“This is my second or third time here. I decided to go off the beach and path and try a non-dosa or non uttapam dish. I am glad I did because the biryani was excellent as was the chili chicken appetizer. Even the naan was good, it was thinner almost like a parota but yummy. The flavors really reminded me of eating in South India. And Andhra food has always been of interest and I'm so glad we have this restaurant here. Used to have to go to South Bay for the best Indian food but this place proves that to be wrong!“

“I absolutely love how this place is down-to-earth and back to basics. There aren't any options when you order, except between a large or medium portion. Everyone is given the same menu each day which rotates and features a soup, a salad, rice, and a variety of healthy vegetable dishes. There is self serve tea for free“

“I took a lot of accidental live photos here, I would have preferred stagnant. I just wanted to capture one moment, I didn't need any of the moments leading up to that one moment. I'll smile for photos because I want to believe I'm happy in most moments of my life. Live photos are showing me that sometimes I look miserable right before smiling. Anyway, at least food doesn't change much with live photos. It looked and tasted great.“

“Great vegetarian food. Fast service, aQuiet, wonderful feel, and great customer service. Food is very tasty. I've gone a total of 5 times within the last 3 months. I do not eat out much. But when I do, I like authentic food that feels like home. Shangri-La Vegan On Linden marks the spot.“

“Delicious food. Amazing service. And great portions. We got the poke bowls; they were great!! We also got the 3 amigos special roll, green tea, miso soup, and salmon nigiri. All amazing!! Our server was nice, quick, and very attentive. Always making sure our tea was hot and we were well covered. A couple outdoor tables, and a good amount of indoor. Tons of take out action. They have cool purple rice as a signature. And the fish was very tasty! Highly recommend. There is a good sized parking lot next to the restaurant. Just be sure to park with caution; the neighboring Ace hardware brings a lot of turn over of large work trucks that have some challenges with the parking lot. This is a great spot!!Vegetarian options: Tons of veg optionsDietary restrictions: Tons of veg optionsParking: Street parking and a lot both free!Kid-friendliness: Yes!Wheelchair accessibility: A bit tight, but I believe it is Ada compliant“

“We found this restaurant online and thought we would try it. I am the only vegan in our travelling group, but they all gave it a try. Everyone enjoyed the food. The soup and sandwich hit the spot on a cool day. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone whether you are vegan or not. A good, healthy choice with tasty food and a good atmosphere. It had contactless ordering and free water for every table. Clean and tidy place as well!Dietary restrictions: Full vegan restaurant and possibly gluten free options.“

“It's simple - veggie pizza with a variety of toppings and combinations. No you can't order what you want, but you don't need to - it's already done right just for you! The same one all day. It's delicious, haven't had a bad one and I've tried a bunch. Sometimes they have yesterday's pizza that they can prepare but in my experience you have to either call ahead for that or come earlier in the day to get it. Doesn't matter, today's pizza is banging!“

“This wonderful place is my other office. It's cute and cozy, has strong wifi, the staff is super friendly, and the food is delicious. It's not cheap, but they use lots of fresh, healthy ingredients and it's beautifully presented. I've recently had the winter lentil salad, the French grilled cheese, and the tomato bisque. Yum.“

“I have several favorites here but you have to do the mushu wraps as an app! The food is always great! The only downside is that the timing for food to be ready can vary wildly (10-20 mins from the expected time) each time I go to pick up. But the food is always fresh and warm.“

“I have been going to Enjoy Vegetarian for many years & my favorite Chinese restaurant. You would never know you are eating vegetarian. Some of the dishes have "meat" which is made of soy, yam or wheat gluten. Much better tasting than the "impossible" meat products.“

“I came here specifically because I was craving chicken karahi and it definitely hit the spot. My partner got the madras chicken and that was also good. Both tender bite-size pieces of chicken breast, yet somehow so moist. And there's unlimited complimentary chai and hot water/tea bags. It was a mildly spiced chai. When we got here, there were only a few people, and the manager (didn't get his name!) said we could sit anywhere. After looking at the menu, we asked him his chicken recommendations. He was refreshingly honest about how some dishes weren't particularly unique or difficult to make and guided us. For spice, we got the karahi med-spicy and madras just medium. I'd say medium is pretty mild by my standards, next time I'd get spicy if I wasn't dining with my mild-spice white bf. After asking about the naan over papadum, he suggested naan but gave us papadum on the house, which was really appreciated. Mid way through dinner a large party (15+) came in, making the place much more lively and busy, but service was still good. I was glad to see it for the business :) Next time I would try some different appetizers, a lamb dish, and maybe aloo naan. Looking forward to coming back.“

“Nature is a wonderful vegetarian/vegan restaurant in downtown Oakland California. We have been a fan for several years. After closing indoor dining during pandemic, they are back open for indoor dining. They have always had the carry out option. We visited yesterday and had a great dining experience. We had ordered hot and sour soup, sesame chicken, spicy eggplant, chicken chow mein and spicy Thai fried rice in a clay pot. All dishes were excellent. The standouts were the sesame chicken and the soup. A friendly staff and a welcoming ambiance. Glad they are open again for indoor dining as we will be back more often in person than carrying out.“

“The food here was excellent. We got a vegetable momo with tofu and a tofu with mushroom & spinach to share. The momo was yummy, I was a big fan of the mint sauce. My girlfriend usually eats meat but she catered to me since they’d run out of meat momo for the night. The tofu with spinach and mushroom (No. 41 I believe) was so flavorful. Had a spice to it that really warms ya up. It was my first time having Tibetan food, what a wonderful experience. Super cute spot.Tashi & crew were extremely kind. Will definitely be back on our next visit to Berkeley.Dietary restrictions: Vegan options!“

“Blue Nile was my first taste of Ethiopian food, and I'm glad I tried it! The Meat Combo Platter was a hit! The Doro Wot, a traditional chicken stew with its rich and spicy sauce, was a standout, perfectly showcasing the bold flavors of Ethiopian cuisine. The Alicha Yeb'ge, a mild lamb stew, offered a delightful contrast with its aromatic blend of spices. And the Beef Bamia, with its tender beef simmered alongside okra and tomatoes, was a savory delight. The only hiccup was the slow service during lunchtime. We were the only ones eating inside, and it took a while for the server to bring water and menus. Plus, we waited another 30 minutes for our food. They could work on being quicker and more attentive. But despite that, Blue Nile is a great spot to explore Ethiopian flavors.“

“I recently went to Besharam with my uncle. Besharam is 100 percent pure veg aka lacto-vegetarian fine dining Indian restaurant in the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco. We went here recently and was packed. Service was friendly. I spent more than three years in India over eight winters. My uncle recently returned last winter from his first sojourn to India. The atmosphere and ambiance here was just fine. A nice restaurant. He is vegetarian and I am vegan. The menu features cuisine from Gujarat and Mumbai aka Bombay. The menu is a bit challenging to navigate with too many options yet our waiter gave us some suggestions. My uncle went with a paneer dish and naan. I went with Chloe aka garbanzo beans and roti made vegan sans ghee. We split the Ringan No Pro aka fire charred eggplant. My uncle is a tough critic. He gave it two stars. He quipped I had better paneer at the airport in Bangalore than this paneer. He got the halva for dessert to go and later said it wasn't that good. I felt the food was costly aka expensive. I liked that it was pure veg aka vegetarian with clearly labeled vegan options. I was happy to see the restaurant was packed as makes me very happy to see a vegetarian or vegan restaurant packed with so many folks enjoying vegetarian or vegan cuisine. Our server was friendly. I felt my food was tasty. It was a light fare. They did have a $75 dollar tasting menu featuring a little bit of everything on the menu yet my uncle felt like if he loved what he ordered he would be keen to come back to try it. Our waiter said that they can customize the tasting menu to be vegan. I concur with my uncle. The bill for what we ordered was nearly as much as if we both got the tasting menu. This is our feelings on our recent experience here.“

“I like the sizzling rice soup with extra broccoli. Too many good options to recommend off the lunch menu. The lunch includes a cup of hot n sour soup plus a vegan egg roll and rice. The general Tso's chicken tastes a little better when it cools down. I also like the mushu vegetables with tofu instead of eggs.“

“Their noodle selections were really great! The only one I wouldn't recommend is the pad see ew, just because it's so comparable to anywhere else. It's a bit narrow and crowded inside, definitely a wait time. We ended up sitting at the only table outside but it was a bit chilly and ended up taking it to go. They were very nice though!“

“The lunch special was great. It came with your choice of appetizer, main dish and a soda drink, and for $2 more you can upgrade to the Thai tea. The food was good, especially the curry, I ordered it vegetarian style, and they added plenty of vegetables. The cozy ambiance made it perfect for a quick lunch, and I particularly admired the beautifully decorated bathroom - a unique touch! I'd suggest bringing some of that charm into the dining area. The 20% discount was a pleasant surprise, and the staff were exceptionally polite and efficient. While I prefer my Thai teas a bit sweeter, I still found this place to be a fantastic dining spot overall!“

“Quiet night with all the trick or treaters about and, I guess, no one gives out sushi on Halloween. Their loss, my win-- I had the sushi bar to myself and the full attention of a very talented and friendly sushi chef. I chose some things (nigiri, rolls) and all was fresh, super tasty, well prepared and nice portions. The miso soup was tasty but lava hot! I also asked for and enjoyed some recommendations by the chef and will definitely be back for more!“

“It's sad that the atmosphere is so important. This is a no frills sort of place. The bathrooms are super clean ( with really pretty tile) the kitchen is spotless, and the food is spot on. I had the mole plate, my husband had a burrito, and we shared the fried fish taco. All were delicious. The mole especially was very good. Full of flavor and not sweet! Go for the food and nice people!Vegetarian options: I saw a few veggie options and there was a vegan flan.Kid-friendliness: No frills place. “Jayna offers an array of Mediterranean eats, similar to what you'd find at Nick the Greek. However, the food is 10x better! Not too salty, the Beef and Lamb gyro was extremely savory with flavor, it did not feel like the food was from the freezer. Got the combo and was MORE than enough food for a late lunch early dinner. May not need to eat later and if i do, I'll have leftovers. Definitely check them out if you want a more flavorful, fast-ish Mediterrean food experience.Huge shout out to Ali for his great service and welcoming smile!“

“DAMN GOOD MEXICAN FOOD! I don't care what anyone says in the reviews, anyone giving this place less than a 4.5 does not know what they are talking about. This place is literally one of the only good places to eat authentic Mexican food. Their regular burritos are 10.95 and they are literally the size of other restaurants that charge you 13$ for "super" burrito and them shi be nasty. Bomb ahh asada fries, the guacamole is so good, it has a perfect mix of lime, pepper, salt and avocado. The tacos taste the same as the ones do in mexico, you want authentic? This place has tacos that are literally the same thing that they sell in Mexico, literally where tacos come from! (Specifically the ones from guadalajara, those are the ones it reminds me of). Burritos are fantastic. The asada is the best from every other taco place. If you want to find a better place you have to drive at least 30 more minutes south/southwest. This is an honest review by a real Mexican, not a gringo that only knows shell tacos and chimichangas.“

“A great find for Ethiopian cuisine in the East Bay. And offering 100% teff injera makes it a great gluten free option. Diners can sit at either conventional tables or a tradtional table. The stylish decor helps lend a layer of authenticity. It can be very warm inside due to lack of AC; ceiling fans help to pull in outside air when the temperature drops.“

“Came here on a Thursday evening and it was pretty empty. We got the angel wings as an appetizer since stuffed wings seemed like an interesting concept. They were pretty good. I also got the Kao Soi as my main dish which is my go to at Thai places. I didn't love the initial sweetness in taste (the spicier flavors came as an aftertaste) but it was still pretty solid. Overall, I would return.“

“I went here last night with my partner and my daughter and I’m so glad we did because it was awesome! Honestly the best Chinese food we’ve have since moving to the area 3 years ago. Everything is super fresh. My daughter ordered vegetable fried rice and there were actually hearty and fresh veggies in it! Im a vegetarian and ordered the “imitation” sweet and sour chicken. Normally im not big on fake meats but I’m so glad I got this because it was absolutely delicious. My very meat loving partner even liked it. The staff is extremely welcoming and very efficient. We will absolutely be back here and highly Recommend you try it!“
