“The server, Fernanda was amazing. The food was great and service was great. But most importantly, I am writing this review (my first time writing a review) because, I ordered steak and it was “too well done” for my liking but I didn’t want to complain. However, the manager was informed and he came over and personally spoke to me and assured me it’s ok to say it. He changed my steak, gave me a new great steak. On top of that, the drink was “on them”, the wings (which by the way was the best wings I’ve eaten in Canada) was “on them” and even the cheesecake was “on them”. This great act of kindness blew my mind, not because of what he (the manager) did but because he didn’t need to go that extra mile. It shows me they’re great humans with a big heart trying to make the world a better place. I’ll go there again and again and again. I recommend this place to everyone.“

“Had my birthday dinner here with a couple buddies. Food and service were both amazing. our server Julie (I'm sorry if I'm not remembering correctly) was amazing. She was pleasant and informative and took the time to explain the menu because it was my first time there, and best of all she was attentive. She would check in every so often and was just great over all. I got the 14oz NY strip medium rare and it was cooked to perfection. I dont see why anyone would go to the keg anymore with a place like this literally across the street. 10/10“

“It had such a high rating that I had to check it out.Food I would have given you a 4.5 out of 5, but you were better than a 4, so 5 it is. It was the small plates that did it for me. It was the illusion of more food than there was. On the whole the food was excellent, a good choice of potatoes very good flavor. I had the Haddock one of my favorite good flavourful fish. Coleslaw was brilliant. That was a bang on taste. I enjoyed it.Had a pint to go with it. But I wasn't here for the beverages.Service great, she didn't come over and bug me all the time which I prefer, the once check up was fine.Did I enjoy it? Yes, so much so, I got another to go, too. I wanted to see how they reheated. The next day, heated them up and once again great. Maybe a bit of grease proof paper in there to stop the grease coming through the paper.Will I return you bet I will? It was worth the drive across the city, plus next time, I liked the look of the pies. I'm not a mushy pea fan even though I'm British. “I really like the place and I have visited it on several occasions, especially the one located on Granville Island. I just want to say that I am one of those who tip, not what they suggest, but according to the service and not the amount, which is what I see. What happened over the weekend when visiting them? In this case, I think the waiter expected much more than what he gave him and his reaction was somewhat rude and he did not hide his anger. It is not an obligation to do so, but they should emphasize that his reactions are not so noticeable. In my opinion, it somewhat tarnishes the excellent service that characterizes them.“

“In short, it could be seen as a clean seafood Korean restaurant. The atmosphere is so clean and spicy that it makes you want to drink soju even during the day. It is not a residential area or a shopping mall, so it is quiet during the day but is expected to be very crowded in the evening. Since they are open until 11 o'clock, most sales seem to be made at night.“

“Went in for the "All you can eat" fish n chips. Was a good experience, each piece of fish was much bigger than I expected. Couldn't go past 3 pieces because it is deep fried and quite oily, I did feel that the oil could've probably been drained out better. But they did deliver as promised! My advice is, don't waste much of ur appetite on the fries as you don't have to finish the fries before ordering more fish.“

We both ordered the prix fixe menu and one 3 course wine pairing.If you have never been the Hart House is a lovely, quaint old heritage building (so there is the occasional ant visiting, and the A/C is open window(s) - keep that in mind on a hot non-breezy day).The service was attentive, friendly and excellent (other than a delay of several minutes before the arrival of the dessert wine caught up with the dessert).The meal began with a surprise: a delicious amuse bouche with duck and hummus in a pastry shell.We both had the Caesar salad (after all its the Ides of March LOL). Fresh, mild with caramelized bacon zing.The mains were the Short Rib and Steelhead. I couldn't have been happier with the Short Rib. It makes me want to come back and have it again tomorrow.The Steelhead was also delicious. However, the pickled turnip was inconsistent and clashed terribly with the wine, which otherwise paired beautifully with the Steelhead. So ...use it as a palate cleanser and alternate it and the wine with the main in-between. Worked out well.I had the pair-me-with-pear cocktail and it was a tickle for the tastebuds throughout the meal.We both had the maple creme brulee and it made Canada proud. Fantastic layers of hard vs silk, warm vs cold, sweet vs ...sweeter. Divine.I definitely recommend going during Bite of Burnaby! I would happily go again.Parking: Reasonable number of spots a short walk from the restaurant.“

The Naan tasted so soft yet chewy, and was really a good combination with the cottage cheese in the Paneer tikka masala. I got it in medium spicy this time and will go for less spicy next time. “The pizzas here are baked in a stone oven and they are DELICIOUS! I ordered slices in four different flavors including one with smoked salmon, one with tuna, and another with shrimps, and they were all superb! We also bought 2 pieces of delicious cake to go - black forest and a chocolate cake with delicious chocolate icing.It's nostalgic and unpretentious, serving comfort food with a smile. I went to the Vancouver location with my then boyfriend, now husband 37 years ago at 18 years old - our first date. I don't visit often. Maybe once a year. But every time I'm there I always think damn, I'm going to miss this place when it's gone. “We have had dim sum and regular dinners here a few times and now it’s almost the end of King Crab KC season BUT a few other restaurants we called first could not positively confirm the availability so we decided to come back to Lee Garden BBY who guaranteed they still had abundant supplies. So a day before we ordered over the phone the KC set dinner for 4 ( for the three of us)Although we have been here a few times, we didn’t know any of the staff but we were still greeted by a very welcoming manager Wallace, who showed us our crab and I took a photo to compare when it returned on dish (heard too many scams in some other restaurants which swap crabs)…. It was TGIF and there were groups of happy customers and almost every table was enjoying their KC dinners!!All the 5 dishes and the soup included in the set were very tasty and in big portion….in fact we took home the last two fish dishes and the fried rice….they lasted for another two meals….)Our favorite was the garlic KC, but the salt & pepper KC was also very yummy. All through the dinner, another manager Roy and his team continued to provide very friendly service.Our wonderful Friday evening concluded with the desserts provided and the overall bill included tips and everything (no alcohol) was a bit over $600. Seafood Pancake - this nailed it for the top crispy part of a seafood Pancake but the bottom of pancake was absent or missing. Maybe they were trying for a less heavy pancake but for the price I expected a bit more. Bolgolgi & Octopus Hot Pot - good size for sharing between 2 people and maybe a 3rd with a smaller appetite. Good portion of flavorful beef & octopus. Feel the place should be rated a bit higher than what it is currently.“

“Hubby and I came to Saint St Grill for my birthday dinner. It was our first time dining there. The service was fantastic. Our waiter was very attentive and observant. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the entire menu. The wine and the beer were served at a nice cold temperature.I started with the scallops. While they were a little more rare than I usually like, they were perfectly seasoned and the purees were tasty. The pea shoots were so fresh I felt like the had just been picked from the garden. The whole dish was well thought out and put together.Hubby had the filet mignon. Perfectly cooked, and he really enjoyed the parsnip puree. He's not really a fine dining guy, but he knows his beef and he was very happy with his meal.I had the duck. Again, perfectly cooked. It was juicy and tender. The purees were tasty, as were the potatoes. I found the braised cabbage just a little bit too sweet, but that is a personal preference.The ONLY complaint we have is how uncomfortable the chairs were. We will return, but we'd be happy to stay longer and have dessert if they get more comfortable chairs.Dietary restrictions: Message ahead, or call ahead. They are very responsive. I have a wheat allergy and they were more than happy to accommodate.Parking: Free street parking as well as a decent sized lot at the back of the restaurant with an entrance at the back.“
