“My family stumbled upon this little cupcake shop in Berkeley while on a day trip. There is a good assortment of decadent cupcakes to be had. We tried two (cookies and cream and the red velvet )and they were magnificent! I highly recommend! The shop is small with no sit down options so you must take your treats to go.“
“Spotted Tim posting about his cake pre-order from a Facebook group post and decided to try their tie guan yin basque cheesecake with osmanthus cream. I picked it up in Japantown, which was pretty smooth with a small line of folks picking up their orders as well. The cake turned out to be a bit smaller than I anticipated, smaller than 6 inches, but maybe that was just because it's a basque cheesecake. It also had a hefty weight to it. We enjoyed it later that night, and the tea flavor was really pronounced, with a nice roasty taste. The inside was incredibly creamy, and it probably the best texture I've had in a basque cheesecake. The burnt crust on top added a nice touch, though it wasn't as prominent due to the tea flavor. The osmanthus cream didn't bring a ton of flavor; it just introduced a light creaminess. The cake held up well in the fridge over the next few days. While it leaned a little on the expensive side, it's a delightful treat for those who enjoy basque cheesecakes.“
“Marla is an incredible baker ...The wedding cake was described by guests as 'the best I've ever tasted, even better than my own wedding cake!'She works with the customer to craft a delicious work of art, even baking a flavor that was not on the menu. Bottom was red velvet, middle was guava and the top was ube ... a fabulous purple color. Frosting was yummy, not excessively sweet. Perfect cake for a very special occasion!“
“I can't say enough about how wonderful they are at Love at First Bite! I go there every year for birthday cakes for my kids! The cakes are delicious and they do a great job. For a few years during the pandemic, they weren't doing customized cakes but now they are doing it again - and the work is beautiful! So if you see that it's packed, don't be dissuaded I got mini moon cakes from here for the Mid-Autumn Festival and they were good, dense but not too sweet.“

We had them delivered for our small wedding reception and no less than 10 people out of the 30 there asked where we got them because they were that amazing. People even talked about them the following day. We had: chocolate tres leches, caramel, tres leches, passionfruit, red velvet.
