“Quite literally the best Mediterranean food in the Bay Area!! If you're lucky enough to enjoy some Fava, you're quite lucky indeed. The falafel is crispy and all the ingredients are sourced carefully and the resulting quality is phenomenal!Jeremy and his wife are amazing and the kindest business owners I have come across in Berkeley - they really put the love into the food they serve. My go to's are the Falafel Flatbread Sandwich, Escarole Salad With Blood Oranges, and the Mango Lassi to wash it down. The perfect lunch on Saturday 10/10 would recommend to a friend!Thank you FAVA for bringing such an amazing food staple to Berkeley“
“First time I had Lucia's pizza was at their pop up at the Grand Lake farmers market in oakland, and completely fell in love with the 4 cheese pizza! Decided to try the restaurant a couple of months ago and the didn't disappoint! Pizza was delicious and staff were super nice and friendly! Totally recommend them if you're looking to have a legit Italian pizza experience!“
“So good. Keep doing this. My sandwich was huge and flavorful. Whatever bacony goodness included with this had me checking the website for delivery to Philly ( sadly no?).Good service, nice cafe vibes. Attention staff. Food came very quickly for a busy weekend morning.Highly recommend ??????????Vegetarian options: Vegan!“
“This place is AMAZING and at such a good price. We had the Achari chicken pizza and it was incredibly good - you can choose spice level and halal/no halal. The owners/workers are super super nice and there are games set up (Carom, chess, board games etc.) Highly recommend!!!“
“Boichik is a weekly favorite of mine. You can't go wrong with your choice of bagel, although pumpernickel caraway salt is currently my top choice. The coffee's good too, hot or iced. On top of everything, everyone who works there is super, super nice. SPECIAL SHOUT OUT to Lisa! She always makes my day and never fails to brighten up the room :)Last thing to keep in mind for the uninitiated: there's limited seating (especially when it's raining -- there are just 4 tables inside) and the bagels tend to get sold out before 11:30-12 on the weekend.Vegetarian options: They have vegan cream cheese (plain, strawberry, or chive) and several of their bagels are inherently vegan. Vegan creamer is available as well.“
“Quick Slice At Zachary's in Albany, WOOHOO!!! It's the friendly wait staff, perfect quiet room on a Sunday morning and satisfying portions of salads which keep me coming for more. As a former Cal student, I would hit Zachary's to take in their infamous stuffed pies. They're still keeping the tradition after 40 years. If you haven't had one, you're in for a tasty, hearty meal.“
“Our neighborhood finally has a new gem of a restaurant! Everything about this spot is wonderful. The attention to detail in the decor (cozy fireplace, exposed brick, distressed woodwork, leaf-shaped cushions, gold silverware, plants galore) is transportive. The food is ravishingly fresh and thoughtfully prepared. On two different visits, we shared Market Salads, Chia Bowls, Yogurt Bowls, and Lava Eggs. Tanzie, the owner, is delightful, and you can tell she has a hand in every dish. My 8-year-old, who is a very picky eater, loved the yogurt bowl, eggs, and especially the Thai Beignets! Finally, a brunch I can look forward to, a few steps from my house...“
“One of the best restaurants around the UC Berkeley campus. Quality, fresh tasting food and always hits the spot every time. A bit pricey for the portion size, but compared to the rest of Berkeley it’s 100% worth it. If you want fast, tasty Mediterranean food, this is the spot.“
“I've been going to the Dublin and Livermore Sourdough sandwich shop since they opened. The food is always great, as is the service. Since I live in Livermore, I go to this place almost daily. The owners are so nice and always greet customers when they come in. I had them cater a huge pickleball event for our Tri-Valley Pickleball Club and they did an outstanding job. I highly recommend them as the premier sandwich shop in Livermore and the Tri-Valley.“
“We did take out of a pie - large - and haven’t eaten it yet. Very soon! We took a chance with the online number guess and lost. Our consolation price was a free large salad - Yay. Because the place is so new the manager didn’t know about the salad offer but as soon as he read my offer on my phone he had staff make up a beautiful salad for us to take home. Nice customer service.“
“Came in for breakfast with my husband It was a week day and it was pretty busy. We were seated right away. I started out with a cafe latte with caramel it was very good. My husband had an iced mocha that was very good too. I ordered a combo breakfast with French toast, bacon and eggs. The bacon and French toast were good. My husband had my eggs and was happy with them as they had added green onions. My husband had the chicken chorizo scrambler he was content with it. He did note he would have liked a little more seasoning on the potatoes. I had a bite and it was ok. I think $64.00 is a little expensive for two coffees a two breakfasts. I am unsure if I would come back for breakfast.“
“I have to admit that these bagels really are delicious and they very much remind me of some of my favorites from New York in particular, and the East Coast generally. In fact, with the exception that it's too far away for me to just walk there and get a warm one, it kind of reminds me of a cross between an H&H bagel and an Ess-a-bagel from Manhattan. I've been there twice now, and I've had a plain bagel with lox, a sesame bagel with cream cheese, and the frozen plain bagels, and some fresh cinnamon raisin bagels. All were fresh and delicious. There always seems to be a crowd outside the shop, particularly because you walk up to order from the outside and then the bagels are brought out to you, so everybody's either waiting for their order or ordering be mindful of their opening hours, because they close a little early, and you know what it's like when you're really wanting a bagel and they're closed, or sold out. Honestly, it's probably best for me that I can only get these when I happen to be in Berkeley, and that only happens every few months.“
“Very cute place on the corner. We had the lamb and chicken platter combo and the salmon platter as well as the falafel wrap. All super good. Very glad we stopped here. Satisfied with this meal! Great service and the food is fresh and delicious with big portions.“
“The food was really good and the service was decent. I was a bit confused about why there was duct tape on the long booth and why the books that the checks came in had torn plastic in them. Those things kind of threw the vibe off, but the food was really tasty. ?“
“We always order momos from this place, and they never disappoint. Last time, we tried some other dishes, and the noodles weren't great. Still, the momos are the best around, The momos have amazing flavors, and the prices are fair. We usually do takeout, but we're excited to eat in sometime. Despite the noodle issue, it's still our favorite spot for satisfying our momo cravings.“
“Incredibly delicious, affordable, and filling rice triangles. I love stopping by to order here whenever I’m in the area. The food is delicious and a perfect meal. Personally, 2 rice triangles fills me up just right, I get the teriyaki chicken ones personally.“
“The sandwiches are delicious. The honey wheat bread is excellent. The salads are excellent. The restaurant Nice and clean.Parking: Parking is terrible. To the owners, is it possible to open another restaurant? Is this your only location? The rock ridge area will be a great location for another restaurant with parking.“
“Our club had a gathering of 25 people and we needed sandwiches for our group. We contacted Summer Kitchen who graciously took our order to be ready the next day. Our variety of 4 kinds were prepared to perfection in freshness of bread, the meats and veggies. Thank you to Summer Kitchen for saving our lunch. We'll definitely be back!“
“Wow. Such a simple yet amazing concept.Pizza of the day and some salsa verde, was this a dream? 2 of my favorite things, together and killing it.Run, don’t walk here. Pictured is the pizza of the day with really fresh ingredients. This pie is gluten free and you can’t even tell. Wow!!Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free Available“
“This is our favorite non-fancy bougie breakfast and coffee place in Berkeley. I always get the croissant breakfast sandwich with orange juice. They also serve THE avocado toast (the one that prevents us millennials from buying property) and their iced coffees are delicious too.“
“It's wonderful to have a high quality Thai restaurant in the neighborhood. Thai Delight does a good job with the menu, and the ambience is great. Casual but very clean, quiet, and comfy. The new owners have transformed one wall into a charming mural that defies description. Service is at times uneven but mostly warm and attentive. It's become our go-to spot.“
“i’ve been here three times now and i can definitely say, this place makes great burritos! i love the carne asada special burrito but tbh the chips could be better. the horchata is really good, the workers are friendly, and the prices aren’t as bad as they could be. super convenient location, great vibe inside, and a fair amount of indoor seating. i came here for my 19th birthday dinner and really enjoyed it.“
“Really good & healthy foods here! I came here looking for something healthy, delicious, and I was pleasantly surprised. The staff is really friendly and the food was ready fast. You should check them out, they have vegan options and meat toppings as well.“
“Pizza tasted awesome. Tried the California chicken garlic and probably one of the best chicken pizzas I've tried so far. The staff were very good and welcoming.Give them a try. Also tried the beef taco pizza, a little hot because of the jalapeno but tasted great. They said it'll be ready in 10 minutes and right at 10min, it was ready.“
“Came here with a small group of friends. It was a nice day out so we enjoyed the outdoor seating on their patio. Dog friendly outside. I had the Western burger and a salad we got one curly fry that we were all able to share! Everything was delicious. The service was quick and everything was served fresh. I recommend this place for a good burger/fries!“
“My daughters and I had a birthday celebration dinner at Barney's yesterday. This was the first time I have eaten at a restaurant since the beginning of the pandemic so it was wonderful to have outdoor seating because I felt very comfortable. I would really like to commend the waitstaff. They were incredibly nice and so attentive! I worked in the hospitality industry before the pandemic, and I know how important it is to provide great customer service. The food was excellent. We ordered Cobb salads, three different types of fries and I enjoyed a salmon burger. My daughter had a great hamburger. I also appreciate the fact that takeout boxes are provided because we ordered more than we could eat at one sitting. Thank you for making my daughter's birthday celebration so epic. I won't let another four years pass before I visit Barney's again.“
“I like La Val's a lot, and if you (like me) want cheap pizza, it's a good choice. Sometimes it's not the most delicious slice and sometimes the service can be less than perfect, but that's not really what I come here for. It just has that great campus atmosphere and good, casual eats.“
“I had it delivered so I can't speak on service or ambiance at this time. The food was delicious. I had an early green boost and vegan salad. The drink was so refreshing and delicious. The salad was filling, tasty, appetizing, and balanced. I would definitely eat here again. Wish they had a few more vegan options.“
“We stumbled upon Tender Greens while on vacation and I’m so glad we did! Very friendly staff and amazing service, going above and beyond when our order was taking awhile because they ran out of cooked white rice. Everything we ordered was so good. My salmon pacific bowl was so delicious and it blew me away how fresh and flavorful everything was. I wish we lived closer to this place!“
“Curry pizza house has really good Indian and traditional pizzas. The malai chicken pizza is so good! They don’t skimp on toppings. My pizzas were ready in 15 minutes. Customer service is great. Veronica is very sweet and helpful. Definitely going back to try more flavors.“
