“I've been here many times, usually for takeaway. I've yet to try the fried chicken but all the sushi and bento boxes I've had are phenomenal! They certainly know how to cook food, and if you dine in at certain times you may be surprised with an gratis appetizer, which I just found out by actually doing a sit-down meal! Portions are excellent, especially for the price point. These guys have a realistic approach to what a dinner is worth and I'm sure everyone can agree that's a real commodity right now!! Wanna be full for $23 with leftovers? Then it's time to hit up Kitchen Story!“
“Good, fast takeout service, great tasting dumpling appetizer and combo pho.Nice atmosphere: I like the plants and greenery when you enter Pho U.Very clear how to order to-go and server was friendly.Plenty of parking and close to #11 bus line.I'll definitely visit again, next time to dine in.Good food, good price, good service.(* Eating takeout at home reminded me of lock-down and all the delivery meals I ate... Sure don't miss that!)“
“Chanced upon this lovely late night gem on a cold cold night. Oden tang was great - wonderful broth and thick with fish cake and vegetables. Pork and kimchee stew could have used a bit more pork, but it was also good. Kimchee udon was a bit disappointing but still OK. The volcano chicken was a hit - more spicy than sweet, but really well balanced.Extra props for our service that night, our waitress was gracious and attentive. Will definitely be back to check out the rest of the menu.“
“So good! The Seoul meal can't be beat. It's $16.50 and you get four pieces of chicken, fries, and a drink. The chicken was absolutely juicy and the sweet soy sauce was fantastic. Also recommend the apple slaw, lovely little coleslaw with poppy seeds and a mayo based dressing.I'll definitely be back to try the other flavours!“
“Went as a party of 2 turned to 4 and the waitress was extremely accommodating. We got the half and half chicken with the sweet/mild (forgot the name) and Megan sauces along with the fries and cro-waffle. Cro-waffle was delightfully crunchy and had an intriguing buttery flavor that contrasted well with the provided syrup. Otherwise, great atmosphere and cute decorations, but the little details was what really made me want to leave a review here for future tourists. Things like the light in the sink in the clean bathroom and the hollowed out ice in my drink makes this place a 10/10 and a must-go for me.“
“Walked into Nubo Kitchen in the way back to the hotel, as we had a memorable night at the restaurant of the same name further up the street. The craft drinks were created excellently as we expect of Victoria's caliber. The food was without peer. While the soft shell crab was called a "salad," the greens were more of deco compliment, which we preferred. The server, host, and bartender all shared in responsibilities and we enjoyed their friendly demeanor.“
“Foods great, Service kinda slow, they didn’t serve us our alcohol drinks order. We didn’t follow up either, cause we saw our server is out already. And we are not in the mood for alcohol cause,We are just weirded out by a korean family on the next table, that keeps watching us. Maybe cause we order too much food for the two of us, i dont know. Will come back again.“
“Love this place mostly the potatoes wedges are what edge out the competitors for me as this town does not have a clear winner for Korean chicken, its all fantastic where I have been. This place needs some reno love so don't let that deter you.“
“From the moment you step into Chimak, you're enveloped in a cozy atmosphere that promises a unique dining experience. This Korean chicken restaurant truly excels in the art of Asian cuisine. The star of the menu is, without a doubt, their signature Korean fried chicken. Perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, each bite is a delightful explosion of flavors. The secret lies in their special seasoning and the perfectly balanced spicy sauce that leaves you craving for more.Parking: ON the street“
“Bistro Chi-Q has the best pork bone soup, I’ve had in Victoria! The portion is hugeee and for such a good price! This was just for 2 people and I had leftovers for 2 days ?Will definitely go back to have this soup again, such a hearty meal specially if you have the flu or you’re recovering ❤️ Must try!!“
“Lunch special $30/person is good deal considering it’s portion, quality, and variety of dishes. Would recommend to everyone! As Asian, we do love their fish dishes. It’s authentic cuisine which includes fish bones. Difficult to find one in Victoria restaurants“
“The food was great! If you like kimchi, the kimchi soup was quite spicy but really good! Bipimbop was tasty as well. Green grape soju was a nice finish to the meal. The interior could use a good scubbing with the years of use showing but the food more than makes up for it. We will return to try more items ?“
“This is one of my go-to places for lunch. Top notch fried chicken and great people here. I buy the 3 Piece Lunch Deal and all flavors are great but I like the spicy the best. Savory soy is also really good and fries and very crispy.* I thought I reviewed this place before but I guess I was wrong.“
