“What a cool and welcoming place. We just happened upon this great cafe on a daytrip to Courtenay. The owner Crystal was so fun and friendly. We had the espresso milkshake and Donkey Punch coffee - both fabulous! What a delightful surprise to stumble across Coffee Luv Bug ?“
“We may have waited 20 minutes to get a table but after the first bite -- i would have waited an hour. This is a very quaint restaurant, prices were very fair considering the quality and hard-work the staff put into it. Breakfast was served quickly warm and every fork full was savoured. Thank you hen and hog for a memorable breakfast experience. I wish we were locals because this would most definitely become a weekend routine.“
“The nicest kindest place with the tastiest coffee! We ordered two coffees and a sandwich but left without the sandwich. Totally on us, we were chatting and distracted. When we went back an hour later they replaced it no questions and were so kind about it! Incredible service!“
“They made my wedding cake for last weekend, and I have to say it was the most perfect and beautiful cake I could have ever hoped for. Out of the entire day and all the wonderful moments, seeing this work of beautiful floral art will be a lasting core memory for the rest of my life. And it was delicious too!Thank you to everyone there for making my wedding even more special with your amazing talent!“
“Your one stop shop for all your tea needs. Not only do they have the best quality teas, they also have delicious flavoured mixes that only use natural flavours. In my opinion this is the best tea shop in BC! (I once heard it recommended as the best tea shop ever in the airport in Vancouver.)“
“There is an area in the back that is very cozy and usually quiet, great for reading books or magazines. The food is short on variety but tasty. Note that there is more food list high up on the blackboard wall. The men's washroom could do with a good scrub on the floor, as shown in the photo.“
“I love Mudsharks so much. Their bowls and coffee are really good and I feel like they really have figured out how to run a good cafe here in the valley. The cafe is both a healthy social space for those meeting up with others for coffee or food, but they also have supported space for those of us who work from home. Sometimes it can be really isolating and hard to focus, and I get nervous trying new cafes because sometimes they don't allow laptops (even if it isn't busy). I appreciate Mudsharks for allowing space for us to work here–there are a lot of us who really appreciate it.“
“Went for our first visit on one of the busiest days of the week (Valentine's Day)Still the service was great and food smelled and looked delicious. Couldn't try it all, so we went back few days later for more. Will definitely be back.“
