“The Luxe is one of the only (if not the only) places to find authentic Cantonese style Chinese food. Prices are high but the food is absolutely worth it. Growing up with a Chinese mother I had the privilege to eat at some great Chinese restaurants in Richmond and Vancouver and the Luxe is the only place in the area that compares to those restaurants.“
“For what it is it’s exactly what you wantQuick , the cheapest/tastiestYou can pick out what you want and get it packed to go right away or order pickup/deliveryThe atmosphere I rate low only bc the inside seating area is loaded with an energy of you can eat but they also don’t really enjoy ppl being there ( tables/chairs suck/cramped space)I like the lads ( i assume the owners family) that are behind the front table sometimes - they seem to loath being there which is oddly entertaining ( usually playing videos games/sometimes will run the front)Like a lot of similar style restaurants they close early at times when it’s not busy - which I understand from their side- but when you're a big fat heifer like me - and you drive down in a rush like mad max - to make it on time and they closed down early , it feels like your dad ‘left for milk again’ and isn’t ever coming backI very much enjoy the food, and the lady that runs the place is very pleasant and is quite funny to chant/banter with - but for some reason I get the feeling she hates dealing with customers ( even though she never acts like it ) and it makes me very fond of her and the experiencePrice wise I’ve never had better Chinese food for such a cheap price ?“
“I was in with my grandson in the evening and the absolute kindest woman named Ivy accommodated us. I have never had such beautiful service, great dim sum that they made in the evening despite not usually having it. And she interacted with my grandson in such a beautiful way. “I recently visited BC had pleasure of visiting this place and was amazed to have dumplings. Never ever in my 12 years of living in Canada I have tasted authentic dumplings. This place will be in my list to go each time I visit BC.Authenticity at its best.“
