“Wanted a nice vegan lunch and found this was a couple blocks away from our hotel (Strathcona). Food was amazing! The mushroom soup was the best I ever had and the Mac bowl makes me want to come back for more. Highly recommended. All vegan, gluten free, locally sourced ingredients. Everything we ate was crafted to perfection.“

“We visited again from Sask and did not disappoint! Amazing! Well worth the wait in line! I had the tuna on salad! And my husband had the halibut fish and chips with a side of the chowder. The chowder was his favourite. Still taking about it. The staff were also fantastic. Friendly and very efficient! For the amount of people served and the small space we were amazed at how spotless the kitchen was. Highly recommend a visit here!!“

“My coworker and I enjoy spending Wednesdays here for ayce ribs.

Though it’s usually busy during the 6PM dinner rush, the staff are very accommodating, even if you don’t have a reservation! Ang has been one of the most attentive staff we’ve been served by at this location, and improves our dining experience drastically.

Our top 2 favourite appetizers are the “Burnt ends” and the “Spinach dip”, both of which I recommend trying at least once.“

“Having worked in some of Victoria's premier top tier restaurants in the 80's in my previous career, I am able to recognise dining excellence. This is exactly what I experienced at Il Terrazzo a few days ago. Everything was excellent. The flavour in the dinners I experienced was truly next level, high end dining. Our waiter David was the consummate professional, offering excellent recommendations, paying attention to every detail, and never left us waiting for anything while simultaneously managing to be wholly unintrusive. Even the bus person who cleared our table knew all etiquette, had clearly been taught how to do the job with excellence. Moreover, I feel the need to comment on the portion sizes, they are truly generous. This is often not the case in high end restaurants. Despite being a very upscale restaurant, with a price point that is in line with this, the value proposition remains excellent due to the incredible flavours, texture, and food quality. Big shout out to the kitchen staff, we will be back to enjoy more of their amazing menu.“

When they state porkbelly and you get shaved roast porkbelly that is not seasoned and because it is thinner than their bacon super chewy and distracts from the other flavours of the dish which are okay. If they rubbed it and braised the belly and cut proper thick slices for porkbelly it would do the oppisite and add to the dish 🥲.“

“This has been one of the best Greek restaurants we’ve ever been to. From the food to the service it was amazing and done right! Would 100% recommend! We had the keftedes, moussaka, lamb shank, and ekmek and they were to die for! We ate everything off the plate, and our serve Dimitri was just the best!“

“Drove up from Calgary last Saturday afternoon and stumbled upon Brasserie L'École after a morning of wandering around downtown Victoria, and I am so glad we did. We ordered the moules frites and the broth was so rich and garlicky that we ended up asking for extra bread just to soak it all up. The room has this warm, lived-in bistro feel with close-set tables and the hum of good conversation, which made the whole lunch feel like we were actually in France for an hour. Definitely putting this one on the list for every future trip to the island.“

“Tasmin was our server When we arrived, it was very busy, Tasmin seated us quickly in the "VIP" section which made my kids very excited. She was an absolute wonderful server, she was personable, funny and very knowledgable and helpful with the menu. She made our visit one of our favorite memories from our vacation. I would highly recommend this restaurant to families, it is a great atmosphere. Also, they offer a gluten free menu if you have dietary restrictions.
