“They never fail me here. The chaufa is always good, good portions for the price & chunky. I don't even go to the Chinese spot for fried rice anymore, I go to Hornero's! I get the veggie chaufa, plantanos, fries, aqua frescas & they green sauce.“
“We went here for dinner tonight with 4 adults and two small children and I can’t recommend it enough. The space is very cool, the service was extremely nice and the food was incredible. I would especially recommend the ceviche mercado and the flan.“
“Sivar Treats has an amazing staff and delicious food. There are many tasty treats: pupusas, plátano, el caldo de gallina, los postres. My family hired them for a baby shower and they were professional , kind , and the food was perfect . They have another location opening in Silverlake too!“
“I have just moved to OC and glad to have a great time at Isla. Food was yummy - the plantain chips, ceviche, sautéed garlic butter shrimps, oxtails, yuca fries, cocktails, etc. Ricardo was very helpful and gave us some great suggestions. Great service and atmosphere, would love to return soon!“
“Birria is on point, this is what I usually get when I go here. I feel like the asada is marinated with parmesan cheese seasoning, which is a bit offsetting. But the red sauce is up there with king taco. I stayed in this area for about 2 months and this was my go-to spot.“
“This place was reservations out that night but they made room for me at the bar. Service was really good and friendly. You must get the tots. I ate it even before taking a pic. ?. The red sauce for enchilada was really excellent. Ohh. And the fluffy Mexican rice is bomb. And they make the tortillas fresh. I have “
“- Great platanos; nachos were good (the guac could be better/real); and sampler was good too.- Only constructive criticism would be to liven up the inside interior (outside of a wall painting and angel-wings banner, it's rather plain and boring).- Definitely worth a visit. My Dominican lady loved it and felt it was authentic (mofongo) as you can get out here on the West Coast.“
“This is the place to go if your Hungary. Great homemade by hand plate by plate one at a time. Lots of regular people here and some personalitys too. Three 75" tvs on the wall for sports watching, big bathrooms. The food is of the hook here everything is the bomb. Lots of choices, lots of food for the money. And everybody is family here and everybody knows your name kinda place. Always a satisfying experience here.“
“The prices in the photos are not updated in the photos...but what I remember and what I paid 2 days ago:Tacos $1.75Burritos, cakes, quesadillas are worth $8.50Mules $3.00Sodas $1Small waters $1.50And that's all I remember, BUT the food is delicious....there are like 3 tables to eat in the place but it doesn't matter because many order takeout. They gave us a lot of sauces, onions, cucumbers, radishes and the waiting time was short, I think, no more than 15 minutes....but because we arrived at 6...later you can see that it gets more crowded. Oh, I forgot to mention that on Mondays the sign says they are 2 for 1 on tacos al pastor BUT they told me that the current promo is tacos al pastor on Mondays for $1...which is still super cool. In general they are 10 out of 10.“
“I would of took a picture of our food but we devoured it! Platano Maduro Con Todo & Chuleta Frita, deliciosa!Ordering was easy and simple, atmosphere when I walked in for pick-up was phenomenal, lots of imported goodies, and great service every time.Thank you Honduras.“
“Yummy! We stopped to try their empanadas and tried 3 different ones: chicken, spinach, and ham & cheese. The 3 were served with pico de gallo and guacamole….they all were delicious with very beautiful hand made crusts. We really enjoyed them and would definitely come back. ☺️??Parking: Parking is only a few spaces along the front of the building and some are handicapped labeled so get there early.“
“We drove around yesterday and found this hidden gem! Omg was i suprised! We ended up getting the Molcajete for 2 and ended up leaving with leftovers! Huge portion for the buck! Plus fresh hand made tortillas topped it off! My other family members got the huge packed quesadilla for my grandson..amazing! The 3 tacos plate combo with beans and rice! Delicious! And the Carnes asada and shrimp plate! Did not disappoint! They got fresh aguas frescas, we got the horchata. And the employees there were so polite and were so attentive to us. Im definitely coming back to try everything on there menu! Stomach fell in love with this place. Need to visit for the prices! Help support small family business like these!Vegetarian options: They have the options to provide a vegan meal as long as you order specifically what you want them to add to your order and im sure if you tell them you are vegan, they will make sure to attend to your accommodations.Parking: There is parking in back by the Barber Shop or 2hr parking in front. Plenty of time to eat.Kid-friendliness: They got kids menu“
“Great food and filling the burritos and the quesadillas are 5.50 sorry I don't have a picture but I'm a big guy and it filled me up! The have red and green salsa, they have cilantro and onions, salsa de guacamole, rebanadas, cucumbers AND pepinos.Only reason it's 4 stars is because it was really dirty“
“My first time trying the pupusas and they were amazing! I got the revuelta, queso con loroco, and calabaza, they were all big and filled with the tasty filling. I also got the Salvadoran horchata and it was the perfect amount of sweetness. Really sweet service, I would come back.“
“2nd time here. Had to come back, aannd will be back again!! Ordered the Sopa de Gallina. One word to describe; AMAZING!! The chicken breast was well seasoned and super juicy. Still in love with the rice. The broth, you can taste the passion, skill and time it takes to achieve the flavor. Always remember to be patient, great food doesn't take 5 mins. It was hot out today, but super fresh inside.“
“The BEST chicharone! Both in price and quality! I'd gladly pay more per lb. It's that good. The Oatmeal is great. The Casamiento is very good. The longaniza is great. The Quesadillas are also the best! I wish I could rate this place higher.“
“Good amounts of meat for me , birria plate was pretty damn good, don’t know if it was because i was hungry, or the birria was just good but i loved it! Consome with the birria was great, beans and rice were so salty though so thats a star down. Pretty good birria though“
“Today is my 4th time coming here, close to my house near South Gate park. I've had breakfast 3 times & today I came for a Sopa de Gallina. I must say their food is delicious, the presentation is very appealing & their service has been consistent & pleasant. I would highly recommend you come in & try it for yourself. Thank you for the great food & service. Jose D. ?“
“The entrance to the place is a little neglected but the service is very good. We tried ballads and we liked them, the fried fish had good seasoning. The exquisite snail soup with a coastal flavor, the appetizers were expensive for the amount they come. We left satisfied and eager to return.“
“Tried the Buenos Box Loaded Quesadilla, the Buenos Box Grilled Cheese box, the Churros with Ube sauce, and the Ube Chata.Let me start with the good:The birria quesadilla and birria grilled cheese were amazing! I'm not much of a birria fan, so hopefully that's saying something. The meat was suave and easy to eat, almost like you could just drink it lol. The tortilla for the quesadilla had a subtle soft crunch and was flavorful. The grilled cheese tasted like a Philly cheesesteak sandwich. And the bread was really flavorful. It was unexpected! You can't go wrong with either of these choices.Churros with Ube sauce. I wanted the option with ice cream, but they didn't have any. You can't really go wrong with churros. The Ube sauce is lightly sweetened. It was a nice dessert. The ambience is great. The store is very colorful and they play a nice variety of music. The tables and chairs aren't really user friendly though. The not so good: The street corn side was not so good. They need to put more of the toppings and mix it well. I just had corn with juices at the bottom. Didn't even finish it after it got cold. The nachos were alright. The cheese sauce or whatever they put on it needs more flavor, and the chips seem really light on salt. The birria and other toppings were good though. The verde or green sauce needs more flavor. Usually it has more a citrus kick and slightly spicier. It was alright. I did end up mixing it with the leftover nacho cheese sauce and using it for the quesadillas. Huge horchata fan here. Ube Chata tasted like Froot Loops. Didn't like it too much. Maybe add more horchata?I went on two different days for these orders. The service was fast, but the cashier didn't seem like he wanted to be there.“
“It's very funny that I deliberately decided to write a review, just now. I've been a customer here for quite some time. I spent the other half of my life (I'm 30 now, lol) being an active customer for a great while. Although some people come and go, likewise with the former employees who move on to other things in life. I'm positive that the only consistent thing is great service and quality beverages given to the customers, altogether.“
“Almost always good service... but I had a bad experience... there is a tall white girl, she works at the cashier and when she brought us the groceries she threw the straws and she turned around and left and when she brought the food she did the same thing I just threw it away and it left..“
“Crabby's was definitely a great experience and a good seafood option! One of the few places in the area that offers a wide array of seafood and ways to enjoy it.Started off with some guacamole, you can tell it was just made! Their house salsa was delicious as well, I combined the two and winner winner!I tried their garlic buttered shrimp with rice and beans, and will have to get that again next time! They had some spicy options which also look good, if you're into that kind of thing ?.Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and will happily be back soon. I love that this is a family business and everyone is so friendly and kind. Thanks again and see you soon!“
“One of the best local pupusa places in Lynwood/South Gate area. Their pupusas are huge and full of cheese that pulls out when you break the pupusas. Their curtido is very flavorful. They also serve a delicious Carne Guizada with rice, beans, salad, and had made delicious fat tortillas. One more item that my wife and I like to order and now our son loves too is their sopa de pollo that comes with a lot of vegetables, two pieces of chicken and most impotently, they serve it with little coditos pasta inside. it brings the sopa to another level especially when you are sick or it's just a sopa kind of weather. The staff is very friendly and very attentive. Will definitely keep coming back here as long they keep making delicious food.“
“Well, first advice, bring cash because they charge for using a card the food is delicious, the prices are good, the customer service is good, 4 stars, very nice decoration, you have to order in front, ok, not at the tables, it's strange for my name, they wanted to serve me at the tables, I ordered in front and They charged me Hai himself then notice that the others were fine ?“
“This place has the best Mexican food in town from tacos sopes mariscos shrimp in green Chile a la diabla costa azul etc etc the prices are very very reasonable. Bring cash because they don't accept credit card. They sell beer too. The waitresses are so nice there too. You will love this place.“
