“This Subway is across from where I work so I am here a lot. They work their butts off and the owner/manager seems to know everyone that walks through the doors, if he doesn’t know you he’s happy to strike up a conversation while his hands are busy making sandwiches. Everyone working here is super personable, they’re efficient and the place is always tidy.“

“Mariselle was a wonder-woman! She held up the fort alone, multi-tasking so efficiently with multiple orders on the go, making sure each one was exactly how the person wanted it. “Typical Subway franchise located in Helmcken Road. It’s within walking distance to Victoria General Hospital, Aroga Lifestyle Clinic, and multiple other important places of visits. I had a foot long sandwich: Nashville Style Chicken, and it was the same as other Subways I have had it at. Sitting arrangement is quite spacious compared to multiple other Subway locations I’ve been! Definitely a visit when you’re nearby and craving a sandwich!

The only probable downside I would say is there was only one staff present, one more would be awesome to accommodate increase in customers during peak hours.“

“Before coming to this store, I had only tried Subway once before, and it wasn't at this location. My initial experience left me with the impression that Subway employees generally don't care much about their customers. They seemed disengaged and sometimes even rude. For instance, when I asked an employee for advice, they responded in a way that made me feel unwelcome and disliked. This was very off-putting.

However, my visit to this particular store completely changed that perception. The employees here were engaging and friendly. When I asked for advice, they provided excellent suggestions and engaged me in an interesting conversation. This positive experience has given me hope that Subway can cultivate a more welcoming and customer-friendly environment across all their stores, similar to what I experienced here.“

“To be honest I really didn't want to go to Subway for a mommy daughter date but that's what she wanted. I found it actually quite good. They have a lot of different types of sandwiches now on their menu and the staff were really friendly. Other than the table not being super clean I liked my sandwich and my daughter was super happy.“

“I will say, there are a lot of subways on the strip of Shelbourne, north of Hillside. Three come to mind immediately. I choose this one.The sandwiches are made neatly and consistently, it's not too busy, and the parking is painless. Of course, it's a little out of the way, but that lends the a certain charm to the whole Torquay village thing.“

“No more "roasted chicken"???! I've been eating that particular subway ever since the first time they opened! In December, I had one at this restaurant like nothing was about to go wrong. It was delish as they have been all over the world for years! Yesterday I went in and was told "they don't have those anymore". Wow. Made a quick decision to have just a ham on Italian and it was fine. Tomatoes were a bit less than good which I've seen others comment on as well. Next time, my husband said to try the club and I think I will. Just needs more flavour but I'm not sure if that's just this particular Subway or all of them. More investigating needed!“

“Very clean and fast service. They worked well with the two people there. The veggies and bread looked very fresh (you really can't say that with all Subways, as you know already) They made a mistake on all our subs and forgot to add jalapenos but it is a great place overall compared to some other Subways. If the mistake wasn't made and they were a bit more friendly; they would have had five stars. I will definitely go back to this location.“

“The staff at this Subway are incredible. Paulo and his team are always so friendly and efficient. They remember all the hospital ‘regulars’ names and orders. I’m always amazed at how fast the lineups move and that the staff remain so cheerful during the busy times. Always put a smile on my face when i come here on my lunch break!“

“Staff and owner were professional, kind, and accommodating for us - I asked for extra pickles and I got a generous amount of extra pickles! Plus the staff remained kind and professional even when the guy behind me in line was rude and a little racist to the staff. Sad they had to deal with that but that handled it amazingly. I am a repeat customer and will be coming back more in the future“

“I got a gluten free sub here. The lady working was amazing, she knew all about celiac and used fresh gloves for me and a fresh knife. I’ve been to lots of other subways and never got sick from this location. Staff have all been nice and generally aware of CC. Thank you to the lady working who cared so much in preventing me from getting sick!

“Clean, quick and professional. Most of the staff listen to exactly what you ask for and are very quick with preparation. There is one or two that are obviously just going through the motions and have dumped one ingredient on when I've asked for a small ammount. Overall very good though“

“went here this evening. there was only one person working and it was quite busy. he was also busting out tons of skip the dish orders and uber eats orders while taking customers. he’s did amazing! a shame he was all alone though. i think it’s really irresponsible of management to leave someone to work alone while so much is happening. despite that, the man working did a great job and our food came out perfectly.“

“Subway is one of my favourite go-tos. Usually for a salad. It seems that the majority of fast food places have an off taste to their lettuce especially, but also their other veggies. Somehow Subway has figured out how not to ruin the taste. Service is usually good.“
