“The mango sticky rice here is so good! The mangos were really fresh and there were plenty of slices that came with the dish. The crispy bits on top are also an unexpected yet delicious addition and pair well with the sticky rice and sauce. “Yo I've lived in sherman oaks for a long time and I cant believe I just found out about this place. I came with my friend for lunch and it was packed. The workers are really nice and I got recommended the torta and the lunch plates. “Located in Studio City and serving patrons since 1964, Vivian’s is a classic diner option in the valley. It’s very small on the inside with only a few large tables. They also have more seating in the back, but we were able to find a seat for two in the front for a 10:30 Sunday brunch. They don’t have a dedicated parking lot so it will be metered street parking, which is not that hard to find in the valley. Our server was polite and all of our items came out quickly. I am giving 4/5 stars because the food quality isn’t as good as some other places close by like More Than Waffles, Bob’s, or Paty’s and the inside could use a cleaning. The floor was very dirty under our table and the table next to us even complained about it.I started off with a Coffee, which is my go to order at any diner. For my meal I chose the Eggs Benedict with a Biscuit on the side. The Eggs Benedict had a nice flavor but the eggs were undercooked and runny. They did not have the true poached consistency with the yolk covering the dish, it was too watery and splashed out as soon as I cut into it. Also the biscuit was as flat as an English muffin and really lacked the biscuit or buttermilk flavor. We also ordered the 2x2x2 and the pancakes were actually very good, but it’s also very hard to mess up pancakes. It was not a bad meal by any means, but certainly not as good of one as others I have had close by on the same street.Overall I would say it could be an option if you’re already in the valley and the more popular spots have too long of wait times.Parking: no parking lot, only metered street parkingWheelchair accessibility: no stairs or incline to enter/exit“

“This place is great, with amazing options and great servings. I love getting their club sandwich, their pizzas and their tuna melt! If I ever get a chance to go early enough I'll get their breakfast plates as well because they just look amazing! For me the best part about the place is easily the hot sauce they will hand you if you ask for it. They casually hand you the best hot sauce you've ever eaten in your life, and it's so amazing because it goes with ALL of their savory menu items! They bake their sandwich bread inside what looks like a large brick type open oven as a pizza place would do. When you order a sandwich, your bread is pretty much baked to order as you watch. They're able to do this as the sandwiches use a flat bread style.You place your order at the register they give you a number and you can wait anywhere in the cafe where they will bring you your food regardless if it is for here to go.It appeared as though it was the manager who was filling the roll of expediter, inspecting, packing & running completed orders to guests.I have to hand it to the person that was handling this at 2:27pm 3/8/24. This gentleman was extremely friendly, gracious, professional, warm, welcoming & part of why I would come back sooner.Please, pass on to him how noticeable good he is at the things that he does.I left feeling like I had made a good decision to go there and I would like to come back. The guests in this location appeared well put together with a mix of middle and lower classes.My final comment is not one directed to this establishment itself. “I got the best ahi salad today at this location. The people who helped me between 1-1:30pm today were so amazing. Lots of choices for ingredients and dressings but, alas, no thousand island. Large salad is enough for two or three people. They also offered tomato basil soup but it had apparently been sitting there a while. The crew was great. Keeping in mind that salad is essentially all you are going to get you could do a lot worse.
