“My husband took me here for our 17th year anniversary! We have 5 kids so it's hard to find time to go out but our time at the restaurant was perfect kid friendly but also romantic they had us away from the kids!Pinku was our waitress and she was perfect helped up with how to eat and what was good ! We tried the goat curry and I can honestly say I wasn't going to but she insisted how amazing it was and she was right she was very comfortable with they knowing the menu ! Definitely recommend to eat Here ! Romantic/ family / work atmosphere thank you very much pinku“
“Butter Chicken Is So Tasty. This is the most amazingly extravagant restaurant I have ever visited. Beautiful architecture and the unique domes outside bring the experience up to a whole new level. Absolutely best Indian food I have ever tasted in my life.“
“Heard great things about this Indian-East African fusion restaurant and was eager to try it - the experience didn't disappoint! There was plenty of space to walk-in and dine inside, and the staff prepared the food in a very timely and efficient manner. The beef kebabs were quite tasty and very crispy, seasoned well without being overpowering in terms of space. The Zanzibar kuku paka was delicious and highly recommended - it's a coconut-based curry dish with bone-in chicken and potatoes, served with fresh garlic naan and seasoned vegetables to garnish on the side. The portion size was massive and definitely hit the spot after a long day. Highly recommend visiting this spot for some very tasty and interesting Halal food!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options availableDietary restrictions: HalalParking: Street parkingKid-friendliness: Kid-friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Accessible“
“Visited the place for the first time. They were obviously pretty busy, staff were running around. The service could be better but the food was absolutely delicious. They were fast. They food was served hot and was well- presented. They also have some deals on at the moment, like buy two curries( or mains) and get the 3rd at 50% off!Vegetarian options: Being an Indian restaurant there are a lot of delicious vegetarian options to choose from!“
“WOW! - Really happy we found this place when we moved to Burnaby!!. We tried ordering Aloo Gobi on Door Dash from 3 other local restaurants and were disappointed until we ordered from Tasty Planet! Their Aloo Gobi is super yummy, tastes authentic, is perfectly spiced (**but they always follow order notes perfectly as we like it extra spicy**) , and they always fill the container FULL! I also appreciate that they listen when I ask for less oil/ghee - We found our new fav Indian restaurant!!!Vegetarian options: Aloo Gobi is fantastic!“
“This place is a hidden gem! We travel all the way from Vancouver to get our fix of Indian street food. The chola bhatura is amazing! Fluffy with just the right amount of chew. Their chaat is one of the best in town. Lots of crispy goodies with just the right amount of sweet chutney. I can rave about every dish on the menu. Highly recommend!“
“This restaurant is unprepossessing and located in an outdoor mall in the Newton area of Surrey. It is reasonably large with TV screens tuned to Indian channels. You don’t come here for the surroundings although they are reasonable enough. You go there for the food which is amongst the best North Indian available in an area awash with Indian restaurants and South Asian residents. Extremely popular with the locals who know their food, it has a wide ranging menu with very good vegetarian choices available. Definitely worth the 45 minute drive from Vancouver and my favorite Indian restaurant in B.C.“
“I,ll ate at like every Indian restaurant in Surrey. Lived here my whole life. From mirch Masala Jaipur Mahek Mughal York center tasty bistro down to Newton side. I just bought a place by Delta and first ordered a few appies from here. Great value. Food was so quality and just great. Ordered a proper dinner tonight chicken Tikka some Naan samosas. Chicken was wholesome and well cooked and bit of onion and lemon very good dish. This place is exceptional because they make the food with their heart and they charge very reasonable prices. Owners a nice guy very humble and kind. This is my new Indian place“
“A wonderful, family run Indian restaurant. Love the veggie thali. Friendly staff, great food and reasonable prices.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options on the menu, from samosas and pakoras to aloo gobi and chana masala. Delicious!“
“Thankyou for the exceptional customer service. We always get the food delivered home and on this occasion my friends came from Toronto to BC for the first time.Felt really goodAlso I would like to appreciate Soniya for her service. Will be visiting the restaurant soon“
“Looking for a new place to eat at, wanting to try a certain cuisine in Surrey, or just wanting a foodie’s take on a local restaurant? Take a bite at the Punjabi Chaap Corner Surrey. It was my farewell and we ordered food from this place. Super yummy food. Must try their amritsari chaap ??? also the Jeera Soda is so so amazing… Keep Serving Love! Thanks for an amazing food #Punjabichaapcornersurrey“
“A fantastic visit! What a fun experience. I love when restaurants maintain a steady standard across all areas- the food? Worth killing for. The staff? Polite, kind and patient. Sia was great and Guy Shokeen “manager” was so humble and natural. I could not ask for better. The experience? Perfect & super smooth in my opinion!Must go and try 10/10.“
“I am working my way through their menu on take out.. So far I have tried the butter chicken, curry chicken and chicken korma. All were excellent. Small order is huge, and with an order of plain rice is still under $18. Good for at least 3cmeals. I will update as I try new dishes.I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food at a great price.“
“Nothing short of greatness. My wife and I went to vadapav mirchi on a Wednesday afternoon when it was nice and quiet. We ordered a Misal pav and Vada pav, the Vada pav was amazing, the Vada reminded me of my home Vada (chembur, post office) although the sweet and green chutney was missing but the suka(dry red) chutney was able to compensate for them. The mirchi was amazing and we ended us asking for extras. The Misal was really authentic and it superseded my expectations.I will be visiting again and will try something new this time. The staff were very friendly and professional, we met Prashant and Harshala, both legends.Vegetarian options: Pure Veg restaurant.“
“My personal message to the branch manager: You have saved this branch sir! It's fully back to life now. The food taste and freshness is excellent as it should be for Saravana Bhavan standards! The service standards have improved significantly. Please keep it up ?? Thanks!“
“Tried Nila dosa place for the 1st time. Ordered Dosa combo, plain dosa, spring dosa, filter coffee, kesari and bread pakoda. Combo came with 1 idli and 1 vada. Idli was super soft & fresh - amazing idli.Everything was amazing EXCEPT bread pakoda. I could tell from 1st bite that it was not fresh and was double fried. When I ate 1st bite I felt a drank a cup of oil. Will not order bread pakoda again but will definitely return for dosa and idli. Highly recommend this place. Its simple with great service.“
“I’m gonna say that this place deserves 10 stars if it could. Went there last night for a birthday eve and the food was awesome, the host made sure that we get the table that we wanted. The place was busier than usual so service could have been a bit faster but that aside we got what we wanted and best part was that the food tasted so gooood. Leaving 5 stars here snd will definitely return for my special occasions!!“
“Exotic world of South Indian cuisine. Great place to eat in or take out. Great food, good service, and reasonably priced. Simple menu with great choices. Authentic flavor with an exceptional quality and quantity. Parking is limited but you could park next door.“
“I’ve been coming here for a while now. Every time my experience has been substantial, the coworkers are quick, polite and understanding with exactly what I want they’re experienced when it comes to me, asking them questions and the food is very delicious. “We ordered and picked up. The food only took 20 mins and was still good and hot when we hot home. We ordered lamb madras ( med hot) lamb korma and a vegetarian dish, plus poppadoms.Everything was absolutely delicious. But the lamb madras was the best I've ever had - and I've had a LOT of them in different places around the world!I've just had 'seconds' the following evening. It was still as good!!“
“I had an amazing experience at this place. The staff were super friendly especially Raman and Gagan went out of their way to carter us. Overall the food tastes amazing. We went during ramadan. Strongly recommend people to try it out. The owner was also very nice. There is an onsite prayer place to do your prayer after iftar.“
“I came here with two friends and my 3 month old daughter for a Valentine’s Day meal, I had the best chilli chicken I’ve ever tasted. I also had the medium goat lunch combo and fish pakora and it was delicious and fresh and the goat very tender. The staff is very friendly and accommodating with their service and hospitality and they also play good music even my baby enjoyed it. I will always return here and so will my friends.Kid-friendliness: They will be understanding of a baby’s needs and fussiness and it’s very family friendly“
“A gem in the heart of the city, Tandoori Town offers a sublime escape with their perfectly spiced, succulent tandoori delicacies. Service is impeccable, complementing the vibrant yet cozy ambiance. Every bite, from the smoky tandoori platter to the rich, creamy curries, is a testament to authentic flavors done right. An absolute must-visit for lovers of Indian cuisine!“
“Fantastic! Food was great, with generous portions of meat in the meat dishes. Our first time there. Friendly service, excellent food. Our server was very helpful with working around a dairy allergy, which is often an issue eating out. Recalibrated my idea of what Indian can be.“
“Surrey Express offers the best Indian food around. It is by far the most consistent restaurant I’ve ordered from. The menu is super diverse, and features delicious choices for all sorts of palates. The food is always super fresh, and the staff are very friendly as well. Chef Danny is truly incredible at what he does; he never ceases to amaze! Highly recommend!“
“LR Grill is a special discovery for me. I have tried out Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Malai Tikka, Karahi Chicken, Butter Chicken, and Chilli Chicken and would encourage you to try the tasty offerings as I browse and order from the rest of the menu. Tasty and filling on a budget as Karishma serves you wholeheartedly! Although the restaurant has seating for limited people but they have mighty hearts. I happen to appear here almost before closing time, however the owner insists I dine in and waits to close till I am done. Offerings are fresh as any.“
“As a massive Biryani lover, I found the chicken 65 Biryani to be okay at best. The saalan & raita were good. The Cauliflower varuval was very underwhelming. The Dosa was good, the red Chutney was great! The Sambar & white Chutney were “
“Love this place, went with my wife and son for dinner. The moment you enter you are welcome with a big smile, our server was friendly. Dint remember his name. He was good in suggesting the daily special. The non veg platter is so good! Been here few time. Last time we had veg platter which is also amazing. As per suggestion tried puran singh da tariwala murgh. But to be honest dint enjoy it much, felt it was heavy on gram masala. Even told the server he said it’s suppose to be that way. For me it’s kind no no.“
“They asked me to write a review for a discount on my meal but I didn't want to do so right then so I told them I'd write a review anyhow for no discount when I had the time. The food was solid and the decor surprisingly styley for a strip mall Indian restaurant in Surrey. No discount required for the 5 stars, but factor the fact that they do that on your assessment of their rating.“
“Really a cool and fun coffee shop with modern Indian fare, served in a quirky newspaper wraps! It does well to bring a modern indian cafe experience to Canada and off course the cafe in this case is the CHAI selection. Loved the environment and concept. Prices are reasonable and food is authentic. Would definitely recommend.Vegetarian options: Lots of optionsKid-friendliness: Yes“
“Recently visited here for the first time...firstly food was very tasty and all the items are at very reasonable price. Secondly, staff is very polite and attentive. Especially, Simranjeet served us with love and very smiley face. Must visit Akaash chaat house once.“
“What a great service by all staff member ! Excellent 10 out of 10 food was amazing fresh , hot and very delicious . Hardeep the event manager was so help full. Provided all food testing before serve on counter. Thank you kuljeet ji (the boss) so nice and kind person .“
“Best place where prices and quality dont hurt your wallets and stomach. They prepare vegetarian food. Prices are very reasonable. It was quick service. Amritsari kulche and chanas were very good and onion chutney works really well with kulchas. We also ordered the Gobhi paranthas. Good size and good filling of Gobhi. You have also try their various kind of sweets and badam milk as well. Ample free parking. Will definitely revisit this joint.“

“the best spot for dosa! Their dosas are simply out of this world – crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and bursting with flavor. Whether you prefer classic masala dosa or adventurous cheese dosa, they nail it every time. The variety on their menu is impressive, and each dosa is made with love and care. Trust me, once you've had dosa from Dosa Palace, you won't want it from anywhere else!“
“It was my first time there . The food was so tasty especially their ?burgers, which they prepare in front of you. So good and the staff were also friendly. It is pocket friendly restaurant. Thier owner is so good even take customers reviews about their service. A big yes ?“
“Great ambience, very tasty starters but the main course was not all that great for vegetarians. Service was good although the waitress was quite busy to attend quickly. Great place for drinks. As such no complaintsVegetarian options: Pudina panir Tikka, Veg biryani, masala paapad, mango lassi, Moscow mule, kadai panir, garlic naan, butter naan, tandoori rotiParking: Lot of free parking space available but not many were empty. Could be difficult to find one during peak hours.Kid-friendliness: Yes very friendly place for kids n the restaurant facilitates everything for kids“
“Tried Golden Samosa as my son wanted samosa for his birthday. The vegetable ones were amazing not greasy, filled with lots of potatoes and vegs, the butter chicken samosas were ok I probably wouldn’t order them again but the veggie ones were amazing!! Staff was friendly place was very busy on a Sunday. Sauce for the samosa was ok.“
“No wonder we had a waiting time of 30 mins (but they managed to provide a spot in 10 mins due to cancellation), the food tastes too good (except for soya chaap & chole) and quantity is super filling for 1 person. We ordered too many and had to pack but was worth it. Romali Roti & Chicken Korma was a superb combo!Definitely will be visiting another time to order different items. Mango Lassi was a perfect finishing touch! Soya chaap did not meet expectations but the attendant was kind enough to replace the order with a much better item!“
“Small but comfortable restaurant. The food was great and decently priced (the naan was soft but crispy on the bottom :)). Maybe because I was the only customer, but getting the attention of the waiter was a little difficult. Overall 4/5, would definitely come back again :)))))).“
“It's a good place for a quick take away and reasonable price. Mostly take the pizza cheese. It's convenient for our location and parking is freely available. Suggest to call and place the order prior for a quick turnaround.Parking: Parking is freely availableWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“Best Hyderabadi briyani place in whole BC I would say, taste wise no competitors yet, although many are trying to, still these people provide the best version of Hyderabadi briyani so far. Tried their Chicken and goat briyani both. This is a shared kitchen, so only available if you order, I would recommend trying out their family pack, which is best in Quantity and quality, also another thing to note, this is located in a industrial area surrounded by industries around, so finding them for first time will be a challenge but do call them and find them with their help, or check google map ofcourse.“
“Super nice homey place food is delicious. Would definitely recommend.Very welcoming place and small great atmosphere. Staff are very friendly.Come here try the food you want regret it :)Vegetarian options: All vegetarianWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair parking and place is on the ground floor“
“Delight Street Food Restaurant offers authentic, generous portions with flavorful tandoori veg momos and delicious sauce. The Amritsari khatte laddo was enjoyable, paired perfectly with a refreshing salad. The ambiance, highlighted by the music, added to the overall satisfying experience.“
“The Food is so delicious! Simran and Jasmin are very helpful and supportive. Its my first time to have Christmas Lunch that I want to get an opportunity to try and eat Indian Food. Thank you Simran and the rest of the staff of having you guys to celebrate Christmas Lunch with me!“
“We went as a large group and the waitress served us promptly and effectively. The portions were large, delicious and spicy. Everyone ordered something different and it was amazing. Definitely going back and introducing this great place to other friends. Prices are “
“So today I deleted my 5 star review. I still really like Kalash, but the last three times that I have trued to order samosas (which are on their menu), I have been told that they don’t have samosas today. Never an explanation such as “we are out of an ingredient and will have them tomorrow”, no l - no explanation at all. I live in Queensborough and want to patronize a local restaurant, but if I repeatedly can’t get items that are on the menu, I will have to go elsewhere. My family is disappointed. Hopefully I can delete this review soon, and replace it with a more happy one. If you don’t need samosas, their goat and fish curries are excellent, and we adore their naan breads. The lamb wrap is delicious, and their fish pakora is wonderful.“
“Amazing food and service by owner Narinder. Restaurant is clean and inviting. Don’t go there for atmosphere or decor rather go there for food and service provided by Narinder. Everything is fresh and made to order. Their rusmalai was so fresh that it melts in mouth. If in Surrey be sure to visit.“
“I have known Ian and Sophia for many years now and I can tell you that they’re not just friends but family now, I have taken many different friends to this restaurant and everyone has gone back because the food is delicious, I recommend the Dai Chin Chicken, chicken Masala rice, Spicy Green Beans, but the truth is all the dishes are excellent, Don’t believe me just try it yourself. The best INDIAN STYLE CHINESE CUISINE in town.“
“Amazing food. The owner is very friendly and engaged with guests. Regulars are usually treated very well. They will do a "Canadian Hot" or "Indian Hot" scale for spicy, but they really, really mean it if you go full "Indian Hot" - be prepared for true spice, and most will likely need to work their palette up to it over time. Some live performances typical in the (weekend?) evenings, but most of it is light music and unobtrusive to your meal. Good vegetarian options and impressive variety of Naan flavours.“
