“All meals were included during our stay at Alila Ventana, and many dishes were both flavorful and creative. I particularly loved the hen egg appetizer and the sablefish main course at dinner. For lunch, we enjoyed the guacamole and chips, habanero chicken wings, fish and chips, and coconut ice cream.
The service was fantastic, and the patio offered a stunning view that made the experience even more memorable!

“Stopped here for breakfast while driving down Highway 1. What a treat. We stopped on a weekday at the end of September and the views were stunning. The food was delicious, but the view alone made this a great stop. We sat out on the patio and enjoyed the breeze.”

“My experience here was fantastic. My mom and I stopped for lunch while exploring the Big Sur area. We got the fish and chips with iced tea and it hit the spot. Very fresh, tasty, and reasonably priced for the portion size and location of the restaurant. We had unobstructed views of the ocean from the dining area and the service was great. Would definitely recommend stopping here!”

Wines were top notch. Especially love the Chardonnay, 3 Sisters Pinot Noir, and Syrah. Very nice cheese and charcuterie board. Definitely recommend checking them out.”

It was a perfect party of palatable joy! A friend of Christina's had recommended the Meyer's Lemon Prosciutto Pizza. Serious magic on the tongue!!! And the crust... I normally don't eat the crust of a pizza. I devoured every bit. My favorite pizza is a margarita pizza. We shared. It was every bit as delightful as the Meyer's lemon! I'm a calamari snob. HANDS DOWN the BEST calamari on the Monterey Peninsula! Tender, light, fresh Monterey Bay calamari. And they are brilliant enough to serve it with both tartar sauce and a delightful cocktail sauce. You MUST experience the PEAR SALAD! We delightfully sipped LaMarca Prosecco during our meal. The servers were friendly and caring. The pizza cook a genius! We asked if we could bring fresh gluten-free pizza dough and if they would use it to prepare a pizza for Christina's daughter next week. They are happy to accommodate! It definitely without any hesitation is worth the drive into beautiful Carmel Valley!!! I can't wait to go again and again. I have to try their pasta with Bolognese and their short rib...♥️♥️♥️”

A friend had the fried chicken and said it was excellent. Another recommended the Patty Melt.

But it's really all about the decorations!! The ceiling and walls are covered in old boots, animal skins, animal heads, signs, saddles, horns, pictures, chairs, hats, etc. etc. etc.

We were told by two locals during our wine tastings that this is the bar all locals come to at night.

The service was excellent!! Really wish I remember the server's name, but she has as much character as the restaurant does!!! Loved chatting with her. She gave us some excellent wine tasting recommendations too!!”
