“Spacious area with outdoor seating, excellent selection of inebriants + nonalcoholic options, adjacent food truck with insanely yummy food + outdoor seating (but not pet-friendly 🥲).

On a Saturday afternoon in November the place was lightly filled, and bar service immediate. Truck food was fresh-prepared so took a bit, but you get a buzzer so no need to stand around twiddling thumbs.

I had the vegan Yogi Bowl which was outstanding (and spendy at $18, but it was enough for two meals) and thoroughly enjoyed the array of ingredients & flavors. 🥗🍚🍲

This is the only bar I’ve found so far that carries both a Belgian Tripel (in the correct glass) + cider + kombucha + root beer on tap. 👏🏼👏🏼

The only downside is that the view from the patio is basically a wire fence & parking lot (or the nearby thoroughfare), but if you angle your seating you can see forested mountains⛰️ in the background. 😉”

“What a great sushi place! So glad we stumbled upon this out of the way super tasty off the beaten path sushi place in Arcata. It’s a mom n pop shop atmosphere but the food is fine dining style. We both got a roll with salmon in it, can’t remember the names but they were both delicious. The Miso soup, tempura veggies and edamame are all bomb too. Made a mistake of ordering three sakis, they came in a nice size bottle with more than enough for the three of us. Portions are generous and the food is fresh. Got the seaweed salad this trip and it was great, nice roasted sesame flavor. This is now our favorite place to get sushi in Arcata”

“Our company works with Kinetic Koffee directly. Their special blends are not only delicious, but they have a blend for all occasions. Their customer service is wonderful, and their company has a wonderful footprint in the sand in Humboldt County. I would highly recommend trying them.”

“I fly from Boston to Arcata to visit family, and this spot is by far my favorite place to grab fresh coffee. The staff is amazing, and everything is fresh. “APD has probably the best pizza in the Arcata/Eureka area, but check your pizza. I come and get a pizza here probably twice a month. I always order the same thing, half just cheese, half pepperoni and jalapeño, and more than half the time it comes out half pepperoni, half jalapeño. Then I have to wait for them to remake it. Not sure why that happens so often. But great pizza. Just be sure to check it.”

“Hands down the best Chinese food we have found in the humboldt area. Quick for large takeout orders and DELICIOUS! Vegetarian? No problem! You can get fried tofu subbed in any of your old favorite dishes (looking at you orange tofu and sweet and sour tofu). Good portions served family style and you always get a box of white rice with your entrees as well. Everything you’re looking for in good reliable spot to order some Chinese food. The workers are quick and professional and the food is flavorful. Make sure to check out the coconut buns and vegetable chow fun!”
