“Doppio is located in a very small strip mall amongst a mainly residential area next to a gas station. Super popular amongst locals so dine there early and reservations are a must as this place is small. Parking lot is fine if you arrive before 5:45pm on a sunday... after that the strip mall parking lot is full. Now for the food ... the bag of sliced focaccia, mushroom ravioli, chorizo penne and pizza was fantastic. The lasagna was inedible and seemed pre-made and very dry. Gnocchi's sauce was a bit bland. Main server was fantastic but the others were definitely lacking skill and attention (they constantly shorted up cutlery, take out boxes, etc.). Seems to be a neighbourhood gem but not really worthwhile to travel from Vancouver for.“

“First time eating at this restaurant and wow! I ordered their duck fettuccine, and chocolate peanut butter cheesecake both were a 10/10. I have tried a lot of pasta at many different restaurants (including upscale) and this place was significantly better. It reminded me of the pasta I ate when in Rome and Florence.I am a desert person and am very critical of desserts. The chocolate peanut butter cheese cake was airy and the best dessert I had in a long time. It was not dense as your typical cheese cake dessert. The pasta I ate was very well priced. The wine was well priced and dessert. The excellent quality and taste for the food for the price is unheard of these days. The customer service was amazing. I believe it was the owners. They were funny and kind and made the experience even more enjoyable.Overall, I had a great experience. This will be my go-to pasta place. Only “negative” is that this place is 30 minutes from my home. The food I ate was so delicious that I purchased take out for the same order (pasta and dessert) so that I could eat it the next day without driving back….I’ve never done that before.Edit: the takeout was not as good for some reason. I would recommend eating in.“
“This is the kind of place I am glad to support because they give you everything you want when going out to eat. Their pizza is delicious, they themselves are very friendly and great to talk to, and reasonable prices. My mother and I were very happy to find them after recently moving into Coquitlam, and it didn't disappoint. They also have a very charming little place so please go and give them a try.“

“It's a great Italian place that you should check out if you want to try out some authentic pasta and risotto dishes. My personal favourite is the linguine soul that comes piping hot and spicy. I also enjoy their seafood risotto that almost comes out like a Spanish paella. The calamari wasn't as good as their pasta dish but still quite tasty. The garlic bread is a nice little bonus but it's not as fresh as other places. The portions in general are decent and enough to fill you up.If you're in the area, definitely check them out!“

“Was told to try The Boot years ago, and I regret not going sooner! Cozy, casual atmosphere, solid Italian food and wine menu. Our server Manuela was warm and delightful, everyone was welcoming and upbeat. Loved the Seafood Cannelloni with tomato-cream sauce. My friend's Linguini with (fresh) Clams was excellent. Portions ample, we skipped starters and just had the bread. Prices fair. So happy to find an independent, traditional Italian spot in this area for everyday or a special occasion!Parking: Small lot behind restaurant, more parking on Ridgeway and side streets.“
