Katana Reviews
One of the very best meals I have ever had. Could not recommend more highly. Fresh veggies, prawns and scallops cooked perfectly, great steak and lobster tail!
Make a reservation, the portions are large. A little dated but classic experience.
This is the second time we have gone to Katana’s and I remember now why we had not gone for so many years.
While the ‘show’ is entertaining for the kids, it’s the same routine they’ve had for years and the food is not up to par with the prices they charge. It’s incredibly expensive for bitter sauces, and bland stir fry.
They really need to step it up if they are wanting to retain customers.

Katana is a renowned restaurant that specializes in steak and seafood. The filet and scallops have received mixed reviews; while some customers enjoy the flavors, others find the filet undercooked and the scallops chewy. The steak, though not exceptional, is considered satisfactory when compared to traditional steakhouses. The shrimp and scallops are consistently fresh and flavorful.
The restaurant offers an entertaining chef's performance, making it a fun experience for diners. The chefs prepare meals right in front of guests, creating a lively atmosphere with their cooking show. However, some customers have noted issues with service, including delays in seating and receiving meals in sections, which can be frustrating during group dining. The cleanliness of the bathrooms has also been questioned.
Despite these service-related concerns, the overall food quality, portion sizes, and atmosphere at Katana are regarded as good. The prices are on the higher end, with plates costing around $55.00. Customers appreciate the delicious food and the memorable dining experience, particularly for celebrations. The chef's performance and the authentic Japanese ambiance contribute to the restaurant's appeal, even if the venue itself may feel a bit run down.
