“Have a spectacular time at Fairwinds 35th anniversary celebration. The events team did an amazing job relocating in a party for 100 people. I’m just a couple hours notice. It was supposed to be a barbeque on the lawn, turned into a fabulous event, even though it was raining in his room outside. The band was fun lots of oldies, and even though it’s not my style lots of people were on the dance floor having a great time! Can’t wait for 36 anniversary party!“

“Having had to go GF over 5 years ago, I never thought I’d ever be able to have fish and chips again. I nearly cried when I had the fish and chips at El Faro yesterday: they weren’t just good GF fish and chips, they were INCREDIBLE fish and chips FULL STOP!! The fish batter was light and crispy, and the chips weren’t greasy, everything was delicious. The woman taking our order was so kind and helpful, and we enjoyed our meal and the ambiance very much. Extra points because they support live music! We will definitely be back when we’re in the Parksville area.“

I like the ambience of being in the middle of a mall, yet still able to have a conversation with the person(s) I am sitting with and can hear everything they are saying. I highly recommend this establishment as a place to spend some well-deserved downtime.“
