I have to admit that these bagels really are delicious and they very much remind me of some of my favorites from New York in particular, and the East Coast generally. In fact, with the exception that it's too far away for me to just walk there and get a warm one, it kind of reminds me of a cross between an H&H bagel and an Ess-a-bagel from Manhattan. For many years, San Francisco and Oakland have had wonderful bakeries but lacked the ability to make delicious bagels! That changed when Boichik Bagels opened up their bagel bakeries! We had heard about their fantastic bagels but being from New York City we were skeptical that any bagel shop in Oakland could compete with any of our local bakeries. Well, I’m happy to report that BOICHIK Bagels are absolutely as good if not better than our favorite NYC bagel shops!

i picked up a sleeve of everything bagels at the berkeley bowl. they were great. tasty. bagels not bread, that's the key. of course creme cheese, tomato and pepper helped out as well.
