“Good dine in experience.. The combo rice dish was flavourful and was of a decent helping. The rice was lacking the butter flavouring in my opinion. The beef and chicken skewers were done perfectly though. The only thing I didn't like, was the "mint tea". Was served a cup of hot water with a few mint leaves in it, but no sign of tea anywhere. Thought it quite odd that they'd call it tea then..Quite reasonable pricing too, for today's world.. Found a parking structure within walking distance from the restaurant at $2.50 for the first 2 hours.. so don't bother driving around in circles trying to find a street parking spot.“
“The food was really good and the service was decent. I was a bit confused about why there was duct tape on the long booth and why the books that the checks came in had torn plastic in them. Those things kind of threw the vibe off, but the food was really tasty. ?“
“Very cool ambiance! The cocktails were well crafted and the food was really flavorful! Only a few cons- the music was a bit loud so sometimes it felt like shouting to have a conversation and it was a bit surprising to only get one taco per serving for the price - but it was a very good taco (the saffron chicken).“
“We love the food here and come almost every week. Everything is cooked so well, we often get the lamb shank or zereshk polo and the meat just falls apart from the bone. The warm bread is delicious and goes well with all dishes. The lemonades are super unique and delicious, I really like the pistachio one!Picture is zereshk polo with yogurt and eggplant appetizers :)“
“The food says it all. If you are in the S.F. Bay Area, you need to treat yourself to this delicious food. The ambiance is amazing too. Dress up if you like. It is an exotic and esoteric experience that welcomes casual and dressy alike. I find myself ordering takeout or catering. After you find your faves on the vast menu, try the catering too because you can get specific with your order and share with colleagues, friends and family. Here are a few of my faves from Chef Nigel: Oxtails Salmon Rice and Peas Brussel Sprouts with cherries Jamaican Jerk Chicken Salad“
“we were at the Fairmont for a seminar and needed to find a lunch place. I'm carb reduced and the few options nearby were going to be a salad only option for lunch. I've been going to Maykadeh for 30ish years, so I suggested it. I had 2 side koobideh skewers (no rice)and my companions chose ghorme sabzi and khoresht badmjan. Everyone was really happy with the lunch and one companion had the pear, ice cream, and raspberry sauce for dessert“
“Best Persian food in the East Bay. I have tried all of them. Fresh, delicious and made to order. Nice people and wonderful flavors. I had the falafel and salmon wraps and they were amazing. The salmon was marinated in advance of grilling and therefore had its own distinct flavor. The falafel balls were very tasty and the wrap bread used for both was original middle eastern bread. I've also had the meat plates and rice. The meat was tender and flavorful and grilled to order. The bolani was amazing, freshly made, and packed items ready to take home are also authentic and delicious. They have vegetarian & vegan options in addition to meat.“
