Nooo! We loved(!) this place. Everything was so delicious. When our friends came in from out of town for a long weekend, we ate here twice. I hope they re-open and let us know where we can get the goods.

Unfortunately BP Street closed permanently on 12/282019. They will be missed.

The restaurant was closed on a Saturday evening. Strange.

This place served me the best nasi lemak I've had since Kuala Lumpur - maybe even ever. I'm not sure how they get their chicken so lightly battered, with the skin just a millimeter thick, crackly, and punch-you-in-the-face savory. It almost tasted like they brined it in fish sauce. And the meat itself was so juicy it sweated beads when the skin peeled off. Perfection. Plus, the coconut rice was fluffy and perfect and the sambal nice and fiery. My one complaint was not enough anchovies (they throw a few in the sambal, but don't have a pile next to the peanuts) - but my mouth was too full of perfect fried chicken to complain. Their char kuey teow was only average, but again, overshadowed by CHICKEN! As far as I'm concerned this place could have one thing on the menu and I'd make sure to eat there every time I was in AZ.

Authentic Malaysian food at very affordable prices! Dishes are made by Malaysian chefs with years of experience with hawker stalls.

This mom and pop Malaysian cafe is located on the corner of Broadway & McClintock. It is rather unassuming. Very clean inside and spacious. The worker bees were busy cleaning bean sprouts. I really wanted the Laksa, a coconut based curry spicy soup with shrimp, fried tofu, fish balls, bean sprouts, hard boiled egg and your choice of rice or egg noodles. I choose the thin rice noodles. It is a spicy soup. Hubby had the Firecracker Chicken; a spicy sweet & sour chicken with rice. We asked that both dishes be toned down figuring we can always spice it up but you cannot really take the heat down once it is spiced up. The dishes came quickly. Both were tasty and still fairly spicy but not so much they were inedible. The Laksa soup was creamy and fragrant. The sauce for the Dynamite Chicken was sweet, spicy and sour. Staff were very nice. Plenty of parking in this open lot. Prices are reasonable

Had a hankering for Asian food and came across this place that served Malaysian food! I'm guessing the BP stands for Batu Pahat, a town in Malaysia. First off, had to get something besides water, so got the following drinks. All were good, so you have to figure out what flavored drink tickles your fancy. *Tea Tarik - think milk tea *Pineapple drink - you guessed it, it has pineapple *Bandung - sweet rose water, coconut cream with red beans Now that we got something to wet our whistle, we ordered the BP platter to start. It had small portions of chicken wings, fried fish balls, chicken wrap, and spring rolls! I liked that that the sampler was exactly that, a sampler. That way, we didn't get too full before our entrees. Okay, now to the main meal, I got the Nasi Lemak, which is one of the Malaysian dishes I am familiar with. How can you go wrong with fried chicken and coconut flavored rice? Yum! I liked the light batter they used and the chicken was so juicy! Hubby got the ginger chicken. Got to taste it and that was pretty good, too! All in all, if you want good home cooked Malaysian food without breaking the bank, then definitely try this place!

My malaysian coworker took me here twice. I didn't like my dishes but my coworkers' dishes all looked very good. Guess I'll have to get better at ordering.

This place is a gem of Southeast Asian (Malaysian) Cuisine. I love the food here! Some of the dishes are reminiscence of food I could find back in my hometown in Indonesia. My favorite dish include the Curry Chicken Rice, Hainan Chicken Rice, Char Kway Teow, as well as their specials Bak Kut Teh (every Wednesday) and BBQ Pork (char siu) rice, accompanied with either the Tea Tarik or Bandung Drink. They all taste so good! For example, the char siu was served on a bed of cucumbers, with hainan rice + pickled veggies + soup on the side. The char siu was surprisingly very tender! I have brought many of my local friends over who have never eaten Malaysian cuisine before, and they all have enjoyed the dishes. Highly recommend!

This little cafe is the perfect spot for your first foray into Malaysian food. The owners and servers are unfailingly polite and we never felt rushed. The atmosphere is pretty bare bones, but the warmth of the people makes up for that. The food is like a blend of Chinese and Thai, but even hotter! I had the tofu vegetable dish, level 2, and it was tasty and not too spicy for this Thai-loving girl. I think the best part of the menu, though, is all the interesting drinks available. My friend ordered Thai tea and pronounced it very similar to what she drank in Malaysia. They also offer boba, but we didn't sample it on that visit. I'm looking forward to going back to taste other menu items - and just enjoying the pleasant people.

One of the my favorite eats in Arizona. If you like Malay food, definitely check out this spot. It's fun and tasty, plus a little bit different than what you might eat on the daily. I am totally a s***** for noodles. So I ordered the Mee Siam since I wasn't in a soupy mood. The meal portion is very generous (for me). Lots of chicken (lightly breaded). Some cucumber slices and a hardboiled egg. I've noticed that the chicken can be slightly dry at times, but still tastes fine to me. Just be warned that the noodles are of the thinner variety. So, if you like thick and filling noodles, this may not be the dish for you. The curry taste to me is quite slight, and not overpowering. Another dish that I like is the Nasi Lemak. For me, the coconut rice has a slight fragrance of coconut that isn't too much. The texture is generally good for rice, not too dry. But, the main attraction of this dish for me is the sambal. I love sambal. Anything that can add spice to my food is an A+ in my book. Hope you enjoy this restaurant!

Twenty years since my last Malaysian meal and this hit the spot. The Char Kway Teow was spicy and delicious and was a good value. Treat yourself to something delicious and expand your horizons. Very friendly staff as well. Looking forward to my next trip!
