“Super. Visiting from out of town. Old school NY or Chicago feel. Attentive wait staff, nicely timed. Had prosciutto w/ melon; the papparadelle special and the oricchelle elephante (sp). The latter veal dish was superb. Wish I could return tomorrow for breakfast and lunch and and and.zz“
“By far the most professional service you can find anywhere. Cat and Randy have built a staff that is second to none and a menu that will never leave you disappointed. Do yourself a favor and I promise you will find yourself a regular. If you really want the perfect experience, ask for Elyssa who may be the best service professional EVER.“
“The experience was great! Meat Lovers will enjoy this!! Vegetarians need to keep searching. We were/are looking for a chef that prepares the entire menu with the intention of serving a vegetarian. We enjoyed a 10 course menu (Requested a Vegetarian menu upon booking). While the food was great and the service was great, we could not help feeling like we were just an afterthought. Unfortunately, they served every meal and said "in lieu of meat, this dish blah blah blah". If I order a meal without meat, I don't feel the need to be told repeatedly about the meat (that would have been in the dish)! For me personally that is not a way to introduce a meal to a vegetarian. In the end, we felt they were too dependent on the animal products to showcase their dishes. The overall experience was fantastic. We appreciate the care taken. Just felt the need to share since this is an important and ever-growing requirement for many customers.“
“Tatum was our server & she was AMAZING!!!!!!!!! I have HARDLY ever had such great food and wonderful drinks. Wine, beer, panini , bruschetta….I could go on & on. Such a memorable experience with friends on vacation!!!! THIS WILL BE A REGULAR SPOT FOR US!!!!!! You gotta come!!!!“
“We went to Voila for the wine paired dinner. The three courses of food were all pretty good though the tuna in the first course was somewhat over cooked and dry. Service was efficient but a little more robotic than personal as they were serving a lot of diners at the same time.“
“Capital Grille is always a good call. Great food. Good service. Spouse loves the burrata and tomato and I enjoyed the caesar salad. We both ordered our standard filet and it was delicious. Super flavorful. Took a risk on an inexpensive wine and were surprised at how good it was. Will be back.“
“Cute, hidden gem of a coffee bar in a residential area literally a stone's throw away from the hustle and bustle of Old Town Scottsdale. I needed to get some work done and initially tried to go to Sips but they were closed today at 4pm! I fired up my Yelp app and checked Google also and this place seemed legit so I gave it a try. This is right off 69th St and tucked slightly into a residential area. I parked on the street and walked in. Once inside, it's a community oasis. Lots of people inside having coffee, beer, working. Barista was very nice and welcoming. I ordered a 12 oz iced latte with oat milk with some caramel. Total came to under $10 with tip. I sat outside and batista brought me my drink. Wifi available and lots of neighbors definitely come here. Dogs are also allowed and there were some really adorable ones here. I'd definitely come back to this spot as it is low key, friendly, chill and a great spot!“
“Such perfection a beautiful match of simplicity and real food. Far exceed our expectations. We will without a doubt look forward to another incredible meal, great wine, and awesome service!!! Cannot recommend this place enough. Great time Indeed!“
“Service was really good - very kind and prompt. They worked together well as a team and clearly enjoyed one another. Wood fired pizzas smelled amazing and tasted great. Splitting one of those with a salad and a glass of wine was perfect. The Caesar salad was ok, but I prefer a creamier dressing myself. Indoor and outdoor seating available as well as a "community table" which can seat about 12 or so and functions like the bar on a first come first serve basis. We'd come again!“
“We stopped in this afternoon. The wine was excellent. But the young lady working the bar made our visit memorable. She was so friendly and welcoming. She took the time to describe each vintage we sampled during our tasting, and found time to share a few stories. All this while the place was packed. She really took the time to make every customer welcome and give them an enjoyable experience. Look forward to going back.“
“Came here after a week of traveling in Scottsdale. This was by far the best experience my companions and I have had while dining out. The Penne Vodka Pasta was superb. Our server Richard, was very attentive and made our experience here amazing. The staff seemed to genuinely care about our experience and the food was amazing. If I could give this 10 stars I would!“
“First time at Wine Girl and will definitely seek them out again. Killer vibe, excellent personable service (Somer rocks!!!) and the wine was great. Our wine host, Somer, even took care of our kids by offering them some mocktails that they loved. Upbeat music playing and something about the smell they are pumping in…this place was a great stop before dinner. Check it out, excellent.“
“I worked with Jonathan arranging 28 bottles of wine as gifts for my law firm last minute. He was incredibly helpful, personable, and not to mention knowledgeable, and gave excellent recommendations. You can tell he has a passion for this business, and I will absolutely be reaching out again!“
“I have been to the Pony Express numerous times and the most recent ownership has by far made it one of the best little restaurants in the area. The food is great and service-to-match. Thanks so much for being the go-to restaurant in the area!“
“This place is amazing! Grabbed lunch with my friend and this place did not disappoint. Patio sitting is perfect, there are heaters if you are a chilly gal, intimate sitting, great music and amazing waiters! The bruschetta was 9/10 we got the CHOOSE 4, smoked salmon & pesto, Mexican street corn, sweet n spicy pepper jam & goat cheese (SURPRISINGLY DELICIOUS), and burrata bacon arugula & tomato. All were pretty good! I could eat MORE. Great place for big groups as well.“
“We were visiting Scottsdale and I wanted Italian food. I found Sophia's Kitchen on Google, it had good reviews so we gave it a try.White Russian - EXCELLENTGarlic Knots -EXCELLENTAlfredo- EXCELLENTPizza, pepperoni/sausage - EXCELLENTService - EXCELLENTAtmosphere - EXCELLENTWe HIGHLY recommend Sophia's Kitchen ?“
“Everything about this place is killer. As you’d expect, they have a great wine list. BUT don’t sleep on their food! Limited but very good menu. Owner and staff are all people I’d want to be friends with. Will keep coming back again and again.“
“This little resto is a gem that takes you away to the Old World of Europe. Olivier is a charming host who makes your dining experience extra special. you must have the tiramisu - its at least as good as my favorite I had many many years ago in Milan. and the Beef Burgundy was gorgeous. even the bread and olive oil before dinner was divine. lI imagine anything you have on the menu would be a memorable delight.“
“We made reservations for 2 at the Village Tavern in Scottsdale on Resy to take advantage of the Amex Resy credit.Cocktails - inventive and strong and $2/off martinis on Saturday night!Food - Maryland crabcake - very soft, not over battered, very tasty. Side salad a bit salty.Beet salad was very good. Fresh butter lettuce, crisp beet, goat cheese. I only wish we got more beets!Entrees: prime rib dinner (8/10 - had better but for $30ish bucks a great deal)Prime rib sandwich with sweet potato fries (prime rib/bun was good)Dessert was a stellar (very tart) key lime pie.Service was efficient and friendly. All in all, a great dinner at non-Scottsdale prices! Highly recommend and would come again.“
“The hope was that this would be the neighborhood spot..its surrounded by over priced pretentious places. It started well but ownership seems to have abandoned it. Some issues: 1) a pint, ON TAP, is 8,9,10,11 dollars! wth? Happy hour still brings the price down to outrageous. You can get the same beer much cheaper close by. 2) HH used to be until 8...reduced to 7. 3) needs repairs....especially the bathrooms 4) get some great staff but can't keep them Lets get back on track WP or sell?“
“The most authentic Italian food in Phoenix!Haven’t tasted this level of pasta in years! The restaurant is quite basic - and exemplifies the food as to fundamental beginnings - all natural and organic! The temperature which often is forgotten with food served cold - proves the professional approach of the chef working diligently in the back!!Kudos!!So very refreshing finding this gem in the desert!!“
“First time here and we were impressed with the food! Pizza was simple, but very tasty. Meatballs and sauce was delicious! Gelato was the best ever! Only negative, in our opinion, was the ambience; it was not too comfy…kinda cafeteria feel. Will definitely be back to try something else on the menu.“
“Our server PAIGE was amazing! We loved the wine and the place was SO CUTE! We cannot wait to return when Paige is working. Sat-Sun-Mon. She explained all the wine and told us about the charcuterie boards / which we will definitely get next visit! Recommend the Dry Rose and the Mistake wine!“
“Drinks: We did the white wine tasting flight and the first wine on the list was my favorite, she described it as a porch wine Service: Jenna was very knowledgeable, kind and helpful! She's very good at her job! Ambiance: cute spot with open concept and love music“
“I went there on a Saturday night and I thought it was so incredibly relaxing. We sat outside on the patio with the misters on. There was music inside but we chose to sit outside. At one point the staff opened the door so the music could be heard outside. I also learned that live music is available I believe they said Wednesday-Saturday. It's hard nowadays to find live music and there is nothing like live music. I ordered the chicken salad wrap with light dressing with a side salad. It tasted fresh and light for a hot summer night. We stayed until closing and I never felt rushed. The waitress was attentive but not intrusive. I wish I could remember her name as she deserves recognition. There many options for wine to select from. I will definitely be back. It is a hidden gem tucked away in a shopping center. You could miss it as it is in a large parking lot in the corner so take your time looking for it. Also there is a lot of parking which can be tricky to find parking at places in Scottsdale, especially if you are looking in old-town scottsdale. Not having to get aggravated looking for parking is a huge plus for me.“
“Finally got to try this place out. Made reservations although not necessarily a must on a this particular Thursday night. It was full but not a wait. Happy hour prices were really reasonable with several options. Had some shareables, a salad and bruschetta- all delicious. Server was excellent & made recommendations when asked. The indoor/outdoor vibe of the whole place was enjoyable on a late spring night!“
“Love this local Italian inspired coffee shop beskoke market and wine bar.Stopped in for some mountain views , cappachino and herbal tea . We also split a warmed up bluberry muffin that had a slight sweetened crunch on the outside and filled with warm abundant bluberries in the middle. Would come here just for their muffins. Delicious!!! We also met Hera the owner who has Brazillian roots and grew up in the Amalfi coast. Asked if she had something saw on IG on the menu and she told us all about her dinner specials. They sounded so appetizing we actually decided to return for dinner tonight. Hera opened less than a year ago and the coffee shop has a cool vibe with jazzy music and the mountains up the road so could not resist coming in. So lucky found this little gem in the Scottsdale area from Yelp .“
“Four of us ate here 2 days ago. We sat at the bar, and the bartender, Eli, was gracious, funny, and attentive. The food was wonderful. The lasagna was awesome. It had the right amount of meat and sause. Many places have started putting in more vegetables recently, and that's a shame. I had a fish dish, and it was excellent, too.“
“I have been a loyal customer for 30+ years. Food and service is always fabulous Last night on a Monday the kitchen was very very slow. It took 40 minutes to get our dinner after our appetizers. People who came in after us were fed before us . I would like to give them the benefit of the doubt that they might have been under staffed or overwhelmed but it did take a long time to get our entrees“
“The best kept secret in Scottsdale. Service 5 stars. The bartender Jessica did it all. Made drinks took orders and bussed tables. Happy hour $4 wells. We had 5 drinks, Buffalo chicken wings, meatballs and a buffalo chicken wrap for $56. This made my HAPPY.“
“Ciao Grazie is my go to when I want amazing, authentic Italian food! The ravioli is to die for! I swapped the sauce for Alfredo and had zero regrets! My daughter had spaghetti with meatballs, also a great choice! My son devoured the salmon...it looked so yummy! Dad had lasagna... I snagged a bite and it was the best lasagna I've ever tasted! Service is always great, and when the weather allows, the dog friendly patio is a must!“
“Stopped by for brunch after our original choice had too long of a wait. We were seated right away on the patio. Our food was very high quality and phenomenal! The food was flavored perfectly and not over done up like some other popular brunch joints. Glad to have decided to try this place. The breakfast sandwich was amazing!“
“The Tomohawk Ribeye we had may have been the best tasting steak I have ever eaten. I only eat ribeye and usually only get steak when we go out. It was AMAZING, perfect temp and seasoned. Our waitstaff was great, very attentive and nice. We will definitely eat there again!“
“We have visited here twice now, and the first experience was incredible. Stellar food, service, drinks loved it all, and have consistently told people how much we enjoyed it. Went our second time this evening for our second anniversary, and have to say was very disappointed overall. Started off well, we arrived a bit early for our reservation so we had a drink at the bar while we waited, and the bartender brought us glasses of prosecco for our anniversary which was a thoughtful touch. Once we were seated things went downhill. I had to ask twice for bread for our table which ended up coming the same time as my husband's meal. MY meal was twenty minutes AFTER his. (and I did check my clock on my phone to time it) He finally had to sit and eat without me so it wouldn't go cold. Waiter finally came by and said he inadvertently put mine in as a second course which honestly sounds like an excuse for he simply forgot. I ordered the veal chop special of the night which was $75. It was supposed to be cooked medium, but was much closer medium rare or almost rare, which I assume iscbecause they were rushing it after forgetting to put it in for twenty minutes. Also, I understand it's a fattier cut of meat; however, it seemed to have more than it's share of fat,and was disappointed in the dish itself. The waiter did offer us a free lemoncello they make in house (which we declined) but considering my meal was $75, it really isn't much of an apology offering. He did bring us a few biscotti cookies after and did apologize again, but the sincerity in the tone quite simply wasn't there; it felt artificial and by that point I was just ready to leave. Was our experience terrible? No, but it was certainly not up to the standards we expect from a higher end restaurant we are dropping a couple hundred dollars on between drinks and meals. I really hope perhaps it was simply an off night. Compliments to the bartenders they were very pleasant and the higher point of the evening. Our first experience was five stars, second was three, at best, so am being generous and splitting the difference at four stars. We couldn't wait to go back, but now we may stop and think before we do so again soon.“
“The pictures can tell you how fun and beautiful this place is in all levels….just perfect!! Vegetarian options: I’m sure you can find a dish or two!!Dietary restrictions: Pretty much any restaurant help you out with your concerns…?Parking: You are around restaurants and supermarket so if you are not worried about walking 2-3 minutes you definitely will be OK! ?Kid-friendliness: Lunch Time is better for kids or early dinner?“
“This is a classic "old school" Italian restaurant. Nothing pretentious about it. Tenured, attentive wait staff, excellent menu variety, and the food is excellent. Oh, and their wine list is both varied and reasonably priced. Very good bottles of wine to be had without dropping $100-200 per. Looking forward to my next visit!“
“I wish I could remember our waitress's name (she has to be the youngest person on the staff), but she was such a kind and understanding person!!! My wife asked if they had a vegetarian/vegan menu and without hesitation, she checked with the chef and BOTH happily gave her one! Awesome night and the service was attentive in a BUSYYY day! Thank you La Locanda and our waitress! We had our best V Day ever here and we'll never forget it :)“
“for the first time in a long time, I walked out of a restaurant completely satisfied with every aspect of my experience.., and that restaurant was yours. from your server's cheerful attitude, and all-around helpfulness, to the perfectly portioned amout of amazing food. the specialty drinks where delicious and very fairly priced. on a scale of one to ten, this restaurant is easily a ten. treat yourself to a slice of heaven.. thank you..“
“We ate here twice while staying at the hotel for the Phoenix open. Our server for lunch was Luke, he was wonderful and we had the best hummus appetizer I’ve ever tasted. Our server for breakfast was James who was also fantastic and the breakfast buffet is definitely one of the most foodie driven I’ve ever had. The omelet station, avocado toast, salmon toast, breakfast sandwich, donut wall, cinnamon buns, etc. were all fantastic. The chef has really created a wonderful farm to table menu. I highly recommend.“
“My husband and I celebrated our Anniversary there on 11/19. Best experience ever, the food was great, but the service was beyond amazing. Thank you all so very much for taking such great care of us. You made our Anniversary a memorable one! You have an AMAZING staff!!!!!“
“Their wines are amazing across the board and Joleen is an amazing Tasting room attendant. Her wine knowledge and conversation were both great. The kitchen makes the food from scratch and it shows. The flat bread, calamari, prime sandwich, churasco steak, and Asian slaw are my favorite.“
“One of our go to Italian restaurants. Food consistently fresh and tasty. Tried the sea bass special last night and it was very good. Great service and family owned care. Good portions and lots of good menu options. Highly recommend for special occasions or just a great meal and service.“
We had our best V Day ever here and we'll never forget it :)“
“I went with wife and friends. Had a great time, Fernando gave us excepcional service and drinks. Soft rancheras songs were playing in the background. We had delicious queso fundido twice and tlacoyos de huitlacoche, it was my first time and it did not disappoint. I had La tampiqueña, the quality of the food was superb but the quantity was a little bit lacking. The creme brulee was not too sweet, so it was perfect for me.Parking: There is plenty of parking.“
“5 stars through and through.Walked in to a couple of smiling hostess who immediately started to converse with me. I didn’t know how busy it was going to be so I made a reservation. However it just opened at 4pm so I sat at the bar to not take up a whole table just for me.I was greeted by Marcus the bartender and after looking at their menu I decided to get one of their happy hour cocktails. Didn’t disappoint. Some bread and spreads came out after that and I had some time to kill so I didn’t want to rush. I ordered my Caesar salad a short time after sitting and it came rather quickly. I ate every single bite of it. Full of lemon juice and zest. Then on to my entree. The 25 layer lasagna. It was accompanied by a little bit of chard broccolini, which added a nice depth of flavor, and contrast to the soft pillow like pasta.I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a classy yet casual Italian restaurant over in Scottsdale.“
“Jim was awesome! He was attentive, professional, funny and just an all around great server. The female manager was terrible from the first observation of her grabbing the lighter from the front desk and telling the hostess that the candles weren't lit as she rolled her eyes. During dinner I was privileged to hear her in the kitchen telling the employees that she wanted 5 trays of glasses at all times in a rude tone where patrons could hear. Still, our experience was great because of the front staff and Jim. During dessert it was the last straw. Four young women walked in and apparently this was the managers daughter and her daughter's friends. The manager came out and started spending time with the girls. This is not a Dennys and if I was a manger on the clock I would never have my young daughter and her friends come to Ruth Chris if I was on the clock. The ambience of the remainder of our stay was much louder with the managers daughter and friends in the main dining room. I asked the hostess who the manager was and she said “Betsy.” Word spread fast and Betsy came to our table to make sure all was ok with dinner. Dinner was great. Management was not!“
“Truly exceptional. They have nailed the upscale tasting menus. There are plenty of add ons, but zero pressure to upsell anything. Each course features a couple of different options, ensuring there's something you'd like to eat. Usually with these types of restaurants there are multiple selections you don't want. It's beautifully tucked away near Old Town. Will be back!“
