“Just like my grandmother's cooking! Authentic Pinoy food. Get your friends hooked on this place it's legit! My family often will use their catering services for our gatherings. It's always a hit, and by tradition you know where the left overs (grab your country crock tub) go! I also brought some lumpia shanghai to work, and lets say I was the cool guy in the office for a week. I'm always recommending this place to other, be it if they are Filipino or looking to try Filipino dishes.“

“We've been going here since 2012. Our merienda go-to place whenever we are in Buena Park. My all time favorite is their savory chicken. There's no way I will leave without a dozen siopao because they're so good. Their servers are so helpful and friendly. Feels like home whenever we are here. They have the best TAHO I've ever tried! “I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Ron, at a nonprofit event where Teofilo had a booth. While I initially was drawn in by the aroma, I lingered to hear the story of his business and the history of Filipino coffee, which added depth to the experience. The bold, unique flavor of their coffee sets them apart from chain coffee shops, leaving a memorable impression that ensures future visits whenever I'm in the area. Teofilo is not just a coffee shop; it's a cultural journey with each sip.“

“Nice brunch place that has the classics and specialities, with a Filipino and even American trendy brunch style twist, but at slightly lower to comparable prices to other brunch spots.Everything we tried was done perfectly, I especially loved the Birria chilaquiles ($18, not too bad a price for being a huge, shareable portion). We liked the ube cold brew ($7) and even the regular hot coffee (only $3) was very good, as was the ube horchata ($4).The online waitlist is a nice feature, we joined the waitlist on the way over around 9:30 a.m. on a Sunday and were seated immediately“

We got Baked bangus, Beef ribs, Tuna Belly, and Liempo. All tastes delicious. Bibingkinitan is very good, its still moist even when you reheat it on the microwave. Don't forget to get WOWTAHO! Tastes exactly like philippines. The Best Taho in SOCAL.“

“After some time visiting our go to Filipino restaurant in Lomita and after they changed location, raising prices, and deciding to go full blown commercial, decided to take a drive to Cerritos and pay 'Pinoy Pinay' a visit and give them a try.Me and my family came with a healthy appetite for Filipino home cooking.Being our first time not really knowing the outcome observed the many people visiting this spot. The smells and displays of their food was quite tantalizing. They have a large variety of dishes to choose from and our favorite is curry chicken, chicken/pork Adobo, pork menudo, pancit, lumpia, and I love binagoongan (which to my disappointment they didn't have today). My wife and daughter got their special combo with Curry chicken, grilled pork skewers which came with 3 scoops of rice. One bag of Lumpia and sweet dipping sauce.I got their special combo with Filipino menudo, pork Adobo, and the 3 scoops of rice. One of the servers behind the hot cases asked if I wanted their free bowls of homemade soup (being that I love soup) "Yes please" she also asked if my wife wanted one as well for she was ready to pay without getting any. She turned it down knowing she wouldn't finish it.After getting our food we selected a booth and started to enjoy our meals. To all of our surprise, everything was delicious. I was disappointed in the soup for it was just a tad bit on the vinegary side. I have had the chicken soup at our old Filipino go to restaurant and enjoyed it there, however here, was not for the taste palette. With the soup being too vinegary and their fish sauce/vinegar bottles on the dining tables needing a little tending to (could use to change to a more convenient dispenser), being my only gripe, I give this restaurant a 4 star.Restaurant was clean, organized, and had great service. We will be coming back to check out more items on the menu.Great Filipino food Pinoy Pinay!“

“My boyfriend and I both for a half and half with two items. We got the chicken adobo, pork adobo, sisig, and vegetable. chicken adobo: 4.5/5I would say that it is a bit salty for my liking but the rice and noodles balanced out the saltiness in the chicken. pork adobo: 4.5/5 The pork adobo was also a bit salty but it was still really yummy. The onion in the pork adobo was a nice touch too. sisig: 5/5 The sisig was really good. I didn't think it was salty but my boyfriend did. There was a nice balance of meat and fat in each piece. They give a lot of rice and noodles for each plate. We were given regular white rice rather than the garlic rice but I think that's just because we went 2 hours before they were going to close.Overall, the worker was very nice and very generous in the amount of food that he gave us for each plate. I was sad about not being able to the ube flan but that was a given as we did go to the restaurant late.“

“Green Banana Leaf is inside a plaza, can be chaotic to find parking on weekend lunch hours as it is near other popular food/ drink places such as bopomofo and 86 cafe.We ordered arroz caldo ( Filipino chicken ginger congee ), it is pretty good! I like the gingerly taste and warmness. We also ordered the pancit ( stirred fried rice noodle with pork ), the portion is large and we take the rest home after. The combination with the rice noodle, cabbage, pork , green onion and shrimp is pretty tasty. Although the shrimp is a little bit smaller.Service is pretty good, the lady is friendly, ask to refill our water, saw our table is a little bit dirty and offer to wipe it down for us.Inside they have a karaoke stage, and projector of music videos, music is lively. We went during lunch and haven’t seen people on stage but the music is soothing to hear. Inside the restaurant is mostly decorated green and red theme- like Christmas lol.Would recommend this place!Parking: Parking on weekend lunch hour is a little bit chaotic since there are other popular restaurants around“

“Grabbed takeout from Kainan Sa Kanto in Stanton's Smart & Final Plaza. The BBQ chicken and pork skewers were full of flavor and quite tender. The lumpiang shanghai was crispy, just the way I like it. Also, tried the leche flan, which was creamy and satisfying. However, the puto bumbong could use some improvement in texture. Minimal dine-in seating available. Ordering by phone was easy, and the person taking the order was friendly. Overall, a decent spot for Filipino takeout if you're in the area.“

“Great everything. I thought this was a Mexican restaurant but found out it is a Phillapeno restaurant. I never had Phillapeno food before but now I am hooked. The fried chicken is the best I've had in my life.I hate the skin of chicken because it's always to greasy or not crisp enough. This was perfect ,crispy onbthe outside & tender juicy on the inside with great flavor. My friend & I shared garlic rice, and a mixed noodle dish with combination of meats. Yummy. We will be back to try other dishes, but always get that great fried chicken. Service was spot on also, very friendly & clean place.Vegetarian options: Can get great veggie dishes with different rice selection and noodles.Parking: It's in a small strip mall,so lots of parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Has tables you can put a wheelchair at,also handicap parking in front of restaurant.“

“The restaurant at first glance was nice. The service was super slow. Once they seated us they handed us menus but no explanations and dashed off. We couldn't figure out who our actual server was because we had different people approach our table. When we finally got our food order the portions were small disappointing - none of them came with rice! We had to order rice a la cart! Another eating delay..... I can say the food was good and presented nicely, but the process don't match the experience.“

“1st time here. Pretty good. Large serving of food. I tried the Chicken curry adobo bowl and Dynamite fries. 1st..the bowl was huge. Stuffed with chickrn, rice and curry sauce. In terms of sharing..10/10. In terms of taste 7/10. The meat was thigh meat which I am not a fan of. The taste was good though, and the size was great. The sweet potato dynamite fries need a lot of help. There was an ample amount, but 7.50 for fries...I expected some really loaded fries. There was a sliver if cilantro, a teaspoon of sauce and maybe 4 garlic cloves. I asked for more sauce and it was an upcharge. The guy took a picture of my fries and gave me the sauce free??? WtH??? Anyway...worth a try if at Rodeo 39.“

Daniela's Kitchenette (Inside of Fresh Catch Market) Filipino •
11618 South St, Artesia - 5.07 miles

“Went here on a Friday morning because I was craving Asian food after primarily eating American food for the past 4 days on a cruise ship. There were already a ton of options to choose from despite arriving there at 9:45 am. Two item combo. Grilled pork, Jeprox (salted, dried smelt fish) with garlic rice ( $13.99): the pork was tender and juicy with a decent amount of fat. The jeprox was crispy with the typical salty flavor, but it was even better when vinegar was added. The garlic fried rice was fluffy with mild garlic flavor. Overall, it was an 8/10 rating. The ambiance is relaxed, as it is on the right side within the grocery store with plenty of tables to dine in, and about half of the patrons take their food to go. The service was fast and attentive. I'd return here after my next cruise.“
