“Great, casual spot for an inexpensive dinner. Lots of choice and loved my Japanese Bento Box which they were happy to let me substitute rolls, etc... Loved it and would recommend to everyone visiting the area to try it at least once.”
“We just had the best burger experience here! The PB and J Burger was unreal. Paired with the Chocolate Milkshake, a side of Fries and Gravy will satisfy all cravings. Service was excellent, and the portions are generous. Not to mention the quality and taste of the food SENSATIONAL!”
“I lived in Phoenix for a while and got to know Mexican food. Been looking for it Canada for 30 years in vain until Aqui es Mexico! Absolutely delicious. Love the food truck in Davis Bay too! All that scrumptiousness and the view too. Coming up for food and music love that idea. My new favourite restaurant.”
“Amazing food and service ! Well worth the wait. Order and then enjoy a nice walk around the marsh, or to the wharf and back. Sometimes he's busy but it's the best burger shack around!”
“Celebrating 20th Anniversary with Greg Kusnir at Mama’s Kitchen. Outstanding dishes, they not only look fabulous, but taste as good as they look! Our dinner was anonymously taken care of by one of the other couples dining at a nearby table, the kindness and unbelievable generosity of our coasters has made us very grateful today for so many reasons.”
“I didn't get a chance to check out the restaurant but the villa's we stayed in were absolutely gorgeous. Very spacious and clean. The views were great, outside hot tub was nice in the morning. Only bad thing was actually getting to the place. Due to the heavy snow fall they were unable to have the roads plowed. Not good when but in a car that's 3 inches off the ground. But they were very apologetic and upgraded our villa.”
“**Update. We gave them another try and just ordered a few vegetarian pizzas. They were fantastic, loaded with toppings and mozzarella cheese (no cheddar). I'm glad they fixed the cheese issue, we will definitely order pizzas again. I've increased the rating to 4 stars for the pizza! **This is a difficult review to write. On one hand I want to support the local restaurants in Pender, but on the other hand I want to be honest and suggest improvements. We decided to give the golf club restaurant a try as we've largely forgotten it was even there. Someone published their menu on one of the Facebook groups, and they were promoting delivery, so we thought we'd give them a try on a lazy Saturday afternoon. So we called at 4pm on Saturday to place an order for dinner, but we were told there was no delivery until after 6pm, which was a little late for us. It also seemed kind of odd to promote delivery but not actually be able to deliver until a few hours before closing. Regardless, we wanted to give them a try so we placed the order for pick up instead. When I arrived for pick up, the young lady on cash was very nice and friendly. After waiting an extra fifteen minutes beyond what I was told on the phone, I got the pizza box and bag of food and brought it all home. We ordered a vegetarian pizza, fish and chips, and potato skins. It only took me 10 minutes to get the food home but everything was already cold when I opened the boxes. The pizza looked ok (although it seemed odd that they would use cheddar or marble cheese) but the potato skins were dry as though they had been under a heat lamp for an hour, the two pieces of fish were very small, thin, and oily (one piece was overcooked), and the bag of fries was full of oil and quite disgusting to look at (let alone eat). I'm fine with the price of the pizza for the size and amount of toppings, but the fish & chips for $24 - to get 2 tiny pieces and a small, greasy bag of (what appeared to be deep fried frozen shoestring fries) wasn't acceptable. Nor were the 5 pieces of dried out potato skins for $12. Again, for the price of the skins you definitely could have included at least 6 halves and added a little more cheese. If you want to see potato skins done properly, visit the Lighthouse Pub in Sechelt - they're a little more expensive at $18 but you receive a very large portion of skins completely overflowing with cheese. My wife rated the vegetarian pizza 5 out of 10, mostly due to the generous amount of toppings, but she didn't really care for the flavour due to the mixture of cheddar cheese. So to summarize, my suggestion would be to improve the size of the fish portions (or charge less), use fresh cut fries that aren't trapped in a greasy bag, add a few more potato skins with a little extra cheese so they aren't so dry, and try to improve the overall presentation of the food so it doesn't look like everything was jammed into a box or closed inside of a greasy bag. We gave your restaurant a try as a show of support, but it's highly unlikely we'll ever return to eat there again based upon this experience. We much preferred the Backeddy, Grasshopper, and Lighthouse Pub in Sechelt. The food and presentation was much better and the portions were larger. Thanks anyways :)”
“This pizza was so good! Lots of cheese and toppings. We had the Harbour special and I would highly recommend! There is very limited seating at the window. I would recommend picking up and taking to a nice park or home to eat. Make sure to grab napkins!”
“Had the Matcha Banana Spinach Coconut smoothie SO GOOD! So fresh. Went down the plaza for sushi then came back for an iced coffee holy lord it was incredible. If you like strong coffee, this is the best icedVegetarian options: Many vegan options”
“The breakfast was tasty as it was one of the twoRestaurants open on a Sunday afternoon in town. Kinda a greasy spoon diner type of breakfast and my kids cleaned off the plate!”
“If you are looking for a culinary delight this is the place to go. I was very apprehensive because of the tasting menu price, especially in light of the fact that I had no idea what I was going to get. Both my husband and I had one of the most fabulous food experiences of our lives. Everything was perfect. I have an allergy and they made my evening worry free. Food, ambience, service and wine were all exceptional! Yes it is expensive but you get what you pay for and the money spent was well worth every penny. We will go back. Thank you Jen for being wonderful.”
