And...The Junction Bar...I don’t want to say it was life-changing… but do yourself a favor and have one [and then get another two for the road]. If you’re in the area, don’t miss out on this gem. Great coffee, great treats, and an all-around fantastic vibe. Highly recommend!”

“My family had lunch here today. Greeter at the door was very friendly and helped us right away. We chose to sit outside and watch the airplanes. Waitress was very friendly and professional. “It's a lovely family restaurant near Coombs. If you are heading to Port Alberni, this little restaurant is a good stop for lunch.
They offer lunch special too. We have early dinner. So we are the only customers on weekday.
The food is good and not oily. I like the veggie spring roll, satay, green curry and pineapple fried rice but the coconut is too sweet.

“4 of us went there last week (2 from Comox and 2 from Nanaimo) and the food was incredible. Everyone really enjoyed their meal. We just wish we weren’t so rushed, it really took away from our night out. We were told we only had 1.5 hrs which was no problem. She reminded us continuously throughout the meal and after an hr asked us if we were ready for our bill. We told her we were thinking about having a dessert (which was pre-made) and she sighed and looked at her watch! She brought the dessert and we scarfed it so fast and just got out of there. We tipped well because who knows if the pressure was coming from the kitchen, but we left with 20 mins to spare and a whole lot of empty tables there. Recommend if you aren’t meeting others and are in a hurry.”

“The new owners have kept all the old favourites that the customers like, as well as adding new items such as chocolate covered carrot cake bites that were a big hit at Christmas, and delicious fruit pies and cakes that are as light as a feather with European style icing that melts in your mouth. Also, every week new Indian items are added, such as special soups with a splash of Curry that are exposing us to exciting new flavours. Extra tables have been added inside and out, because more and more customers want to sit, enjoying a coffee and a pastry, or a delicious egg bite or a bowl of soup of the day. But it’s the friendly atmosphere, the great customer service and the happy, positive vibes that make this spot a magnet for customers, old and new.
