“My family and I love going to tanuki! The owner is the nicest person ever and always present when we go. She always gives the kids a little treat and makes our whole family feel so welcome. Being Japanese, it's hard to find comfort food for me in SV, so whenever I don't feel like cooking, my husband and I grab tempura soba and it fulfills the craving. The food is made with a lot more "love" than other places in town where you can get Japanese food and is so much more personal. We will continue being regulars.”

“So I’ll have to be honest. I left a post last month about my past experiences with Hana Tokyo. After the new ownership take over I was convinced that I would not be going back unless I had an invite from someone who was holding an event there and even then it would be less likely to happen. I’m not sure who I was chatting with, but I was open an honest. Then gave my word I would pray for the establishment. I saw that there was a new Chef that was hired in and some improvements had been made. So this past Sunday after church I was led to try them out. We were met at the front by kind and professional Hostesses and shown to our Grill seating. Donna I believe was our Servers name was amazing. She ensured we felt like we were customers not just another quick tip. The. Chef Honda showed up and wowed us with his culinary expertise. Everything was seasoned well and flavorful Just like it used to be when we first arrived. I would have to say we have put Hana Tokyo back in our Rotation of local spots to visit. My wife and I were really impressed. I will say I prefer the Yum Yum Sauce on the salad over the ginger. Other than that, I would put our last experience above Mr. An’s in Tucson. Prayer still changes things and I pray that Hana Tokyo continues to provide the same outstanding service and cuisine we experienced on this past Sunday. “went there the other day to have lunch and was told it would be 10 to 15 minutes. even though there were only about 10 customers in the entire restaraunt, we waited patiently. during the next 20 minutes we watched about half the customers finish their meals and leave. we could hear the staff in the kitchen laughing and socializing loudly. once someone finally did appear from the kitchen, I had to flag someone down to ask to be seated. I was greeted with indignant attitude saying they were still too busy to seat us despite maybe 5 customers eating and vastly empty tables. when I pointed out that they indeed weren't very busy, I was told I could feel free to eat somewhere else. so I did. what terrible customer service and rude staff. if I could give this location negative stars I would”

“This place is so neat with the cutest vibe! I went last week to try a strawberry chocolate protein shake & bought a strawberry slushie for my mother. Both of which you can choose your level of sweetness & they tasted delicious 😋 The owner is very kind & took the time to show me all the natural ingredients she uses for her menu items. I took my mother again yesterday. We were kindly greeted when we walked through the door. She tried the Butterfly Series Peach Pea Flower Tea, which she also loved the flavor of! The young gentleman behind the counter had given us outstanding customer service & made our morning! We thank you for being here 😊”

“The German Cafe was the BEST German food I've had. It was soooo good I wanted to order a second plate to go. I had the schnitzel with Brie and Cranberry chutney and my husband had the Cordon Bleu with mustard gravy (so good) Our waitress was wonderful and the atmosphere was perfect. We live 3 hours away but will stop here again, as it was sooo good!”

“One word… BIRRIA! Get anything on the menu and choose birria. We had nachos and Mexican pizza. And the next morning we used the leftovers with eggs. We just keep looking at each other and exclaiming how good it was. The place is casual and extremely clean. The service was personal and kind. You can tell they take pride in what they do. We had a nice chat with the owner. He was very gracious and kind. We were in town for the weekend and did the typical Google search for places to eat. The photos and comments convinced us to give it a try. SOOO glad we did. Search no further!!! Plan to eat between 11am and 6pm. It’s worth it. When in Sierra Vista, we will definitely be stopping there.”

“The manager Mindy Boettcher is such a lovely person. So friendly and cheerful every time I'm lucky enough to see her. Her attitude is often emulated by the other staff.

It means a lot to have someone fix my food who does so cheerfully and clearly enjoys her job.

“Typically a good place to hang out and drink. Plenty of different drinks on tap, and interesting furniture for lounging. The only bad part is some of the staff. There are a few that aren't very attentive or respectful. I've had several instances where I've stood at an empty bar for over 20 minutes before being helped. When getting a growler refilled, make sure to check that it's actually filled. I've had a few now where I've gotten home and it's three to four fingers short, which is quite a bit in those big bottles. Overall a good spot, just be mindful of who's working I suppose.”

“Not only does Crazy Bato have amazing and delicious sweet and savory snacks, but the staff is absolutely amazing! they really make you feel welcome and it's always fun for the kids to watch them make the world ice cream! Best of all, this is where I met the love of my life and it is also where he proposed to me a year later!”

“AMAZING FOOD 😋 Hands down would recommend to anyone who hasn't tried their food to go here! its a bit pricy so expect to pay a nice penny but it's well worth it for the amount of food you get. I have 1 recommendation, for door dash orders if we could have a option for rice and noodles or just noodles or rice. when I get food for work I rather pay extra to recieve extra glass noodles over the rice. both are very good but I really want more of the glass noodles! thats my favorite part of the dish!! if you guys could do that even for a extra charge that would be amazing! you give a option for extra meat at a upcharge but no noodles 😔 I make sure to get food from here twice a month. Thanks for always making great food I hope you guys stick around.”

“My son and I were looking forward to trying the NY style pizza, since I'm from the East coast. He is in law enforcement, so it was a while before we could get there with his schedule. Last Monday, after an appointment we had, we got there about ten minutes from closing time. Both of us said the same thing, the pizza was not good. It was far from NY style, and the price was not worth it. Not going back.”

This long-time local deli features a few booths to sit at or you can take it to go. Think cozy, quaint, old-school, hole-in-the-wall, neighborhood deli vibes.

The staff were experienced, friendly, and helpful.

We tried the Gyro and the Italian Grinder. I asked for no peppers and no mustard, and this was not an issue.

The gyro had premium thick flavorful meat (I assume lamb but didn't ask) with fresh toppings. The grinder was stacked with quality deli meat and bold cheese, the dressing was rich and zesty; in a good way.

We got a side of potato salad which was quite possibly the best potato salad I've had in Sierra Vista. My husband also enjoyed it but commented he would have liked a little more of a vinegar taste, I disagree but I also don't care for things that are too vinegary. The ingredients were tangibly fresh and had a wonderful depth of flavor.

It was a nice touch that they included some potato chips on the side of the grinder.

They have different size options for the subs and they have other meals options as well. They do have beverages but we didn't try any on this visit. Be sure to bring cash.

The food was messy and delicious and we will most certainly be back.”

“We visited Sierra Vista on our way from Las Cruces, NM to Prescott, AZ. We found the Horned Toad by accident. It was one of the best finds we've ever made. The bartender and clientele were lots of fun. Everyone was so nice. The beer and Brats, were excellent. We will definitely go back on our next trip.”

“They have wonderful music we loved Jonny lackey and the pocket aces who came tonight. Had some great country music and the atmosphere was lively with dancers and people singing. Bartenders were attentive and so were the bouncer who were here. We’re regulars but definitely enjoyed tonight. Hopefully they will invite this band back. Of all the bars we have around her Punchy’s definitely is one of the better ones. They also usually have cleaner bathrooms throughout the night than other bars which we appreciate.”

There must be, because I only gave it four stars, but that's because the diving pool was closed and there's no way to know that before driving the hour to go swim. Boy, my son was disappointed. We went down the two slides 500 times, though, so I guess it wasn't all bad. The pool is exceptionally clean and warm, and the waves are very timely; you are not waiting around for the wave pool to kick in. And not a single bee! My favorite part.”

“Came into Tropical this afternoon, and was treated with smiles and a bubbly atmosphere, ALL the staff had smiles on their faces. Store was very clean. Jai the manager on duty was very personable and was even helping her staff during a rush. My food was fresh and made in under three minutes. Jai amazing job tasted delicious. Jaret made me a smoothie that was well blended and full of flavor his coworker Heather did Amazing helping and the team work shined through the employees that were working. Great job, definitely a better experience than the last time I was there.”

“We’re (relatively) new to the area - we used to have a nice little diner near us where we used to live and miss it. Today we were happy to find CHFR - just like “back home”! “Sunna's Restaurant is a small, very clean Restaurant. Sunna is a very beautiful lady, that litterally runs the whole Restaurant by herself- she is Boss, Waitress, Cook and Dishwasher all in one. Don't come if you are in a rush, she does it ALL by herself. She is such a sweet woman, that made us feel like we had been going there for years, not like it was our first time there. The portions were generous and everything was very fresh and tasty. We will defenitely be back, my tween son and me had a good time and also a lovely chat with her.”
