“I typically like to stop in for an early afternoon cookie and their selection consists of some very good cookies. My favourites include a malted chocolate chip cookie and a gluten free chocolate cookie. There are an other choices available and all are good. Their bread pudding is quite decadent and is also a good dessert item. The staff are friendly and there are tables available to those that wish to stay and relax while they enjoy their coffee and snack.“
“Great pizza. This is the place for awesome tasting pizza. Friendly staff. The wood fire cooking style is flavourtown.My wife and I wanted to try some local pizza shops. We tried two shops and this place is the best.Nice char on the crust, it’s evident that fresh ingredients are being used. We ordered the same pizza yesterday and today, Classic with no mushrooms. Great tasting pizza.We’re from out of province but come in the area a few times a year. This is our go to pizza shop, now. Staff were super friendly.“
“This is a prime Tim hortons location. Staff are quite friendly, fast, and consistent. The location tends to not be as busy as others in the area, at least outside of peak morning hours. The kicker is that they regularly stock donuts that are very seldom seen at other locations and are rock star products - especially the strawberry vanilla and sugar old fashion plain. I will continue coming here happily and suggest you do too.Cheers!“
“I’ve only tried a couple of things here, but they were quite good. the bakery is in a very out-of-the-way place with inadequate parking inside. That being said, I will go back and try more of their goodies to go. Staff was helpful and polite.“

“Stumbled upon Cakebread quite by accident yesterday on my way somewhere else. Just grabbed a good looking baguette and left. Was pleasantly impressed when I sat down to eat it a few hours later. Excellent taste, crumb, crust and size. I only wish I lived closer. Bread that good is very hard to find. All the best to you Cakebread.“
“I’ve bought their focaccia bread regularly since moving to the valley 9 years ago and their take & bake pizzas are always a 10/10 as well. But today (for the first time) we tried their cinnamon buns and despite me not being a lover of sweets I ended up convincing my kids to share half of theirs with me because they were TO DIE FOR!!! Not to mention, we were there on a year-end Scavenger hunt from our piano teacher and the customer service, kindness, and general friendly vibe was something you don’t often see. Thank so much to all of you amazing staff at Vassili’s! We will (of course) be back and felt fortunate to get to share your amazing gifts with our new-to-the-valley friends!“
“I’ve only been here for a coffee and a cinnamon bun, but they were both quite good. some of the better cinnamon buns in town. Service was very good. The place does lack some atmosphere, but it’s a nice quiet place to have a coffee and a bite to eat. Very limited seating area.“
“Went today for the first time since it changed ownership. I had always found it only mediocre before. Today was amazing. The server was amazing…polite, friendly, went above and beyond. Our perogies were delicious and it was the best cabbage roll I’ve ever had (apart from my own mother’s! lol and I’m very picky about cabbage rolls). It was my son’s 12th birthday and all he wanted was perogies and this did not disappoint! We will be back and spreading the word. Thank you so much ❤️“

“We had the chocolate yeast donut for the hot chocolate festival. What a wonderful, hearty, chocolatey pastry! I love good yeast donuts, and this is a winner. Not too sweet. Excellent glaze. The chocolate on top is super delish. Nice layer without overwhelming the donut flavor. Really happy with this place!“
“We came here from Qualicum but showed up just as they were closing up. HOWEVER, Isaac at the till said ‘no problem’, gave us what we wanted (as they have much remaining at the end of the day) and was so helpful to us. He even gave us extra, and he said we didn’t have to pay. What a day. Good job to ISAAC!!!! Give him a raise!!!“
“When I have visited Paris in the past, I used to love getting macarons from well-known shops, such as Ladurée and Pierre Hermé. But after savouring OMG Macarons, I had no interest in choosing from a pile of mass produced macarons. I happily came home to Comox and bought some delightful, hand crafted, unique OMG macarons. They are the best.“
