But today was extra special, we ordered take out and then took our two little ones for a stroll on the beach and spent more time playing than anticipated. The owner was kind enough to meet us on our way back a few steps away from the store to give us our food as he wanted us to enjoy it hot! Such a kind gesture. You have loyal customers in us Sir!“
“Never a disappointment with the " All you can eat" fish and chips. The fish has the best batter kind of a tempura light batter. The tartar sauce is awesome. Ant unlike mini fish and chip places, the french fries are actually very good. To be able to pay a couple extra dollars for a beer as well is a steal. Especially nowadays.Our waitress was very sweet, and didn't make us feel bad as we ate until we almost exploded. LOL. Asking for some lemon wedges was a nice added touch. It's a pretty casual place, so I didn't give it a full five stars as the decor doesn't really jump out at you, but at the same time it doesn't offend either. It was a little breezy, and they probably could fix that if they put a little divider by the door. All in all, a yummy experience.“
“I encountered this little hole-in-the-wall shop by accident while searching for a place to try the fish and chips in Canada (I came to visit from the US), and all the other locations had already closed, so I said why not? The rating was 3 stars, but I didn't want to dock points before giving it a go. When my family and I arrived, there was only one man working--my guess is that he was the owner--and he welcomed us warmly, even offered his recommendation for what to try. The four of us all ended up getting the regular 2-piece fish and chips, though you can also choose salmon, halibut, or snapper instead. He told us it would only be a 15- to 20-minute wait. We were the only guests there, but there were so many seats that I thought 6pm probably wasn't a busy time. It was pretty quiet inside, but it was pleasant to hear the sizzling in the kitchen. You could tell that the fish was cooked from scratch, maybe even came fresh off the boat. Each piece was huge. They were so crispy and tender they just melted in your mouth, and they weren't overly breaded. The fries were a little on the soft side, but paired really well with the tartar sauce. The coleslaw was amazing on its own, with a slight tang and light creaminess. The only things missing were the traditional malt vinegar and lemon wedge! Other than that, I would still rate this place 5 stars because of the friendly service, the sheer mass of the fish, and he prepared eight fish plus fries and coleslaw in an astounding 20 minutes! Next time I visit Canada, I will surely be dropping by this shop again, and I highly recommend everyone give it a try before you make any judgment.“
“Location and view on the ocean is what this place make it awesome - it’s right on the Crescent beach entrance.The server was very friendly and helped us choose our drinks and food.I took Salmon burger and it was delicious my wife decided to go with beef burger and it was a little overcooked.Overall I recommend this place but also I want to admit that it is a little bit pricey.“

We knew nothing about their menu items and “Sandy” the girl who served us explained everything very well and we ended up eating a lot and happily over loaded.Food is so nice and Service is so friendly. Very reasonably priced. This is our first visit and we’ll visit back for sure. ?“

“My family and I had a really great lunch there this weekend. It was pouring rain, but we were in the "solarium-like" outside patio that was warm and cozy with views of the marina and mountains. It was totally enjoyable and I would highly recommend it.“
“It had such a high rating that I had to check it out.Food I would have given you a 4.5 out of 5, but you were better than a 4, so 5 it is. It was the small plates that did it for me. It was the illusion of more food than there was. On the whole the food was excellent, a good choice of potatoes very good flavor. I had the Haddock one of my favorite good flavourful fish. Coleslaw was brilliant. That was a bang on taste. I enjoyed it.Had a pint to go with it. But I wasn't here for the beverages.Service great, she didn't come over and bug me all the time which I prefer, the once check up was fine.Did I enjoy it? Yes, so much so, I got another to go, too. I wanted to see how they reheated. The next day, heated them up and once again great. Maybe a bit of grease proof paper in there to stop the grease coming through the paper.Will I return you bet I will? It was worth the drive across the city, plus next time, I liked the look of the pies. I'm not a mushy pea fan even though I'm British. “Amazing fish that crubles as you eat it and pairs awesome with the tarter sauce.Fries were also good, a little on the softer side, but nothing that deminished the experience.I recommend getting 2 pieces as the fish pieces are a little small, otherwise great service, great food and a convienientally placed location even if your traveling from another city.“
