“This was my first time eating here, so I wasn't sure what to expect. We were seating quickly, and the waitress took our drink order. There was a large selection of food, drinks, and appetizers. I ordered the bangers and mashed, my wife got their cornbeef with cabbage, and my daughter got a chicken sandwich. We also got the scottish eggs for the appetizer. The eggs were good. They were not greasy and tasted like what I expected. My order was good but not great. The mashed potatoes did not have any flavor, and the beans were kinda plain as well, but overall, they were not bad. A little salt and pepper helped. The cornbeef was tough, and the cabbage tasted like cabbage, absolutely no seasoning. The chicken sandwich was good, and so were the fries. I have onlyveaten British food once before in Vegas, and I don't remember if the food tasted the same or it was more flavorful. I would go back and give them another shot, and I would recommend them to other people. Maybe it was an off day for the cook or my tastebuds. Great little place though.“
“I have to say for a saloon, I like this place, the food isn't great, the service is good and I like this saloon ambience, FYI, they have a large patio room in the back, and you can smoke a cigar, that's about perfect. Great friendly people as well, still has that old time flavor...“
“One of the few pool halls in town for a real, serious game of pool. Whether all you want is a sloppy game of straight-8 on a tiny bar box, or you want a game of nine ball or one pocket with a real player, this is the place to go.They used to have carom tables as well, but not anymore. The demand for carom probably wasn't there, and carom tables are huge. Also, the pro shop here is small but well equipped.“
“My husband and I come here somewhat regularly as it's one of the few restaurants near downtown that makes absolutely delicious gluten free food. Their menu changes every so often so right now there aren't any gluten free entrees, but they have gluten free bread, sides, and appetizers. Plus on this particular day, 3-1-24 their soup of the day and chocolate torte was available for me to order! However, beyond their delicious offerings, I had to say the service was exemplary. Our waitress and I had a communication error about making my Cubano sandwich (so yummy!) gluten free and I noticed the bun right away. Not only did she whisk it away to be remade immediately, the manager compensated my sandwich and our waitress paid for my side. I was stunned that they would be so nice about it, but thinking back I shouldn't have been surprised. Everyone was so kind through (and before) this snafu, to the point that my waitress brought me a clean fork literally 30 seconds after I dropped mine on the floor. I'm so sad I didn't catch her name properly, but she was amazing. I don't hesitate to recommend this restaurant, and tonight's dinner highlighted one big reason why.“
“Love the cool dark/gothic vibe of this place. Caught a burlesque show here which was super fun - with some impressive talent on the stage! I visited during the afternoon and again the same night for the show. Both times it was a challenge to get bartenders attention and they weren't the friendliest. Maybe it's part of the schtick because of the name?? Overall: diverse crowd, plenty of standing room, reasonable drink prices, friendly door staff, unique entertainment (they also have live music that isn't the normal boring stuff), outdoor patio - would definitely visit again.“
“Good Oak Bar is located right next to the Rialto Theatre in Tucson, so when I came for a show I hit Good Oak both before and after the show. Service was amazing, whiskey and bourbon selections were amazing and the music was amazing. NIck and Rae were incredible servers that made perfect suggestions. I absolutely loved it here and hope to be back very soon!“
“Loved this spot while on vacation! The bartender made this drink for my partner from an old menu and it was perfect! The place is really cozy.Drink name is “Scotch Tales” for those wanting something peaty.Parking: Free parking with plenty of space.“
“Looks like a hole in the wall.... but this is a gem. One of Northwest Tucson's best kept secrets for great food. Used to go all the time for the Friday night Fish Fry, went there today for lunch and had the fish - YUM! Great service too!“
“We love this local spot. They offer at least 20 different beers on tap from local AZ breweries. There are also cases with shelves and shelves of cold ones to choose from. There's plenty of seating indoor and out. Almost every night there's a different food truck (check their socials for which food truck will be there) to try. There are board games on a shelf to choose from and play. Definitely a good start to a date night.“
