“Been here multiple times and Aung MayLika never misses! Whenever I'm craving something homey and comforting, this is where I tend to gravitate. The food is just so flavorful! Some of my favorite dishes to order are the salt and pepper swai, the tea leaf salad, and the palatha with side of curry. Also, you can never go wrong with their Burmese milk tea. Service is usually quick and pleasant, even when they are packed with a full house. I usually dine-in for dinner, and they consistently satisfy my Burmese food cravings each time! They have a great selection of both meat and vegetarian dishes, soups, rice and noodle dishes, and some chef's specials, so there is definitely something for everyone! If you're a fan of Burmese food, I highly, highly recommend coming to Aung Maylika to get your fix! And if not, please try it out!“

The staff is always pleasant and helpful, and if you're not a beer drinker soft drink or coffee refills are plentiful. “I’ll give it 4.5 stars. It’s a chain sandwich spot. Bread was solid. Sandwich was good and hit the spot, but it’s not earth shattering. Staff was courteous. Come here for a solid sandwich. It feels very corporate-sandwich-shop-ish inside so I ate and left. I was wondering how this place earned 4.9 stars and found the note on the tables where they offer a free gift for a review. I am personally not a fan of that, so I wanted to share. Overall a solid chain sandwich spot.“

“*Just visit again ~The food is awesome and really big.But it tastes a little bit burnt at the bottom of the wrap, I’m not sure how can I call it? Crust or tortilla? Also, the sauce is amazing too!For a Taiwanese, it’s hard to accept spicy sauce with strong vinegar tasting, such as Tabasco. But the sauce you have is just amazing. No matter the green one(Cilantro Jalapeño)or the red one(Fire Chili), they’re spicy but without too much sour.I believe most of the Taiwanese or Chinese or Malaysian or Singaporean will love the sauce too.I'm Taiwanese, and their hot sauce doesn't have a strong vinegar flavor. If you don't like Tabasco's chutney,I seriously recommend this one“

“We ordered the pad thai, seafood pad thai, banh mi, and panang curry. The curry is one of the best Ive tried, it was insanely good, very well seasoned without tasting like they just used a bunch of MSG. Its a large portion as well so easily shared between two people with some rice. The banh mi (pork) was also REALLY good, super tender and succulent meat in between fresh crunchy bread. Very fairly priced for how big the sandwich is as well. Now the pad thai was pretty good. Nothing special but not bad at all, you would never be disappointed ordering pad thai here. We did have an issue with our seafood pad thai, however. First, it didn't taste as well seasoned as our regular pad thai and, second, the squid tasted a bit off. We were displeased as the regular pad thai was really good so we expected this to be on par or even better (especially since the seafood version is marked up quite a bit) but we probably wont try that again. My reason for leaving this review though was their incredible customer service. When i brought our issue to the lady's attention we had ordered with, she immediately took care of us. Didn't question if "our taste was off" or anything weird. She was very kind had zero issue with making things right as some restaurants often due. My family and i cant wait to come back! P.S. don't let the "little hole in the wall" vibe fool you. Personally i dont care about aesthetic or ambiance, the food is what matters and this place is one of the best we've tried in contra costa.“

“Thank you all so much for helping me reach over 9 million views and getting me into the top 10% for business and restaurant reviewers in the country. If you'd like to see more, like, follow, and share. Here's the review:This place gave gave me so much nostalgia. It was a nice cafeteria style space. You can see into the kitchen as well as the waitresses station. They have lots of positive messages on the walls, and they remember your faces when you walk in.I could tell the people there have been coming for years.I ordered the peanut butter waffle and substituted the bananas for strawberries and no whipped cream. I had scrambled eggs with cheese and the veggie sausage since they had it, and Im allergic to pork. Otherwise, I would have asked them to just remove the meat from my order. To drink, I chose the hot chocolate and forgot to take the picture before I began drinking it. You missed out on the perfect whipped cream mountain she put on it for me, and the sprinkles made that hot chocolate moment, my happy place. ?The eggs and sausage came out first. They tasted like normal eggs and cheese. Nothing over the top, just comfort breakfast. The veggie sausage, I could tell, was the real thing when I passed my fork over the top. It had this nice crust that only veggie sausages have. It was well flavored for breakfast as well.At some point, my waffle came, and oh boy, was it big!!!! The peanut butter they use is a but sweet, so keep that in mind for those who may need to reduce their sugar intake. But paired with the strawberries and the hot syrup, it was ?! The waffle was freshly made to order and had those nice crispy parts on the sides. The waffle was able to hold up to the moisture of the toppings as well, which is always a bonus.A couple of things I noticed when people watching the staff is this:1. They all enjoy working there2. They dont wash their hands enough between touching the cash register and your food3. They dont have a drop plate under the drink dispenser and spill liquid on the floor, which is carpeted. I can only imagine the number of germs that spread. And seeing ine waitress pick something up off the floor and toss it out without washing her hands after, worried me.Improving these few things would make this place even better than it is. The staff were all friendly and helped each other. They communicate well and just need to wash their hands a little bit more often to keep germs from spreading. In the meantime, check out the images attached to my review to see what I had. And if you're looking for a small town cafateria vibe where people gather for the good vibes and breakfast that tastes like home, this is your spot. It's not fancy and over the top. It's home.? enjoy!Vegetarian options: Veggie sausage option, and you can swap out some things to make it how you want.Kid-friendliness: There were children here, so I am sure they have children's favorites ?“

“Nicks is one of my favorite more health conscious dining options in my area. My mom came to visit this weekend and that's where we grabbed lunch after a bit of shopping. I ordered my usual gyro bowl without rice.. all romaine lettuce. The plan was to split one salad we weren't that hungry. When we got the salad it had rice and I absolutely did not want rice. So I went back to the counter and the gentleman was immediately apologetic. He handled the situation as if we were at a 5 star dining establishment. I enjoy the food considerably as it stands. “Heavenly bistro is kind of a hole in the wall type of place nestled in a strip mall with some non-food shops like a nail place. I arrived around 930a on a Friday morning and there were around 15 people total inside, a lot of empty tables. It filled up a little more around 1015. However, parking was hard. Lots of groups of friends were dining there-- several groups of young men, and as I entered a group of young women left. Inside the restaurant is interesting. Pop music plays at a medium volume. It's clean but not sparkling clean. The tables are a little sticky. The chairs are a little worse for wear; one wood chair at my table was taped in several places with masking tape. They are storing their excess bread in the dining area, as well as cups, coffee, water, and silverware. It's well organized. The menu is large, and the average price per item is at least $17. I ordered a hot chocolate with almond milk for $4, so they didn't give me whipped cream and instead did a dusting of cinnamon which I thought was a nice little thing to do instead. It was creamy and milk-chocolatey. It arrived steaming hot. I also ordered the california omelette for $18 and asked them to replace the toast with fruit (since I have celiac disease and cannot eat gluten/bread/wheat). I also asked for the sour cream on the side. So far I have modified everything in my order and the waitress is UNFAZED and happy to help. I appreciated that a lot. The omelette took less than ten minutes to come out. The omelette was stuffed full of chicken, spinach, and cheese, with a salsa on top that has a mild kick. It had three slices of avocado. One thing to note is that though they list this as an egg-white-only omelette, it did appear to also have yolk. That doesn't really matter to me but it might matter to others. Everything was just SEASONED. Like everything had flavor. If you're sensitive to spice I'd let them know because there's a very subtle kick to everything. All the fruit they gave me was ripe. In terms of the potatoes, I'm not usually a potato person (controversial I know). But these potatoes were good. They're crispy and really well seasoned, garlicky and stuff. They have a large assortment of jams (orange marmalade, strawberry, blueberry, blackberry). They have a good assortment of hot sauces-- Tabasco, tapatio, and a local californian brand called the pepper plant. The prices are definitely justified in the portions. I was full after eating about half. When I went to pay I realized-- nightmare-- I forgot my entire wallet. I asked if they had Apple Pay and they did, thank goodness. They were gracious and really nice. Was not the best food in the world but the service was nice and the food came fast. Would come back!“

“I came here with my parents on a random Saturday and I have mixed feelings. First off- it's important to give them huge kudos for the pizza. I was very impressed. The quality of the dough is on point, and the toppings were generous and delicious. They all are in the 9-10 inch range, so small enough to eat one on your own and be full or have leftovers. It also makes it easy to split a few of them amongst several people. The bread they bring as a starter is nothing to write home about. It kind of tasted like that frozen dough you thaw out when you need to throw something together. BUT the red pesto sauce it's served with is to die for. I ended up putting it on everything. Calamari is awesome too. However, I've never tried anything else on their menu. Truth be told, it's because most of the pasta dishes look rather unappetizing. They're swimming in watery sauce. I can't really speak to the taste so I could just be judging a book by its cover, but I'm most likely to just stick to the pizza. As for the service, things get a bit strange. The woman who served us (I think the owner?) was nice enough but her energy was loud, frazzled and intimidating. Whenever she came by the table I would get anxious. It's also not the cleanest or nicest looking- kind of just your run of the mill sticky table type place. I'd recommend just getting everything to go.Overall, pretty great pizza joint and I'm sure I'll be back soon (for takeout going forward)“
