“What a great find on a quick work trip to Benecia! I wish there were more stars to give!

Baxter’s has a welcoming vibe when you first walk in, and it gets even better after you meet some of the team! My server, Michelle, absolutely made the evening for me! She had some great menu suggestions and top-notch service and was great to chat with! Kenneth also made sure that everything tasted great, and I was enjoying my visit! Hats off to the Chef and her ability to create some unique dishes!

I appreciated the menu, which has a little bit of everything. I instantly got that feeling that I was in for a treat. To kick things off, I went with the Baked Brie En Croute, which was outstanding! My main entree was a tough choice, though. There was a special, Gumbo Pasta, which I had never encountered before and piqued my interest. Let me tell you, this special should be on the menu, and if it is available when you stop in, it's a must!

I was torn about dessert, but I went with the New Orleans Bread Pudding at Michelle's suggestion! I'm sure all the desserts are fantastic, but this one has got to be at the top of the list!

All in all, if you can swing by Baxter’s, don't pass it up! Well worth it!”

“It is such a beautiful little place. It has a cozy atmosphere. The food was fabulous. We had a party of 13. We had a wide range of delicious food. Lamb ..Chicken Filet Mignon.. Mussels .. Prawns... Sausage . with pastas spinach mashed potatoes green peppers it was all just so good. I totally recommend”

“We came across this incredible place about 4-5 months ago and have been hooked ever since. The owners Naomi and Dan are wonderful people and they create daily specials that they run out of almost every day because the food is that delicious!!! One of my favorites is Tuesday special: breaded pork chops with Mac& Cheese with gravy! My picky 4 years old LOVES their Mac & Cheese!!!! She asks for it every day LOL I love their fried Brussel sprouts !!!My husband loves their smoked andouille and chicken gumbo!! The soups are made from the scratch and are very yummy! Cream of cauliflower is our favorite and we also love others : mushroom spinachoke ( which is spinach and artichoke), southern chicken succotash. They have a lot of different soup which we haven’t event tried all yet. The soups change daily so check every day foe their soup special. Their po’ boy sandwiches are amazingly delicious as well! We love oyster po’ boy and sausage po’ boy and shrimp po’ boy all are delicious! Saturday 8-10:30 only they have yummy dessert beignets but you gotta call ahead coz they sell out of them fast!!! And the rice and beans special which they serve on Saturday is delicious! You can’t go wrong with ANY of their food but you CAN go wrong if you’ve driven and haven’t given them a chance! Try them today you won’t be sorry!!!”

“Just had my 3rd dining experience this morning and all 3 breakfast meals have been fantastic! As a person on the carnivore diet, I find it refreshing I can order an all protein meal and be completely satiated without paying an arm and a leg. Eggs were scrambled perfectly and the bacon was delicious. And who could have thought a simple burger patty could taste so good. Must be a magic griddle! Highly recommend! Oh, and service is amazing. My Americano was tasty!”

“I love the food here and have eaten here many times. I usually get the pho or banh mi. The smoothies are delicious! But the boba is gross. It always has a bite to it and never tastes sweetened with brown sugar or honey. That's fine though, I just don't order it!

Unfortunately the woman working at the front makes me feel like I'm not welcome or inconveniencing her every time we order. We always say hi, sometimes we have questions, and tell her to have a nice day, but we either never get a response or the response is low energy. There's no eye contact, low volume, and visible eye rolling or scoffing, I know customer service isn't a fun job, but it almost feels personal? I'm really glad they have an online ordering option and a kiosk now because I can avoid her. She triggers my social anxiety because I feel like I'm doing something wrong every time I'm there.”

“You know it's good when my 12yr old grandson eats all his spicy noodles. Plenty of food, no skimping, staff is wonderful. We're going to try the Concord location next. Same cook there that was in Southampton and he's great!”

“Just picked up my chicken soup this afternoon,my granddaughter wanted to go to the park,I ordered it over the phone and they said 10 minutes but we stayed at the park for. 45 minutes the soup and croissant was still hot not warm but hot my granddaughter loved the bread man lol”

“My wife and I stumbled into Drift for the first time last Sunday while spending the weekend in Wilmington for a comedy show I did. Absolute great coffee and a fantastic brunch. “Great little spot in the industrial area of Benicia. They had a fair amount of seating set up both indoors and outdoors, and they had 8-10 beers on tap. I went with their Golden Stout and really enjoyed it. The Beertender (Molly) was super friendly. I'd go back if I was in the area.”

“Chars has THE BEST hotdogs in California! Fast, friendly service, made to order burgers, fries and dawgs served up casual style inside of the historic Tannery Building...what's not to love! My favorites include their chili cheese and Chicago dawgs. Do yourself a favor and visit them today!

“This is one of the places that I've been supporting through COVID. The quality of food is always great, despite the supply chain issues. The bento box is the best deal, but I find the nuances, are more important - like the toasted rice in the green tea or the ogo seaweed.I recommend the spicy cucumbers, the tsukemono and the tataki nigiri.

“I ​happen to be in Benicia pet sitting for a friend. I don't even live in Benicia. I TRIED to order PIZZA AT 10:00 PM...they close at 11:00 pm On the website there is a special: small pizza ÷ toppi g or speciality$12.99 plus fountain drink Sounds great! I was going to get some garlic cheese bread as well. I call in to place my order and they told me I have to place it online... so I go back to the website and they're "not currently taking online orders". So I called back to the store and do you think that they would honor it or give me some sort of discount so I can get dinner tonight? NO! This was absolutely horrible customer service by both the male and female I spoke to. Absolutely insane to tell someone you have to order online but you can't order online. When I talked to the female she said my boss is the only one that can turn off the online ordering and I don't know why he would do that . ME EITHER...w you got a whole hour before you close! This restaurant DOES NOT even deserve any STARS! Not to mention the snarkiness of the female and the male that answered both times when I called. When I asked who the owner was she wouldn't give me that information and simply told me to call back tomorrow afternoon and speak to someone named AJ. I thought Benicia Pride themself on being a nice cozy wonderful town...but this certainly wasn't any of that. Shame on you!! I will also be contacting corporate along with posting on Tick Tock Instagram Facebook Yelp all of the above. The way I was treated they deserve all the bad press! Maybe next time they'll think about how they treat and talk to a customer or better yet get these folks better customer service training!!!”

“Very comfortable and open space here! You don't find that at many Starbucks these days, drive-thru or not. (this location is not a drive thru) Staff is very friendly, timely, and make a really good drink. I don't go to Benicia often but I want to start coming here more when I do go.”

“Definitely my favorite place for Chicago style hotdogs and hamburgers in Solano County. The polish with grilled onions is the best and you can take it into Cullen's Pub next door so you can have it with a beer on-tap. Seating both inside and outside with plenty of free parking on the streets of downtown Benicia. Don't forget the french fries.”
