes, and the portions are very generous. This was my first sampling of Afghan cuscine and everything was really very good. On this visit we shared the Chicken Kabob, Chicken Biryani, Uzbek Pulao and garlic naan. Everything was fresh, made to order, and so flavorful. The naan was fresh, warm, slightly crispy and made perfectly. The meat dishes had great flavor, the meat was moist/tender, and the plating was beautiful and the serving sizes is more than enough for two people. The staff felt like family. They were so friendly and kept checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed. A must visit place for delicious food“
“I am into places featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. I've been on a cross-country twice from California to Maine and back hitting places of interests and Triple D locations. The place is simple but the food is exotically delicious. There is some spicy heat but not overly hot. Pro-tip: have some Lassi which is a yogurt drink just in case. The special rice is worth the extra charge and don't forget to finish with some rice pudding to nicely round things out.“
“Went to Al Hamra today with a group of 8 and it was clean, spacious and had an amazing vibe. The food was to die for. We had the lamb dish, chicken Tikka masala, butter naan, ginger chicken and amazing samosas. The food was exquisite and the customer service was above and beyond. My favorite was their tea at the end of the night. It's a half milk and half tea combination and it was delicious. The owner made us feel so welcome and he was so hospitable. I will definitely be going back to support this business and highly recommend it.“
