It's been a while (over a year since my last visit). I used to find the "welcome" by the hostesses rather frosty. They looked to find a reason not to seat you. The serving staff have clearly been replaced. A warm welcome and warm efficient service from all. The menu is standard izakaya fare done well. Our table enjoyed the selection of beers and sake. This is a fun place to eat and share plates. We love the Saba (see photo) which is prepared at the table. The cocktails are great, too. Justin, the owner, is always so kind and invested in making sure you have a good experience. It is noisier and livelier inside, if you like that kind of ambience. Request the patio if you prefer a quieter dinner.
